It's no wonder we're all so close is it Kev? After all, I think half the field is using your set-up...

You peak at 25, your over the hill at 40 and at 73 you drive on instincts! But you still get the rush!! :ouch::dopey:

Hey Jack, your a poet and don't know it.

I have a feeling you'll catch and pass me by the end of the week. You usually do.

I dont know, we will see I guess. Still need a clean lap and it has to be much much quicker than anything Ive done clean or dirty.

I will just keep trying and keep looking for a way better tune.:)

I always do better in the bottom sectors, whats the secret to the top 3 sectors, any suggestions?

Thanks for the tune Kevin! You are awesome!

The problem with getting old is that the quick reflexes you need to play this game goes right out of the window. :yuck: So yes, I'm now struggling to keep up with the pace of this car. I'll be pleased if I just manage to chip away one more second from this great combo.

Have you done the licensce test for sector 1 of the Nurburgring GP track?

Look in the archives for the Nurburgring GP/D week and find a replay is another suggestion altho it wont help you with sector three it will for 1 and 2.👍

T1: 35.594
T2: 23.726
T3: 19.531
T4: 42.207
T5: 31.771
T6: 26.968
T7: 47.125
T8: 36.459
T9: 25.761

Its clean it matches my previous quickest lap that is dirty almost excactly to T9 but is 2 seconds lower at the line.

Use EDK's tune. His gears will help you.

Cross the start/finish at 137-138mph. Hard brake while downshifting all the way to 1st gear for the first hairpin. Crank wheel more than 180deg. Get back on the gas way sooner than you think you can.

This corner is fairly simple but it's almost a template for the rest of the corners on the GP/D course.
Once you learn how early you can put the power down, they all become "brake w/ quick downshifts/crank wheel/early power-on".
Repeat this one until you're beating your ghost, and the rest of them will fall in line soon enough.
I'm using 1st gear for turn 1, turn 3, turn 5 (all tight hairpins), and then again for the 2 turns around the entrance to the Nord (before and after the blue wall).
If you can get that first sector under 36sec, then you are doing something right.

Watch this guy, I think he usually knows what he's doing. You really can learn a lot from replays. 👍

Good luck everyone. I learned quite a bit today, just couldn't execute the full meal deal.

Those appear to be some smokin' splits, Jack, but I'll wait for Fetchy to add-it-up for me. 👍

Nice lap Mohit - not sure I'm going to be able to catch you to T9. Will have to keep my fingers crossed for the 'back 9'

Thanks, but yeah ~10 km aren't covered in the splits, so pretty much anything can happen. The bit between the two karousels is so demanding, one corner after another after another.

Really nice splits Mohit 👍 Ring expert?

Struggling like all, lots of red laps and crazy accidents :ouch:, and the adrenaline on the last sectors on a good lap don´t think have a medical aproval :scared:

How about that for close! :scared:

My heart was in my mouth when watching the replay! Didn't think I got that close!

Mid lap going up the hill before the Bergwerk

Coming of the Karussell and going up the hill, I shouldnt even be on that side of the track!

:scared:, but 👍, James! Nice work with all the red sectors on the leaderboard, and being quite a bit ahead of all but Ron, who's right on your tail!

And Blair! 7 of 9 brown sectors, with the other 2 owned by Ren, only a couple tenths off on those, you are. 👍 Div 2 territory, for sure.

Nice lead in D2 as well, Mohit and Joao! I won't catch you guys, most likely, but 99% sure I'll be well beyond 1000miles at the end. 770 so far.

Oh, and Kev with a red sector as well. 👍 I'm going all cross-eyed staring at the leaderboard this week. :dunce:

Back to this'un tonight for me. Is Kev's original setup still the one to use? Gonna need the best tools to get anywhere near the thick end of D2 :D

Yes, Matt. Pretty sure Kev sync'd up the 2 different posts he had. I think the latest was here.

Take it easy out there. :sly:

Argh, the maintanance is going.. Can't see if the car is on the OCD?? Don't seem to have it :(

Ok, feel like a noob but how do you see the splits? :P Tried the data logger but couldn't see any way there.. (drove another car as I need to learn the 1st part of the track)

You are a noob. ;)

Go into the Live Timing Monitor. (One of the options at the bottom left of the replay screen HUD). Each split is highlighted in white as you pass the T split markers. 3 splits show at a time, and you can scroll them by "clicking" the arrows on either side of them at the top of the screen.
