Well there is not really a DP team per say. We were just throwing around the idea of running the DP in the 24hr. As of now its just us few total that keep posting. Just keep a check on this thread about future events I guess. I'm not sure what other races I'll be able to do once the real race season starts.



OK that sounds good. I have to do a few things but I can get on later maybe around 10-10:30 if any of you guys are still around. I'll for sure be free all night tomorrow night so we need to at least get all together then. I talked to my friend today because he is painting me a couple of cars and he mentioned something to me about the 24hr. I totally forgot to ask him earlier on about doing it. He's down to race with us and he said he might know a person or two. Like I told him though the amount of least people we can get by with the better chance we have keeping the car together. He's good for practice tomorrow night as well. I probably need to get him to sign up so he can post in the thread so everybody is on the same page.

Yeah that sounds good for the time. I'll start it off and run the first 3 hours then after that we need to figure everything out. I was planning on trying to put up a schedule tonight here on the thread to start to get everything set. What other times would be good for you? My buddy said hes good for the evening time so I'll have to get with him as well. I know last year we did the 3, 2 hour stints but I'm up for driving more this year. I think to meet the fair share laps thing with 4 drivers it was 2 full fuel runs.

Just emailed you the setup. Just send it to Aaron if you guys get in a practice together. Let me know if you find any changes to be better so I can give them a try later on. Sounds good about tomorrow I'll be on early around 8 and I'll get my buddy on as well. I can give you guys the team speak info as well if you want to get in there.
 
I think the setup should be fine, I adjusted the brake bias to better suit me and didn't have any issues completing a stint. Theres a bit more understeer as the stint goes on, but it's manageable. Laptimes dropped from mid-low 1:45s to mid-high 1:46s over the stint, with a few anomalies in there for traffic and such.

My tires were as follows after one stint:
LF-92% RF-93%
LR-96% RR-96%
So double stinting should be possible, though I'm not sure how drop-off is during the second stint. I'll probably just take tires and have a bathroom break at pitstops.


Edit: Also, I'd rather do 2 hour stints. I don't think I could go 3 hours without losing concentration.

Talked to my buddy Stefan Marinak earlier and he can get on tomorrow night and practice with us. He said hes got one friend that's pretty fast that could possibly do a stint between 11am & 3pm, but he's supposed to let me know for sure in the morning so I'll post up here when I know. If not could one of you guys maybe Keith take over after to me at 11? Stefan is good from 7pm-2am and said could most likely do the last stint if needed.

Here is the preliminary schedule so far. I'll put ?'s by the unconfirmed slots. Little bit of issue is Stefan cant get on until 7pm so if his buddy cant do the 11am-1pm split then 2 of us are going to have to double up before Stefan gets on. I'm trying to fit Aaron in late as I could with his time change and since I'm starting and plan on doing 2, 3 hour stints and 1, 2 hour stint for 8 hours total I was trying to be finished by midnight if possible. Let me know what you guys think.

As for the car it felt very understeery to me but I can fix that through brake adjustment while I'm driving, I'll just have to map my wheel tonight for all the buttons I'm gonna use that I usually don't. Works for me. I can do 1-3 and you coud take 3-6 if you'd like a bit more of a break between your first 2 stints. Driving 6 hours in an 8 hour span seems pretty rough.

Well looks like everything is set. Stefan wasn't able to get on tonight because when he got home his power was out but I emailed him the setup and everything supposed to be good for tomorrow. If for some reason he cant get on and take over for me I'll get him to post up here or something to see if any of you guys can and I'll keep going or something. Hopefully this will be not be a issue. I'll pm you guys the teamspeak info. Just use your real name in the nickname spot and once you get in just hop over to the the "Race 1" room as that's where I'll be. Aaron if you don't have a mic there is chat box you can type into if you wanted to join.

Im going to start from pit lane to be safe. We can do like last year and just fix any damages fully then continue. I tried running some laps on used tires after a fuel run and im not sure if it will be worth it or not to try and double stint. The car felt ok but I was about a 1.0-1.5 slower per lap than new tires and about .5 slower than low fuel on worn tires so might lose any time gained over a run.

One other thing I wanted to add was to maybe look at the in car adjustments like tc,abs and brake bais before you enter the race and keep note. Since we all will likely be running those settings a little different from each other I'm not 100% sure if they reset back to default once we swap drivers.

If someone can let me know which split you're in that would be great! I'll pop in and check up on you guys every now and again :) I'll be running the top split live all day though!

Hey guys in the room. We are grided 36th so I'll likely just start the race as normal and fall to the back and leave a gap since Im already not to far from there. One thing I totally forgot about though is the warm up is 30 mins long so we need to readjust the schedule and add 30 mins to the times.

OK guys just finished the first stint. We started 17th so I just started from the grid since I was so far back and I made it up high as 7th running down 6th, but end of my 3rd fuel run I had a half spin coming onto the banking and lost a bit of time and gave the car to Stefan in 8th place. Unfortunately though Stefan didnt have a button set for the pit limiter so it was stuck on until I figured out what the factory button is so we lost a bit of time there. If you don't have your pit limiter button mapped its the "A" key. Also for those wondering we are in the 5th split out of 15.

Another thing I forgot was the 30 min warmup so the time has moved up by 30 mins. The updated schedule is below.

Just text Stefan and Aaron has taken over. He finished his stint with no issues. We fell down to 14th with the pit limiter issue but we can make it back up I think.

Finished my stint, didnt make up any spots. I did overtake 2nd, 3rd and 7th though, so thats something. Had a couple spins, but handed the car back to Jason the way I got it- she sure looks alot better than this time last year!
