Hey OwensRacing when i get home i will put the link of my race on here i forgot to put it on here this morning i got caught up with family stuff

I am really looking forward to the first ever GTPlanet Racing Series (GTA V Style) I think we are going to have a really good turn out for it great job on everything so far OwensRacing you have done really good and if you ever need help with anything like host wise for these series races i am available to host if needed, i believe this will go a long ways and down the road we could have multiple rooms during the series so it could get really interesting

I would like to join this racing series im BeAsT_Pk_RIPPER's Friend i applied to the GTA V Crew they should be sending me a invite to the crew shorty
 
Owens, could you post up times for those tracks for something to aim for (solo runs/ a few people) so we know what we're running.

And also, is the Modern corvette decent in Sports vs the Jester?
 
Harrison, pretty new to the racing side on GTAV. Having watched Broughy's and Gun1t's YOUTUBE channels. Seems the Masscro, Elegy, Jester, & Feltzer are the top dogs in Sports.

Super Class, Zenterno really seems to be car of choice. A quality driver can do well in the Turismo.

Muscle, The Dominator, Gaintlet, Blade. All good options.

Sedans, Felon, Zion, exemplar are also good options.
 
No no no for the Gauntlet. It doesn't have a spoiler so it falls ridicuously behind.

Not so... I have been beaten by a Gauntlet while racing with my Dominator and have won in my Gauntlet vs Blades and Dominators.

Was this before update 1.14? I would know this stuff since i race almost every day.

Were you racing with randoms then? I know as a fact that the Gauntlet has a huge disadvantage now.

I lost to Jahgee (Gauntlet) while in my Dominator (i wasn't at my best that night but it was clear that his car was equal).
And my Gauntlet victory was against randoms (and I was out in front from the start)

Are you at least aware that the Gauntlet has a huge disadvantage? If you're seriously doubting me, then you're wrong. Put a spoiler on the Dominator and witness how much better it is on a track.

Haha.... no doubt at all... As with every car/race it comes down to skill/parts/track knowledge/luck. But I do know that spoilers have certainly given cars a boost in traction and in a class like muscle that puts any car without that option at a disadvantage.

Contact races, NO split stream or Catchup
 
I agree with no catch-up, but I'm okay with slipstream. Contact races are fine with us (GTP members) Now, for Super, I have an Entity and have beaten a few guys in Zentorno's, most of the time it's very close but I heard the Entity is faster in top speed.

Edit: For sports, the Elegy RH8 seems to very well, and depending on the track I've had good luck with the Modern Corvette. Also, with Muscle, the Sabre Turbo is pretty good if you can control it. I'm looking forward to the meet, are we using mics at all?

With the first race of the series this Sunday with slip stream is going to be crazy because with slip stream there will be alot of contact even if you know how to drive on GTA V but it will be close so its all up to Owens for what he puts
 
I have no mic.

Anyways I never really liked the Elegy RH8. My friends and I have all agreed that it's just OP so most race crews have banned it from competetive racing (Other than GTA Race Crew who are mainly hotlappers and hold most of the legit world records on R* and R* verified tracks). It's pretty crazy how on some tracks I can get a faster time in an Elegy than an Entity or Zentorno. :crazy: With the Elegy out of the way, it allows more cars to be used that can compete closely. The Feltzer, Massacro, and 9F are all really close.

As for Muscle cars, the Dominator and Blade are your best bets, but you should choose wisely depending on your driving style. The Blade has fantastic acceleration and traction, but it has major understeer and a horrific top speed. On the opposite side of the spectrum there's the Dominator with lots of oversteer and good acceleration, but a very high top speed. (You can use a Ruiner or Sabre Turbo if you want to be an underdog ;))
 
Anyone got a good time to aim for Highway? I did a 56.3 on my first attempt. Just wondering if anyone has some good laps done for these tracks so I know what to aim for.


Edit; 1:55 on shady, used the coquette.
