Managed to improve in the early sectors only to lose the bloody lot further on, but improved my PB at the line by a huge .001. :lol:

I've now given up pushing hard for good ealry splits, instead I'm just going with the flow looking for clean laps and just see what happens.

Guy's please help, im a bit confused! This is my first WRS event. When i submit my time do i log my split times or overall time? Sorry for being dumb, any help would be appreciated....:)

This was with mike_gt3's tune, which was nice:tup:, but took me a while to get used to, vs Kevin's tune. Both have their merits. :cheers:

To post the splits for the leaderboard, you post the first 9 splits you can see while watching your ghost replay file, go in the live timing tab, (bottom left) you will see the plits appear while watching the replay.

Just post the 9 splits like you see in these post here, the fetchbot will update the leaderboard using them.

When you are ready to post your final time, you send a PM to fetchbot, all info about this can be found here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=180298

GAH! I just spent all night attacking this thing without getting a single green lap (well, one worth submitting anyways...)

And it's not even that I don't know these corners, I just can't hold my composure for a full 8 minute lap. My mind will drift to the most menial thing in the last 2 or 3 sections, and you know the rest...

A better run last night. Still studying some turns I'm loosing exit speed on. Just not that familiar with the DP section-at least it's at the start.

Blowing 4:46.5s, 6s and 7s like they're going out of fashion. Best lap to date, but way off the ultimate pace if I can actually put a good lap together. Might end up throwing in the towel at this rate, it's making me so angry! :|

This might be it for me! Not sure I have the nerve to chase this down. I only made minor mistakes here and there - the only one that really hurt was the hairpin in T8 - I lost a bit there by not getting my position right so I didn't exit well enough :ouch:

Overall though, quite happy - faster than I thought I would go this week.

First lap last night was my quickest so far and it was clean. Today, all dirty. A few faster times even with trips in the grass/gravel, frustration level has risen :irked:

But, I do like this car 👍

I have almost 300 miles on the car with two clean laps.

I can find time I know it I just need to keep it clean.

May have some time in the morning to put some laps in but well see.

Is grey mesh beyond rumble strips in the Nordschleife section considered track? Cause I know in the GP section it's strictly prohibited...
 
Check the first post and you'll find they are legal, in the Nordschleife section (since they are hard surface).

EDIT: Nice jumps on the LB, Matt and Ren!

Put in a quick hour and a half session today and submitted my time, it was more conservative than i would have liked but i didnt want to take too many risks in my first WRS, especially when the GP section was driving me up the wall.

I was meaning to see what this combo was all week.
Very busy day for me tomorrow now. :) A whole weeks worth of driving crammed into one day.
 
Stone sober on a Sat night, and the best I could do is 0.1 better than my ghost, before the back straight. Then crashed. The main problem is I can't reproduce my previous T4 (first sector in Nord). Still learned some, and I think I'll go back to Kev's tune for my last session tomorrow.

Wish you luck with the heat, Jon, sounds like it might feel like a real race car environs! :lol:

Long time, no see, Dom. 👍 It's a wee bit faster than your 400pp's. :D
 
Had an other session yesterday, only 1 hour, first one with changed gears (current splits are with standard gears). Was 3 seconds up at T9 and over 4 seconds later on in the lap, but then lost it just before the long back straight :banghead:.

So no new splits for me yet, should have time to improve before the deadline though :)
