Right, let's see (still waiting on that essay mad ;))

First of all thanks for turning up guys. Despite the appaling servers still a decent night. Although I think standards were lacking a bit. But hopefully just a one off

Race 1 - starting on comforts is not a good idea . seemed to spread out a bit but not as bad as I thought. I think pit window needs to be brought back
Race 2 - started at back for some reason. Was having a good battle with ingo and stocky, then stocky lagged into me. end of the stint ingo was a second a lap quicker, that BMW is really good on them tyres. Then forgot to buy SM so finishing the race on comforts is not a good idea lol. But that race looked great. 20 min race?
Race 3 - damn wheel :/

So, the Volvo. I know ian is damn quick but I thought the tyre wear would kill the Volvo, and so would the pen. nope, good job mate. surprised the car held out

VW - first of all I thought oh no, even TRL guys cant drive it. although then it killed at Monaco. feedback?

success pens. top job @sb360

i'm now thinking due to more drivers, just keep D1 and 2 drivers

sorry mate was just about to answer.

nice thanks 👍

Ahhh mate, if only you knew what we are upto right now. ;)
why do I imagine you still have just your helmet on running around to benny hill.....

Does it let you download them? Doesn't let me do 🤬 since they're mine to begin with...

I couldn't get the tires to last at all in the Volvo, and the sm's were appalling for pace. :banghead: Although my tuning is shall we say... under par...

My quick view guys: I LOVE IT

Race 1 worked fine imo, I know the FF's (Ian) started to loose grip come the end, but my view on this is that in the 20 laps that the top 4 ran bumper to bumper it's not so hard to overtake an FF (Ian) into a corner but you just can't get enough space on them (him) befor the next corner by which point they (he) has overtaken you on the straight. I think between me, @FaithlessEmo and @DR_ingo5 we tried every overtaking move in the book to get a pass to stick. So the tyres going off a bit at the end imo made it even.
....................
Race 2 I love the SS SM tyre change strategy (please don't scrap this) it's great being on a differant tyre to someone else and the thought that no one really knows what others are on.

But I think the Pit Window needs to be EXACTLY in the middle of the race, so that it doesn't advantage one stint over another, like tonight I started on SM had to do 10 laps so had 15 laps on the SS, But for those who started on the SS could do upto 20 laps on the SS.
....................
Race 3, Super pole  and sprint race  perfect.
....................
For the Penalty system yea it seemed to do its job, at the end of the day aslong as it uses a % of the individual cars bhp (which it does) it's allways going to be completely fair across the board. It just the amount that can be altered.

But as @sb360 has altered it to eliminate the want to drop a place (5th to 6th) to gain power for the next race, to me it seems pretty PERFECT  albeit somewhat bloody confusing

it's letting me but taking awhile  so will do it when I have time to let it thanks mate 👍

 That's strategy mate, even top teams make bad strategy calls.

Please, for the love of god, don't do this. Window should be between 25% and 75%, then you make your own luck from there.

You guys did 25 laps at Motegi? Thought Race 2 was half an hour? Now wonder you were still racing 15 minutes after we finished...

thanks mate 👍

No rush to d/l, just wanted to make sure they could be retrieved... Cheers m8

The tyres are hard work on the Volvo, you're no the only one struggling mate. ;) I got some good results but I've had a full season of the BTCC in that car (which I won) and my tune is fairly advanced. I've done over 10k miles in my main Volvo now and I've got 3 others in my garage....so you could say that I'm accustomed to it's handling.

I hope that it doesn't get nerfed based on my results today, because I drove that car hard and gave it my all. Those that have raced with me in the BTCC know what I'm like, those that haven't are soon going to find out. ;)

I liked the SM tyres, they gave a nice element of strategy to the race and without them I probably couldn't do the 30 mins with tyre wear on fast. It's interesting seeing which strategy people opt for and waiting to see how the race unfolds after the pit window.

no, pam wanted to do race 2 at motegi to try the power pen a bit more

so far, I think race 1 needs the pit window back. will just make it better across the board in my opinion
Race 2, it stays. maybe deg can be bought down to normal. pit window i'm still unsure at

In Pre-Q we had a full room, with AWOL drivers too. I think now we have more, it's better to split people into D1/2 with 3 of each car available

@True-blue-8

The Golf was soo slow in a straight line and lack of acceleration compared to the other cars. However it did corner good.

National Circuit is a cars track for sure, while Monaco is tricky and is a challenge for drivers.

@GT_Vette Do you agree about the Golf?

So what were the laps around Silverstone in the end anyway? I was doing 1:03 on SM, possible 1:02's if I could get the car's understeer issues on the power settled...

exactly, at Monaco it showed what it and you can really do

I think its ok as is, just Silverstone is a bad round for it

I think PreQ might just add an extra layer of complexity to things and takes longer to do. I like the idea of returning to div1/2 but with the same car choices we have now and then promotion/demotions each week with points being scored from 1st in div 1 to last in div 2.

average fastest lap was about 1.5
no idea about mediums

Don't change the wear rate, honestly, I did 13 laps on SS with no major issues. 25% - 75% works well too (we did 20 laps, window 5-15).

I'd agree on bringing the Race 1 pit back though, it felt like somethng was missing...

Mid 1:01s ...

Lol I know, I made the wrong call :scared:
I think you miss understood my comment about pit window being EXACTLY in the middle. What I ment was same number of laps either side of the window!
For example in a 20 lap race a window of 6-14 or 7-13 or 8-12 if you get me?

problem with that is D2 drivers would never get through, and it would be annoying jumping from one to the other

yeah, deg could stay same if window was in the middle, as those BMW's were too damn good on the tyres

There is one thing I think is unfair, if I were to get pole in an FF car, that wouldnt matter if i had 3 RWDs behind as i would just fall down to 4th place.. What's the point in qualifying then?

High 1.02s on SM, low to mid 1.01s on SS.

Oh yeah that doesn't work, good point. Only other way to do it would be to run two completely seperate championships to the same rules.

I started on Mediums too, misjudged how 🤬 spongy they were and went off on turn 1. I did 7 on Mediums and 13 on Softs. Worn softs are faster than new Mediums in my experience so the game becomes minimising the pain of the slower tyre.

Like I say mate in a 20 lapper we had a window of 5-15, I stopped first on 7, last stop I think was on 11.

There's 2 RWD's available :D

There's pros and cons for each drive type, you just have to way them up.

And I seen a certain FF fly off the line today, cough @Ian_83 cough

that's always been a big problem, but unfortunately absolutely nothing we can do :(
