Just curious have we been getting new tires every stop? I was watching the top rooms feed and they were talking about very little tire were and double stunting the tires.

I didn't get a chance to try a double stint in practice, so I did a tire change. Didn't want to find out a double was the wrong choice halfway through my second stint.

Edit: Just an FYI for everyone, our stints are ending around 20 after the hour, so be ready about quarter after or you'll miss the pitstop.

Gave the car off to Keith about 30 mins ago. We are running about 8-10 mins earlier than the schedule if you guys can join about 15-20 mins early than scheduled that should be enough of a buffer. I got the car from Aaron in 14th and got my way up to either 8th or 9th when I gave the car to Keith. Car has a few dings, but still good to go far as performance. Not sure far as laps go I didn't think to look. I know when I started we were 4 off the lead and 1 off few of the guys in front and I know when I got out there was a few guys in front of us on the same lap.

I ended up doing a double stint on tires after my first fuel run. After the first fuel run my fronts were at 93% and rears at 90% and after the second fuel run on those tires the fronts were at 83% and the rears 80%. Just like I tested in practice you're about a second per lap slower and its a little sketchy the first few laps until some of the fuel burns off but you can maintain that one second off until the end of the run. I went in the pits 10th or so and after the cycle I was in 7th and dropped to either 8th or 9th. Its about 35 secs for tires. Might be worth a try if you guys want. Not sure of the after effect since i gave the car off to Keith so he could possibly fall back to where I was before doing that. I just wanted to try and keep us in the top 10 and on the same lap as few of the guys ahead of us.

Just handed the car off in 10th. Should been up a few more places, but a dp and another gt3 car thought it was a good idea to go 3 wide into turn 1. All was well until the dp got impatient and clipped my quater sending me across track wich resulted in a black flag for cutting. No damage to the car though so we're all good there. Just gotta keep grinding.

Yeah some of those guys are idiots. Seen a few in my stints. Long as the car is fine that's most important.

You can go to the find official races tab and then down to watch and click on road series and go down until you see the daytona 24hr. We are in the 5th split.

Just finished my last stint. When I pulled in the pit I was 7th but 8th was just a few seconds back. I think we can finish 8th or 9th long as we keep in clean like we have already. I would suggest double stints on the tires from here on out as once the fuel starts to burn off good about mid run or so you can start back running times the same as end of the stint on new tires.

Just got out the car about 5 mins ago so we're actually about switching at 10 after the hour. My second stint on fuel went by fast for some reason. It's was a sloppy stint for me. Lost it a few times in the bus stop, but still no damage. We're currently 9th.
 
I popped in and watched a few of you guys. Great job keeping clean 👍 Keep the updates coming to the end! I unfortunately have to leave my hotel room and can't keep up anymore :(
 
Just handed the car back to Keith in a very lonely P9. I had an awesome battle with P8, unfortunatly though he was a lap ahead. That's it from me, it's been fun racing with you guys. I'll see ya after the chequered flag.

Double stinting the tires didnt work for me, I was 10 seconds ahead of P8 after my first stint, and ended my second stint 5 seconds behind.
 
Handed the car off for the last time in 8th place. Pretty sure we're locked in there. Was fun racing, but I need to get to bed.
 
Congratulations guys!! Job well done, I popped in last night during Stefan's and Jason's stint and I was really impressed by how clean the car was compared to almos every other car on track! I got a first row seat to a big scare for Stefan going into T-1 with a spun out DP, the car that was 1 second ahead got tangled in the mess but Stefan handled it masterfully!
Good job team, very proud of you guys again!! TEAM GTP!!!!!

Its hard to do a direct comparison because of the physics, tire and track surface updates but last year we did a total of 742 laps and this year we did 782. Not sure with real race season coming up but would like to do a couple more endurance races this year if possible. For sure whenever Le Mans gets here I'll be down for the 24hr of Le Mans.

Hey guys! The Sebring 12Hr is coming up next month and I was wondering if there are any plans for the team?

I'll have to pass on Sebring. I've just never been able to get to grips with that track. It's pretty cool though they are doing multiple time slots. If they do that for some of the other races that would be awesome. I'll be down for doing some of the other endurance races throughout the season just not Sebring :lol:.
 
Sorry guys, it will be difficult for me to race with the GTP team now that I've joined with Radicals Online. Anyway, I thought I would stop by and let you guys know, just so you don't think I've decided to abandon the team. I may still be able to join in, but only on a last minute basis. Anyway, good luck for Sebring! I'll still be rooting for you guys, and will still be keeping up with what is going on!

Just for extra information. If you guys are looking at doing the main race with Racespot coverage and high SOF, it will be the Saturday 13GMT race.

I'm out sadly, my internet has gone from sketchy to impossible to race. I'll hopefully have it fixed soon, but not in time for Sebring.
