GTP Lite vs. default style

Which skin do you guys prefer for the forum ? I use GTP Lite . Looks very neat

I prefer the default, although what I would REALLY like is for the preference to be stored in your machine's cookies, so that you could access different styles on different machines. This would help me enormously when I visit using my PDA/mobile.

I use Default, even though I'm on 56k. I couldn't detect a great difference in page-loading times with Lite.

You can't beat the refreshing taste of Default GTP!

Default for me as well. 56k user also, never noticed a difference between the two styles.

My account won't stay logged in unless I use GTP LIte. The default style logs me out between every page. GTP Lite only logs me out if I take too long between pages.

Default. Heck, my line maxes out at 26.4k, but I still use Default... once the pics are cached, there's absolutely no difference between it and GTP Lite. Jordan did an excellent job with the Default scheme, and it would seem such a waste to not use it.

i use gt lite as well

its got the user cp up the top

The Flash movie in the header might cause problems for some users. Also, judging from Duke's problem, it seems that the cookies handling might be different, though I have no clue exactly what the problem is...

I was going to make a topic like this, but i thought i'd search. What are people using now? The last post in here was some while back now....

Oh and i use Lite. I used to use the original, until one day i tried out lite, and decided to keep it for a week wether i liked it or not. I've never gone back

I had a look at the default the other day, and i can't believe the difference. I'm hooked on lite now.

I have mine set for lite and I prefer it, but for some reason it won't stay in lite. Half the time it lgs into lite the other half in default. I really can't notice it unless I'm trying to see someone's post count.

Despite what I posted almost 2 1/2 years ago, I've been using GTP Lite for about 1 year now.

My gripe with GTP Default: The ads are obnoxious. I don't like the look of the member names and info centered on the left side, and the format of the post on the right. It just looks "uneven".

The only drawback with GTP Lite is that large-width posts (due to a large image or a long string of text unbroken by spaces) cram the corresponding member info into a little box.

If you have a very old PC, GTP lite is really useful. Anyway, even the with cheapest new PC you won't notice much difference...

Lite for sure. I have used lite for almost the entire 2 years I have been here. I am soooo used to it. I like it a lot.
