Of course you did. You seem to know everything anyways.

No I didn't

I actually am questioning your bias, also how do I know everything? Don't misquote me or make claims that are not true it's a bit stupid and against AUP since it's misleading and inaccurate. Also do my words resonate more so than @Zenith or @Famine that they some how are less of a "know it all"?

Yes, but these people here seem to think EVERY lottery winner is going to buy a Mustang.

Who said that? I even gave a list of cars...

I just said the Mustang tends to be a dream car of middle class workers and the lottery or retirement is the most likely way they'll get it especially upper trim.

Or you know, LMS, you could stop instigating with him.

Do you have an issue with me or something, I'm just discussing if you have a personal issue then we can take this to my profile wall. :)

Since I was part of the discussion I'm just clearing up his general or broad sweeping notions that aren't exactly true is all.

And my question is (and has always been from the start): How the hell does that make the car uncool?

Yes, cherry pick my post cause the prior bit doesn't have anything to do with it, that's sarcasm by the way.

Well it's uncool, because as Famine put it they're highly generic just like a base model Corvette and until recently even upper trim model Corvettes. The fact that a group of people have to work to their gray hair years to get such a car is quite sad and one that many other cars do a better job than it. Not to mention this is also the go to car of service members when they get past tech training from the actual military job.

In other words it's highly generic to the point it's almost as bland and boring as a Toyota Camary except the Camary has a much larger purpose and was never really meant to be cool. Hey but if that's cool to you by all means don't let my words trip you on the way to the dealership...oh wait

People would have to work to their gray hair years anyways, until they're of age that they can retire. And when you do retire you get a pension anyways.

Wat.

This car is anything but bland. You cannot compare it to a Carmry.

Both completely, seriously uncool cars.

Especially the SRT8, I mean even more so than the Mustang.

 Who sold you that trite? And the old person fairy showers you with gifts because of all those years of service you gave to the company of work. In other words things like pensions and social security aren't guaranteed...hence working long and hard to save up enough to afford such nice cars.

Also just because you have gray hairs in this day and age doesn't mean you're going to retire soon if ever, what do you think this is the 90s?

Well I just did...and your already established bias only further proves my point then it would otherwise.

This particular specific one? Maybe not if you were aware of what it was. To continue the analogy it would be a Camry with the Lexus LS460 engine installed and only a hood bulge to note the difference.

The pre-1970 Mustang in general, and this car by association? Absolutely. Though it would probably be more understandable to relate it to the Camry Solara instead.

And some people are so uncool that they don't have the slightest idea of what makes something cool.

Don't look at me, I'm certianly not dreaming up reasons why cool cars (Mustang, Camaro, Lamborghinis, etc.) are actually uncool and uncool cars (Miata, hybrids, any Fiat 500 ever) are actually cool.

Well, this Cool Wall is all about opinions. Opinions are subjective by nature. I may think the LFA is the best thing in the universe since water but you may not, these are opinions on the subject at hand (The LFA). I can't force my view on the subject upon you nor can you try and do the same upon me.

Most people seem to be unable to grasp this concept. The concept of coolness is a subjective one and like opinions, it may vary from individual to individual.

Where's my dislike button?

Who's the one who complained that cars are getting too big and too heavy nowadays? If you're going to apply your own rules of cool, at least apply them consistently. :D

The modern Camaro is a good driving car, but it's piggishly heavy, has no space, and its primary selling point is style rather than substance. It's a cartoon of a car, which is why sales always get a boost with each ludicrous iteration of Michael Bay's Transformers.

The modern Challenger is a boat. A big, heavy, piggish boat... whose only selling point is it looks sorta-like-an old Challenger. It's big, useless and... well... useless.

Of course, it's a gas to drive, but I would much rather have the 300C, which doesn't pander to nostalgia quite as much, has four doors to go with all that stupid weight, comes with the same lovely V8 motor, and is just as handy to drive.

But wait... gasp... I actually like a V8-powered American? Blimey...

I would like to point out that new 300Cs aren't V8s only. I believe that's an option.
I honestly would get the 300 out of the bunch however.

The V6 is top-notch, and it's a good handling car for what is basically a wannabe luxo-mobile. Only nit is there are too many speeds in the automatic... though you can manually shift your way around that... and it does occassionally chirp tires in traffic.

We don't get the diesel... UK reviewers don't seem to like it... but that motor is good in the Grand Cherokee, so I think it would do well here.

Still... if you're getting a 300C secondhand, the V8 is definitely the way to go.

Which, to be fair, does a fairly good job describing the original Challenger as well.

Don't care. I'd rather have a Barracuda. :D

Don't do it Sparky remember Trumpets of LFA week...

Which one...there are a couple 300s that have a V8 that are their on trim/model level and not just a singular option.

And now people know why I argue here, just want some consistency.
As @Slash found out, though I will say I should have voted the 250 lower since it's a museum piece as much as the Daytona Coupe.

All I'm aware of is that I watched a few reviews of 300Cs and they had been V6s which threw me off at first. I just figured that the V8s were some sort of option or trim level.

At least it's not the previous generation V6, which is the Benz 2.7 V6. If 8 speeds is too much for you, I'd hate for you to know that they're putting 9 speeds transmissions in their recent cars. But, the only time you're getting into those 3 last gears is when you're cruising on the highway going over the limit that is.

The US market doesn't get the diesel either if I remember. I'm probably am not going to get a 300C anytime soon, but if I were to choose any American car, I'd get the 300C regardless.

Well that's all Dodge/Chryslers though...Chargers, Challengers and as you've pointed out the 300. The 300 has the C and SRT8 which are V8s and then the V6 which is the S, Touring and something else. The car is available in RWD and AWD

All depends on the implementation. I have no trouble with CVTs, but the new multi-speed tranny just feels too busy, shuffling between gears when it's not needed. The transmission could actually skip shift between the gears with no issues. On a luxury car, acceleration should feel effortless, seamless. I guess it's something you get used to, but there's little benefit in swapping gears so often (CVTs are exempt... drive is always engaged, even when moving between ratios).

Apparently, the nine speed works well... right until you get to the point where it swaps final drives and does something weird and clunky. Most outlets paid no heed, but now that it's been out a while, the complaints are coming in.

Yes, unique paint and wheels, light grey leather with body-colour piping, "wood" (veneer) centre console and leather trimmed steering wheel.
I don't know if that  is -ing at me for taking an interest or -ing with me for getting it mostly correct.

I like the paint color. A lot. I recently checked out a book at the local library on Miatas (Because I still don't have the money to buy the one hfs wrote) and it had a section covering all the special editions. I was astounded at how many there were, the only memorable one was the one painted after the 787B.

PFFT. Bias.

*Proceeds to stare at more LFAs*
I know right? Some people.

*Searches the internet for Porsche 911 wallpapers*

Due to the last two or so pages of arguing, I think I'm going to eventually invent a time machine just so I can go back in time and change my vote to uncool.
