Well,I have booked my race and looking forward to getting it going.Funny thing,"IF" I win,I will be facing GTP_Wayne,he took out my fellow Div 4 member.:nervous::)
 
I'm still waiting for GTP_Fuzzy to replie, hasn't been online for more than 1 week now.
 
Basically, I've been placed up against opponents which are in different time zones, and it's really hard to contact well. After 2 days of PM'ing, we still have never even been online at the same time, and still haven't even worked out a time which we are both on, and are available to race. I personally don't think we can both work out a time by tomorrow, and since tomorrow is the final deciding day to contact a race Steward. I don't know whether we can make it or not.

Actually no, disregard my post. I read the rest of the thread, and my question was pretty much answered, so we might just be out, I dunno.

GTP_Diverman v GTP_turbolag



GTP_Diverman has withdrawn from the event due to real life commitments.

Therefore GTP_turbolag has progressed to the next round. 👍

Congratulations KARTRACER! If nothing else, I'm now wanting to play online more using TS with the other GTP'ers. Sorry for not giving you a stronger run tonight. I PM'd Sphinx with the results. But, this post is sort of self evident. Good luck on the next event! Also, thank you Vaxen for being our steward tonight. Thanks for your patience also.

I hope Fuzzy replies very soon, so you can do your races. It will be a very close battle as you are both in division 2 gold. Would like to be there as a spectator :).
Also because I have to race one of you guys in round 2 and I'm in div 2 gold aswell, so should be close too.

Okay sorry guys if I seem blunt :S, I did the F430 Qualifer which put me in the board. But I didnt do the Stage 1 Corvette Race, Will i be entitled to take part in the F40 Race? Agaian sorry i've been very behind on whats been going on lately

is there a posibility that some of the race can be recorded, so that we can watch them. that would be great.

No, you won't be able to take part in the F40 race, because the stage 1 corvette race was the only was to qualify for stage 2.
You'll have to wait till the next GTP event to take part. 👍

Thanks Kart Racer. Like you mentioned, using Teamspeak sort of makes it a new game all the sudden. I enjoyed being able to chat while we turned the laps and joked about the lapped cars. I totally flubbed the details on this event. SOCOM might well be to blame but I normally get details right in spite of distractions. Still, no excuse. By the way, running S3's was fun even though my setup was horrible, lol. It did make the car a lot of fun to drive. I'll be sure and get online and on TS one of these Saturday nights and join in the mayhem with you and others from here. I think that's what I would enjoy the most - just hanging out, turning some intense laps, and laughing at myself. Good luck with the next event!
 
Well, as feared we have lost our Suz Ferrari event and there doesn't seem to be a replacement World Event in Pro physics. Will await the decision from Sphinx as to how we want to proceed here. Thanks!

They are certainly making it hard for us, but this what we will do:


GTP_Manuelos v GTP_Fuzzy are both PAL and therefore can run their assigned race in the No Mercy Match.


GTP_SeniorL8R v GTP_J-PaP have no other option (PAL v NTSC issues) other than to run the Intermediate World Event at London. They can discuss between themselves which car they want to use, but they both have to use the same car.

We need to get this under way. The deadline for this round is looming.


Regarding round two, I will post again later today to clarify what we will be doing.
 
Was pretty unlucky I finally got in contact with gtp_seniorl8r today and we just had organised to have our race when we both came online and realised the events have changed. I was sure the events were due to change tomorrow.

We did do some practice races for fun on there to see what it is like. From how the races went and big troubles due to traffic. What I am proposing for our race is rather than start with the 40 second delay (due to the short laps of the track, that it is a rolling start and that it is only 3 laps long) that both gtp_seniorl8r and I run at a lower pp than the rest of the field (1pp difference to split myself and sxboyd first and second on the grid). We were both definitely faster than the rest of the field. So we should be able to run traffic free and give us the most equal chance in the race.

As long as you both are in agreement, then do whatever it takes to complete this round.

Sphinx asked me to handle the details with the next round of races in this event.

The latest update threw a monkey wrench in the works in that we lost an international professional event. Our goal is to get as many races running at Suzuka in the F40 as possible. We will also adjust the allowable PP downward in order to help ensure that the race stewards can keep pace.

Of the players remaining in the competition, records show that the following players have copies for multiple versions of the game:

GTP_LinPark (NTSC/PAL)
GTP_SeniorL8R (NTSC/JPN)

If there are any other qualifiers who have access to multiple copies of the game, please post here or send me a PM.

Of the current matchups, the following are not able to race at Suzuka:
Round 1:
GTP_SeniorL8R (NTSC/JPN) v GTP_J-PaP (PAL)

Round 2:
GTP_KARTRACER (NTSC) v GTP_Wayne (PAL)
we also have:
GTP_LinPark (NTSC/PAL) v GTP_2Fast4Stig (PAL)

Unless there are more qualifiers who can run in multiple zones, we'll make the following adjustments:

Round 1:
GTP_SeniorL8R (NTSC/JPN) v GTP_J-PaP (PAL) -- run at London using an agreed upon car and PP

Round 2:
GTP_Wayne (PAL) v GTP_2Fast4Stig (PAL) - F40 Suzuka (No Mercy)
GTP_KARTRACER (NTSC) v GTP_LinPark (NTSC/PAL) - F40 Suzuka (No Mercy)

Furthermore, all F40 races at Suzuka will be run at 625pp. (I will test this out tonight to make sure tunes are reasonable.)

First post will be updated to reflect this information. I'll also send a PM to the qualifiers directly affected.

So I have just tried the F40 at Suz with S2's & it's just "Unraceable" even with 625 pp or 600 pp.

The S tyres don't match with this kind of car. for the previous round I checked the S3 and it was just limit.
If it was for a TT, this would be ok, but for racing.... you will more feel like ice skating than car racing.
IMO, you can't properly race when you can't control your car. this car was perfect with R1's, it's a nightmare with S2's

Why not doing the ferrari event at Fuji F 650 PP 👍

The F430 and Cali run just as good @ Fuji, I would think the F40 will be no different.

Not that I am participating, just thought I would share my testing there earlier. 👍

The goal is to do our best to carry out this event with as little impact on the participants and their preparation up to this point as possible. 👍
