(Thanks to @JDM SRE70 for the banner)

DATE OF TOURNAMENT: 11-13th of July (Friday + Saturday + Sunday)

Unfortunately life has gotten in the way of me hosting this tournament (Thanks for the workload University), but alas my exams are happening (I'll finish on the 21st) and it's time for me to fire up the H2H again. Time for you drifting shenanigans whether it be veterans of the forum or newcomers alike to come out and make your mark in drifting community and let your drifting do the talking. @JDM_Tuning_S3OZ , @SLaBaTaC and @TH137Z took out 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the first H2H. Now it's time to see if these guys can hold their spots up and if other contestants can shake up the leaderboard.

First and foremost I have to address that there could be the possibility of contestants using hybrids in this tournament, you guys need to vote whether you want these cars competing - So vote in the poll above

Once again, no qualifying runs will occur, first come first serve. Brackets are going to be filled with 16 individuals, if there are enough numbers after the initial 16 has registered then depending on the numbers there will be either a bracket of 8 or 16.

Also, I must apologise to my international peoples out there, but again I have to restrict this to my region due to timezone differences and for the fact that you guys got FDC, XDC and some other tournaments hosted at the moment off the top of my head and you guys got a good schedule coming up.(Sorry if I forgot anymore tournaments) My priority is to have people compete from my region compete due to the lack of tournaments being hosted for this region (Props to @ReDMySTiC for hosting Missile Matsuri during H2H's hiatus)

Another point, due to the amount of contestants that couldn't make it within the first round, I'm going to sign myself up into this tournament for some classic fun only IF a person can't make their time against another opponent.

Finally, I'm going to schedule this tournament to be done over 3 days on a weekend, so if you can't make the date (TBA) then you're out of luck.

Good luck to those who sign up and let's have an awesome time seeing some spectacular drifting  #KDF

Here's the lowdown of the tournament:

    Car regulations:
    • 700HP limit
    • NOS allowed (400HP limit using NOS)
Contestants voted for this last tournament so we're allowing NOS
    • No weight limit
    • No PP limit
    • Race/Concept Cars not allowed
    • Comfort Hard Tyres only
    • FR/MR/RR Cars only
    • Use of hybrids - PENDING
Formula D Judging Style will be used as opposed to GTPDC, you can read more of these rules here

    Main Rules/Queries:
    • Drivers are shared out 10 points at the start of each run.
    • A judge will award these points at the end of each run.
    • After both runs the driver with the highest combined score moves on.
    • Scores will be decided and told after each run
    • Should each driver end on 10 after the two runs, a "one more time" is called. Each driver will lead a run, same rules apply as a normal run.
    • Overtaking, whilst legal is discouraged. A driver who overtakes his opponent will not be guaranteed a 10-0 run
    • Contact that causes a driver to crash, spin, lose his line or suddenly gain speed will also hand a 10-0 score to the other driver. Contact is blamed on the following driver.
    • While contact is blamed on the following driver, should the leader deliberately "brake check" or brake unexpectedly during a drift causing his opponent to crash, spin, lose his line or suddenly lose speed, his opponent will get the 10-0 score
    • Up to 3 wheels may leave the track at any given time, without penalty
    • Rumble strips are counted as part of the track.
Once again most runs will be judged by me but I am happy to have some assistance as long as you have necessary qualifications to judge and have judged before in GTP events. (and no, judging some drift competition in a public server doesn't count) I also need assistance in judging in case someone drops out and I must replace that slot.

    Operation of lobby:

    Lobby setup:
    • Drift Trial Lobby
    • Grip Reduction set to Real
    • No driving aids except ABS
    • Tyre/Fuel Depletion ON: (Pitstops allowed in between runs if required)
I shall open a lobby aprroximately 35 minutes before a run between two participants have been scheduled. I will type and sign out a 5 minute time frame where spectators must leave the track, failing to co-operate with this rule will give you a DNF and your competitor will win by default. One expectation I have of the competitors is to be time punctual to your scheduled time and competition. Also, not turning up to the scheduled time given and or negotiated by me will also signal you for a DNF.

Once all participants are off track, I will start the race and the scheduled contestants shall enter the track. Anyone who is not allowed to enter the track and does break this rule will force me to kick the offender from the server along with fractioning you with a DNF.

Schedule: Event is going to be held over one weekend on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday (11,12th,13th of July) and the times posted will be in AEST, I intend to open lobbies at roughly 5:30PM AEST.

THE TRACK: Twin Ring Motegi East Short Course
    • Black line - Start line and roll up to 130 km/h
    • Green line - Start of drift section (Initiate between 100m and 50m sign)
    • Yellow dots - Clipping points - Will be more refined in line video
    • Red line - End of section
This is the most accurate sketch I could get of the section, clipping points were put on as accurately as possible but may come out differently in the line video.

I would love to, but I have time constraints because I can only run the tournament at a particular time while I'm free on the weekend, plus you guys already got a bunch of tournaments up and running and would prefer not to impede on their schedules respectively.

Maybe one day though but unfortunately the last times this was hosted on GT5 and people worldwide were allowed to compete - a lot of running around and screw up of times due to the timezone.

Also, I don't see a problem with hybrids providing they don't have front downforce.

Just saying my R33 is actually slower than my Z33 I used in H2H1.
    Plus it weighs 1,500kg's @ 650hp

No love for hybrids here like in FDC :(

Edit: if hybrids aren't allowed, I won't be competing.

The date is TBA but it's going to be early July I assume.

My priority is to give out spots to people from my region first, if there are spare spots (which I doubt) or a drop out in the first round then you guys can fill in.

Just have to wait and see what happens to be honest.

Also, is there going to be set amount of Judges?

Like 3 or 2 Per each battle? I understand you want to eliminate any kind of speculation when it comes to team bias or anything like that. But i think it's also hard for a Judge to supervise all criteria to be met by the competitors during their run.

I.E Speed Matches, Braking, Speed, Accel. It's not like we have instant replays or replay reviews or anything of that nature.

I would love to sign up, but keep me as a reserve until you release the dates, i have a lot of work placement and stuff coming up, so i'm still not certain i'll be free!
    ENTRY FORM:
    Name: JDM_Tuning_FA20
    Country: Australia
Comp Car: TBD (Looks like i'm gonna be on GT6 making a comp car... time to give rFactor a rest XD)
NOS: Nope, i aint about dat lyf yo
    Team: teamJDMT

Also, i would shy away from hybrids at least until they're available to everyone...
As it stands, it's only available to those with either a Jailbroken PS3 or to those who want to pay someone else to make them.. As slow/low powered as they are, it should still be considered an unfair advantage due to free choice of engine & chassis... Everyone without hybrids has large Engine & Chassis limitations compared to those who do..
