I think that anyone D class and above can join the Road Warrior races. But the races will split based in iRating. High split can be really high SoF, Martin Kronke even participated last season.

I'd be interested in running it again. I already scheduled off of work that saturday in anticipation.

Man, I'm in the US for the past 2 months and have to go back outside the country literally the week of the 24. I guess I won't be running it this year :( Good luck to you all!

The SR is like normal but far as I know there is still no iR gain or loss in team racing. The field will be set by irating going off of the average of the people signed up I believe or just the one person that starts the race if they are the only person signed up at the start. So that means whoever is going to start needs to qualify as it will be going off of their times.

The way we did it last year I believe we got Jav to qualify and start the race since I think he had the highest iR of us that were racing. I have no problem qualifying and starting us off but I never do official road races really so my road iR is pretty low at around 2400. Last official road race i did was this race last year .

@JerseyDriverSS If you want to practice this upcoming week just let me know what time is good for you. We can still use my buddies team speak. I got league races on Wednesday and Thursday night but any other night I'm good. Luckily this coming week is the last week in the league I'm running so I'll have the week leading up the the 24hr free to practice.

Maybe another guy or two here will want to race so if not we can try and find at least 2 more. I'm going to try and get on this weekend and play around with couple of the cars. I'm assuming we will go the GT route again this year unless you guys want to run the new prototype.

I was gonna buy the dp tonight and try it out. In all honesty though I don't care what we drive.

Did you get a chance to try the new DP yet? I ran about an hour or so last night with it and it was only the 3rd time or so Ive driven it and it wasn't to bad. Would need more time with it. Tonight I ran the ford gt for about 30 mins since we ran it last year and it felt pretty good with some minor tweaks to the setup we used last year to get it to pass inspection. I would be ok with running it again. Once we figure out the car looks like we need to find 2 more drivers.

I'll be on later this evening if you wanna get some practice in together. I didn't get a chance to buy it yet, got sidetracked and never made it on that night.

Yeah that happens to me as well lol. I'm down for some practice but don't think I'll be able to tonight. I'm trying to run the full official season in the super late models and Sunday night has had the best SOF races so I'll be busy running those races tonight. I'm free tomorrow night though. My leagues last races for the season are on Wednesday and Thursday night so after those I'll be available to practice about every night up until the 24hr.

I'll be on tonight. I've taken a liking to the bmw, but like I said I really don't care what we drive. Just later night I noticed I've had my brakes set up wrong for the pastyear and a half. With that said I shaved a second in 2 laps. I'm gonna be way more competitive and consistent.

The McLaren feels extremely stable. I was running an average of 1:44.9's in a session just a moment ago with minor adjustment changes. 1:44.6 on my best lap.

I never got a chance to get on tonight. I got to practice for my league races tomorrow night some but I'll practice for about an hour if your on at some point. Friday would be the best night to schedule a practice if you can get on as I will be doing these last league races of the season on Wednesday and Thursday but after that I should be free until the race. I'll give the bmw a try as it doesn't matter to me either what car we use I figured I would try out the other cars before next week.

I'll give the Mclaren a try. I don't race the GT3's really so I'm not partial to any car. In the Ford with race fuel my best is 45.2 and my average is 45.5-46.0. Was already thinking I need to get my best and averages to around what yours are because that whats the top GT guys were running in the last practice I was in. I figured if we can run around those times and stay out of trouble we likely can be pretty competitive in the split we're in if I start the race since my iR is only around 2400 ish.

I was on last night and was driving the DP. Car is on ice for the first 2 laps, but after that it is extremely stable. With any of the cars i'm competitive with judging by the times that were in my lobby last night. Friday night won't work for me as that's auction night (off topic i'm a wanna be picker and buy/sell vinyl records as a side gig).

Yeah the out lap especially on the DP is super sketchy. Like driving on ice lol. Im about the same speed wise in the DP and ford from what I can tell by the sessions Ive been in. I'll practice here and there throughout the week and by the weekend we can decide on a car. That's cool man hope you find some cool stuff haha. Just let me know when is good for you if you want to practice some this weekend.

Need to try and figure out about 2 more drivers as well. Hate to put in all the time and effort and we get a couple days out from the race and its still just us 2. Driving something other than the ford might help us find a couple more since not many drive the ford as it is. I know right many friends that are on iracing but they are all oval guys. There is one guy I have in mind that's a good driver that might would race so I'll see if he wants to join because I remember he did one of the daytona 2.4's when they had those and if not maybe we should put up a post on the iracing forums next weekend or something.

Sounds good to me.

