Totally understand Geezer Moments Pepper  - Will remove the Racing brakes and give it another go before posting my best run at that pup in this old hot rod. Did purdy good with the brakes yesterday but did not post the time. Lets see how it goes with the default brakes.. 👍👍

Using the default brakes actually was better I think :). Best lap in the Goat to date: 1:32.527 and I believe there's a better time out there. We're hav'n fun trying! 👍👍

Wednesday race meeting will be held at normal time UK, 09.30 EST. (daylight saving time applies).

1 Run Peugeot 205 GT at London, first race. Full tunes allowed free tyre choice. 15 laps.:):):)

2 Run vauxhall Calibra touring car at Madrid. Full tunes allowed free tyre choice 15 laps.:):):)

3 Honda Weider HSV at Midfield. Full tunes allowed free tyre choice 15 laps.:):):)

Sounds like an easy day, but will it rain???:nervous::nervous::nervous:

Be prepared is all i can say :eek::eek:

For the last week in this Mots TT we're going to use a much better car. The Corvette Stingray Convertible (C3) '69. Get the oil changed and you wind up with exactly 480PP 313 HP 1242 kg. Do all weight reductions. Upgrade the transmission to the adjustable one and set at 155 mph (250 kph). With some dedication, a gold trophy is waiting for you at 1:30. It's not got the top end, but traction is good (no squealing tires) higher turning speed as well as later brake points. P.Mallard

Hi Jota - I really didn't wait till the last minute, but I do have the time zone advantage, although you could wake up at 3 in the morning to see if you have to do more driving  (just kidding ). I still work every day and when I get home I eat, spend time with my wife, go to sleep on my recliner watching tv, wake up and go do some driving before going to bed around midnight. I don't think you or anyone else would appreciate anyone not trying. This is a friendly competition, and you have clearly been the fastest driver.

As far as selecting the cars, as PAPA pointed out it's not so easy to find a car that's fun to drive, faster than the previous week but not faster than the next week or the following week. This past one was even more difficult since there was a minimum PP level. Suggestions are welcome. P.M.

Here is my time with the VetteView attachment 527363
Nice one bud! Still outside that 1:30 (sitting at 1:30.40 now) but when I bust the GOLD will post. Good job all you GEEZERS who have "earned" Gold in this one with the GEEZER hotrods and GOOD JOB Pepper picking up where Papa left off the task of picking the GZR hotrods 👍👍.

RE the Horse power on this one, after preparing the car per Peppers notes my Vette ends up at 313hp,, he mentions the car would/could/should be at 413hp,, was that a typo or is everyone at 413? I've seen this before where the specs of a stock, or default car numbers weren't the same so just wondering. 313hp will get 'er dun so it' not a big deal either way.. Anyway, good job boyz,, 'ol daduce is still in tha hunt!!

Edit - last eve got a 1:30.21,, still in tha hunt!:nervous: 👍

313 hp is correct mate.
It is not the easiest challenge to say the least, but it would be rubbish if it was to easy.👍👍👍

Hi Mallard - I was kidding  I like to win but I don´t mind to loose when the opponents are better and your performance in this TT is brillant and thank you for the hard work picking cars with growing PPs.
NOTE: I am going change the PS3 for my badroom:cheers:

Evening Geezers i will not be opening a room for GT6 tomorrow.
I will however be opening a room at the usual time for Grid Autosport as so many people have asked for it.
If anyone want's a room open on Wednesday let me know and i will oblige.

Stewy
Grid Autosport is a hoot! Not on the same level as GT6, but not too far from it. The few times we've had 5 / 6 players there were ZERO discon's. Takes a lot of help from our buddies who have had the game for a bit longer (Stewy, Zona99, Loinel) to get it figured out but it's really alot of fun. If you geezers haven't got it yet check with Amazon / eBay,, prices are very reasonable and if you're wondering if using the DFGT works with this game, it does.

As Duce said it's a fun game, lots of tracks to learn, and I haven't invested the time required yet. I am curious as to why it seems to be so difficult to join a room. I logged in to the PS network while Stewy and others were on line and just waited to see if Stewy would send an invite. My Grid program was closed at the time. As soon as I got the invite, I clicked join and the program opened then said the room was full or no longer existed. I then waited for another invite that came a minute later, clicked join - got the same message. Another invite resulted in the same. May not get disconnected, but that's meaningless if you can't get connected! Would love to know if I am doing something wrong or what?

Jota - When you say you're going to change the PS3, does that mean you're getting a PS4?

Sorry you couldn't join us, @nordschleife51 had the same problem, he restarted then it worked for him.
Will be on again tomorrow, i have asked everyone who wants to join to send message saying ready in the top line. invites will be sent after race completion. just log into the game so your ready for invite.
Invites don't last long before they expire.

I have ordered Grid Autosport. I don't have it yet , but I'd like to have some info about the game and on-line .
I have made account for me in Codemaster Racenet. :gtplanet::confused::confused::gtpflag:But what's after that?:nervous:

When you get the game log into the game and you have a choice of career mode or online mode or race net challenge.
career mode speaks for it's self, online mode you can open a private room or join an existing room.
race net challenge is like time trials in seasonal events except there are six and they only last 1 week. there is a lot of variety in the challenges and some really are not easy.
I have a room open nearly everyday so join us when you can and i will explain in more detail for you.
When you have the game and see me online log into it and i will send you invite to join my room.

Hi Mots, there's so much to tell. You can take a look at the videos on YouTube (that's what I did to get an idea) or perhaps IF your game hasn't arrived to you join us in GT6 as early as you can - preferably BEFORE the races start - for the Stewy races this Wednesday. Even if you can't run the races Stewy can explain a few of the basics to get you going, then join us for the GRID racing and start building your race cars. There's quite a few of we GEEZERS meeting up in GRID most week days and weekends to race and build our cars. Since it appears PD aren't going to do much with their servers we just go to GRID and enjoy seamless and NO DISCONNECTS racing fun. Haven't checked this morning (PST) to see if RaceNet is back in working order but until they are the only way to earn upgrades is in a n online race room. Once racenet is back up I understand we can earn credits running their online events.

Buy the "Boost" DLC $2.99 it's like being logged in to GT, gives a 50% bonus for earnings.
Buy a Touring Car, Cruz is recommended, then you are able to build it up. If you don't buy a car you are always using a "loaner" and not accumulating points for car improvements. I'm a newby too, but this is basic. Enjoy.

MOTS TT week 1 in the 700pp race car trial. Get a Renault Gordini '66, do an OIL CHANGE, and you're good to go. It will have 350PP, with 150HP and 850kg.

With an oil change only - my little Gordini is at 350pp but has ony 106hp, not 150. Are we supposed to do any of the engine upgrades or?
