The mechanic is so stupid in this game. If you call for on the highway, there's a chance he'll come from the other side and drive to an exit and turn around and then stop in front of you. Sometimes he just doesn't even come.

Or when you're on foot and under a highway, he might deliver it on top of the highway, leaving you having to take a long walk to an on ramp and walking to your car.

The other day, I called him for my Adder and the next thing I know, he comes out of an alley and repeatedly crashes into a wall when turning until I approached and he got out. The result: He got 3 punches to the face and pancaked, while I got $20 and had to repair my scratched and dented car.

Once I was standing on a bridge and my mechanic delivered my car into the LS river.
Also the many times that he's said 'Agh, I can't get to you there!' when you're at a perfectly accessible road, and meanwhile if you call for a car at the dirt road adjacent to Fort Zancudo he will immediately deliver your car from the wetlands.

Are you guys carrying cars over with the Cargobob (which I can not find for the life of me) or simply calling the mechanic? I tried the latter a few times when I went to Ludendorff, but to no avail.

You can call the mechanic when you are at north yankton. First you have to die when your there

Pretty sure they spawn randomly. I've found them at every helicopter spawn point. One way to get them is to go to LSIA, if one doesn't spawn, drive over to the hangars at the other side of the runways and back, and a new helicopter should spawn. Keep doing this until you get one.

You can call the mechanic if you stand in the middle of the road near the huge wooden Beaver. It doesn't seem to work anywhere else.

There a mission glitch that lets you get in those buildings but for the IAA building you need to parachute in

Edit: You need to do the Ludendorff island glitch before you can get into Ludendorff bank
