@Argon I wish. I am only going 20 mph. Its worse now lol and i am about to go tackle a rural country road. Apparently the highway graders got the night off

Well take it easy Brandon, alien or not (and I'm not convinced by your weak rebuttle :p) we'd hate for you to have an off-road experience.

Stay safe Brandon - weather got crazy here this morning (MI) took me an hour to do the 11 miles to work. Not that cold, just a lot of snow falling.
 
Thanks guys. I'm out of the snow and back in Lexington Kentucky right now. It was terrible on the way up. From the Ohio/Kentucky state line up to about 65 miles NE of Dayton, it was pure havoc. 2-3 inches on the interstate and back roads.

I can only imagine how bad it was further north @Carlos Fandango, this trip is normally 9 hours and I left out last night at 10 pm Eastern with about 110 miles still to drive. It's a shame I have to spend my wife's birthday asleep all day.
 
Hello people of WRS, long time no see... I have sent EDK a personal message but with GTP_WRS beeing a community first and before all, I realised that this needed to be put here.


My name is Jevrem, I used to be Energizer and Fobia on GTPlanet, GTP_Energizer and GTP_twitchy in WRS. I have made myself to be quite a touchy subject round here mainly because of my attitude and actions.

I cheated in the WRS and I was a very arrogant guy, I wanted all and now without actually working for it, in the end I paid the ultimate price, I lost something which I enjoyed very much - this community here.


I will begin by saying I was young (17 years old). It all began from my narcissistic personna and with me beeing a kid who's been growing up without guidance. I was getting into all kinds of problems in my teen years since my mother nor anyone couldn't cope with me (I was that bad).

I entered the WRS because I liked it, did the qualifier, got D2 Silver, got my wheel shortly afterwards, set up my racing rig and started racing.
After a week of wheel use I made my debut in Week 36 and I did pretty well. I have realised that I might have potential, and with me always looking up to the guys on the top (mainly D1G guys) I always wanted more.

I did relatively well (handicap wise) in weeks 36, 42, 46 and 48 with one major fail in the week 47.

In the end I missed out on a promotion by 0.005 and was very dissapointed. I have expressed my dissapointment in the New Drivers and Promotions thread (no profanities used) and then a mod (Hydro) deleted my post and warned me. Seeing that as a direct violation of my freedom of speech, and beeing an immature brat I was, I sent him a really nasty PM and got banned instantly.


A few months later I rejoined GTPlanet, this time with a new GTP_ID and this is where the real drama begins.
It all began with my fustration on the qualifier and that resulted in me lying about the times I had achieved (subtracted 2 seconds from my time).
In the end I was ranked Div 1 Gold (subpar) without me actually belonging there. So there I was, schocked but I quickly realised the fact that this was my Catch 22 (if I admitted to faking my times I'd be expelled and if I drove normally everyone'd know), so I did the worst possible thing and cheated.
I resorted to cheating on Weekly Race Combos: 59, 61 and 64.

I was then found out and banished.



It has been 2 years since that and I can now say that I'm a changed man. I know that I owe you people an apology.


I give you my wholehearted apology and I beg for your forgiveness, I know what I did and I'm aware of the severity of my actions but at least I can man up and write this before you all.
This in no possible way is a justification, I'm just speaking/typing from my heart here.

All I can say is that I'm a man, I have made mistakes (in real life, some are much, much, much bigger than this here) but I have seen them I did/am doing my best to fix them. I can offer everyone a promise that those things will never happen again.

As I have said, I was a troubled kid but I made it to the right path in the end (not the end, I'm still young, life's ahead of me), please asknowledge this message and give me a second chance.


I will do my best not to disapoint!

Hey Jevrem, thanks for being honest about what happened, that's definitely not easy to do. I'm glad to hear that things are going better for you now.

I don't know if you'll get back into the WRS or not, there may be some hard feelings, but I wish you the best.

@ Jevrem :I must say I have respect for you, being open and honest now about the whole matter (altough I am not aware of what happened earlier) 👍

Just like Baron I have no clue if you would be accepted again, but being so honest, I would say you deserve a second chance. Combine this with the friendly admins of the WRS and maybe you will be a running with us shortly.

Good to hear you find your path in real life too, keep it up !!
 
@gogetbusy - I'll leave it up to the admins to determine whether you have a future in the WRS and I won't seek to sway them one way or the other in a public forum. What I will say though is that it would have been easy for you, even recognizing the above in your own mind, to not come back on here and make a public apology. So for that, I thank you and wish you the best in life, whether here or elsewhere.
 
I personally echo the sentiments that you guys have posted here. I'm glad to see Jev come here, own up to his mistakes, and apologize to all of you. It was for that opportunity, as much as anything, that his account was not banned sooner.

He contacted me over the weekend, while I was away from home. Now that the team has had more of an opportunity to discuss, we've arrived at the conclusion to ban his account from the site. He's been banned from the site multiple times (more than just the 2 that participated here), and not only cheated in WRS, but abused staff over the PM system on the site and PSN.

We wish him the best, but cannot condone that behavior.
 
I would think a lot of people in WRS would like this, a lap in the Audi of Laurens VanThoor at Bathurst. Enjoy ;)

Overhere in Belgium it is not live on TV. Motors TV will probably broadcast the 'highlights' next week or something.... But there will be several streams where you can watch.

Just saw top gear can only watch it on monday since I want to watch it with my dad and my parents always watch something else on sunday night. But that P1 is such a nice car I love how it looks.It looks a bit like an lmp1 car for the road IMO.
 
Well, there hadn't been any update from UPS about the whereabouts of my G27 since I last reported on it last week in the TT thread, but it arrived in San Jose yesterday. I now got a message from Logitech saying my new one is on its way and they gave me a UPS tracking number... with which I can now see that's it's leaving from... Memphis, just like @ItsAllAboutWins said it would 👍 It's saying it should be here next Tuesday but I'm hoping to be lucky and get it before that.

In the meantime, I must say I got used to my old DFGT and I'm not sure I could have done better in last week's TT with a G27, but it's hard to say for sure.
