What makes this game even more weird is that Ryo uses his Evo X for Drift events.
There's the drift Evo X which defies the game itself, and he apparently has a wheelie-capable X as well somehow.

Does anyone have a setup for Supra, Z, or 240? I cannot seem to make changes that are genuinely noticeable.

He has two variations of his Evo. The Drag/Speed variant has a drag spoiler and drag rims while the Drift/Grip variant has the usual spoiler and BBS RK rims plus that variant is the one you acquire when you beat Ryo.

I remember that. I just find it BS that he has an AWD drift car and two drag cars that somehow work differently. I've never seen an AWD car wheelie.....purposely anyway.

Wouldn't happen to have a drift setup, would you?

I'm sorry. It's been a long time since I played Prostreet. Besides I only used Aki Kimura's RX7 for Drift events. As for Grip events, I only used a fully upgraded Evo X.

Hey @BKGlover , are you done with the game now?

Tried playing it today...it may be that I'm charcoal-levels of burnt-out, but I can barely look at the damn game right now. I hate failing but it seems to be the only thing I'm worth a damn at. I'm done with this project, as of now I don't have the ability or know-how to beat Ryo. Sorry to *sigh* ONCE AGAIN fail a project and disappoint the world. Anyone else want's to try this, be better than me by a lot, have a following so more than five people participate, and don't play ProStreet.

Requesting that the thread be closed.

Hey. Do you need some help with ProStreet? I'm currently at Super Promotion races and these are my main cars:

Grip: Nissan GTR
Drift: Nissan 240SX
Drag: Toyota Supra (Wheelie Event) and Pontiac GTO '06 (Normal drag events)
Speed: Nissan GTR Proto

Backup cars:
Porsche Cayman S (Grip)
Volkswagen Golf GTI (Grip)
Dodge Viper SRT10 (Drift)
BMW M3 E46 (Drift)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX (Grip)

Note that I'm not yet within the Kings but I already unlocked GEffect, Noise Bomb, Nitrocide, and Rogue Speed races.

Are you still playing the game?

No. I figured out that the one time I beat Ryu it was a fluke accident. I'm not good enough to beat him.
How did it become an accident?

I will come back to you once I'm now facing Ryo. If the Evo IX fails to beat Ryo then time to use one of my free car markers for either a Zonda or Murcielago.

Man that Nate Denver boss race day......even when I'm driving a Audi S3 (of all cars), I still beat him. Note that the S3 has a mix of Stage 2 and 3 parts equipped and I still managed to beat him.

I was disappointed by that. When I check out his GTO, I was even more disappointed because his GTO has more HP than my S3.

Word of advice to everyone who will be facing Nate Denver: Never use a fast car against him.

Also I disliked the Karol Monroe event and her Mustang. Really? A Drag King with a car only pushing 550hp? Craig Wright (GTO) or Frank Book (Challenger) could have been a better Drag King than Karol Monroe. Or better yet, it could have been Paul Trask (Skyline R34) of Apex Glide.

By the way, can we just rename this thread to something similar to @Sonygamer455 's thread. At least here we can discuss about NFS Prostreet.

Actually these teammates should have been Kings at the first place.

Grip King- Rudy Chen (911 Turbo), Gavin May (Escort), or Ivan Tarvhosky (Evo IX)
Drag King- Frank Book (Challenger), or Craig Wright ('06 GTO)
Drift King- Tony Manilla ('69 Camaro), Yoshi Suzuki (Corolla Sprinter AE86), or Takeshi Sato (Silvia S15 Spec R)
Speed King- Paul Trask (Skyline GTR R34)

Guess what, I had to deal with another bad King. Ray Krieger and his M3 E92. I felt so bad that even when I'm using a Stage 2 to 3 Focus he still loses. I became so mad to the point where I just totaled his car to end his misery.

Well the last king left I need to beat is Ryo and here is my roster:

Grip- Pagani Zonda F or Nissan GTR
Drift- Aki Kimura's RX7 or Pontiac GTO '06
Drag- Toyota Supra
Speed- Nissan GTR Proto or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX

By the way, I gotta love the commentators commenting on wrecking on your car. The most hilarious one would have to be the Pagani Zonda. They will say like this:

Super Promotion/Nitrocide/Rogue Speed commentator- "He *chuckles* he did not destroy that Pagani Zonda. You know that means that there's only 24 left in the world. 24." or "So come on people, let us reflect ourselves on what Ryan Cooper wreck is a beautifully made Pagani Zonda. *sobs* I know."

How about just rename it just like Sonygamers thread?

How do you fully turn off the driving aids? I have the game set to king mode and manually turned off all the aids in the options menu, but I still find the TCS stability management and abs light flash when I get into a situation where the car would lock up or slide

I think the lights are just flashing without the assists doing anything.

People are still around. I've been thinking about this again, haven't touched it since I put my ps3 on HDMI, but I'm here for some things.
I'm on pc but I'd rip it with at least some of the people here if they wanted to

I never understood the hate Prostreet got when it released. It wasn't the best, and it started the fall of NFS, but it did some interesting things to break the mold.
It's not amazing but it has a decent car list and physics, and it's actually kind of hard to make money (though the kings are a ****ing joke) and the drifting is fun. Overall 7/10 for me so far.

It did, but there were no cops, no free roam, and the direct recycling from Most Wanted and Carbon was obvious.

Personally, I think Most Wanted started the fall but I'm an idiot so yeah...

Well, it's "pro" street, so no more street racing. Also did I singlehandedly revive this damn thread after a 6 month hiatus?

I thought Undercover had the better car list, by like miles.

In fact, the car list in Undercover is one of the couple of saving graces that game had.

I'd say it's the only one, and I didn't even see it all because the cars drove like lead weights, the AI was abysmal, and the story was some half-baked bull:censored: cop-drama reject with sooo much cliché it's sickening.

I prefer the drag racing, but I concur. Money starts coming easier if you re-run old events, of course I'm a cheap bastard so money is rarely an issue when I play, it's a lack of talent and ability.

I've been wanting to start playing this again since I found the soundtrack on Spotify which I think is one of the better soundtracks NFS has had.

Prostreet is still my 2nd favorite NFS game of all time. Right behind NFSU2. I never had trouble making money until I got to the very end when I needed upgrades and had spent too much on too many different cars. One thing I wish they did better with is allow you to sell cars for a realistic market value.

But as far as the physics, it's probably the most realistic of any NFS game without going overboard and feeling like a sim. The customization is at the apex of what can be achieved. The car list kind of sucked when it came to supercars, but you can still go online (PC version) and obtain the necessary patches/cheats/files to unlock the complete list. The game also had a completely fresh take on the genre.

Of all the NFS remakes I wish they would go back to the Prostreet formula.