I'm interested in doing this 24h with the gtpers. Pm me if interested my name is Aedan Campbell on iracing and I think my irating is like 2600. Hope to hear from you guys

I'll be on tonight for a while if your gonna be.

That sounds good. I was going to send you a team invite last night but I see your already on the GT planet team. Just post up when you think you can practice this week and what race times you would be able to do. Last year we did 3, 2 hour stints so 6 hours total for each driver. We still need to figure out at least 1 more guy. I'm ok with doing maybe 2, 3 hour stints and a 2 hour one. We will get it all figured out this week.

I'll be on tonight for a while if your gonna be.

I'll be on. I'm getting ready to try and do the 9:15 Super late model race so should be done with that about 10 if you want to practice around then. If for some reason I don't do it I'll send you a pm on iracing before 10. After I get done with my race I'll see if you are in a session already.

As far you car goes I'm still not really sure lol. I've driven everything except the Mclaren. I don't mind going the prototype route if you guys want but for GT I'd rather not use the bmw. I just cant be as consistent in it. I'm running the same times more or less in the ford and ruf.

Ended up not doing the slm race so I'm practicing with the prototype. If you guys want to run some laps let me know I'll be on for awhile.

I'd be interested in doing this again this year, as long as you guys decide what car to use soon so I can get enough practice in. (Unless it's the Mclaren, I hate the Mclaren) I'm running mid 1:45 -mid 1:46s in the FGT, but would be fine if you guys choose something else.

Awesome! I'm leaning towards the ford again this year if its ok with you guys. I just seem to be the most consistent in it. I'm running 45.1-45.5's in race trim. Longest run Ive done so far is 15 laps a couple of times and I can still maintain mid 45's long as I hit my marks and get clean laps. I've yet to try any type of qualifying runs. I was going to maybe start off the race if its ok with you guys and I also thought about just starting from pit lane to try and avoid the first lap carnage. Wanted to hear your guys' thoughts on that.

I'm up for practicing this week. We need to really get together for at least 2 nights we can all practice together since we have to run the same setup. Also need everyone to post up your available race times so we can get a schedule together. It worked out well last year to where a fuel run was about an hour.

I'll host something for us all if you want. I just seem to get lot of stutters when I'm in a official practice when people are entering and exiting the room. Seems this was the case last year as well and should be a lot better in the race once everybody gets in and there's not people constantly joining and leaving.

I'd be up for joining a DP team probably. Right now I'm just in my own team lol

Looks like we are going to run the ford gt. If you want to run it your more than welcome to join us.

I can be on every night this week, so i'm up for practice whenever.

That sounds good. What time would be good for you guys tonight? I'm good anytime after 8 just let me know and I can host is up a session.

Did a whole stint on your setup, car is a bit of a handful in the second half of the stint so I might try a couple things tomorrow to see if I can get it to settle down a little. Also, maybe we should consider going with the tall gears? I didn't get a chance to try them out, but I was hitting top speed before the start/finish so there may be a bit to gain there.

Edit: A stint was 31 laps, you could probably do 32 if you fuel saved but I don't think it's worth the risk. That puts a fuel stint at around 55 minutes, plus a 1 minute pitstop for fuel/tires.

Yeah that was a good practice last night. I only got in another 15 or so lap run so not sure on the setup after that. Its for the most part what we ran last year with the ride heights changed to pass tech. I did go up on the rear sway bar 1 click to help it turn more so you can try and lower than back down a click and that should help at the end of the run since the rear wont be as stiff. I was planning when I get on tonight doing a full fuel run. Also I'll try the longer gears but Im honestly not sure if it will help. Only time I've hit the limiter was once last night when I had a little bit of draft but I've drafted people before and not hit it. In my experience trying longer gears at other tracks like nurburgring the top speed didn't increase it only ran at a lower rpm at top speed and hurt acceleration in the lower gears but its worth a try to see.

Fuel run seems to be about the same as last year. Did you happen to check your tires after? Just was wondering if it might be possible to double stint tires or not. I saw a couple of people talking about it on the iracing forums but not sure how feasible it will be. That's one of the things Id still like to try out later. I'll be online little after 9 tonight for awhile. Likely will take tomorrow night off from it and practice again Friday night. Hopefully @JerseyDriverSS and @FakeGangstaDIE can get on either tonight or Friday to try out the setup.

Far as race day goes I'm good for whatever time splits. Last year we did 2 hour stints and we can do that again but I was maybe thinking I would like to do 2, 3 hour stints and 1, 2 hour one. If you guys could post whats good for you then we can start to try and get the race schedule worked out.

How many guys do you have on the Dp team?

I can't run this one, in middle of moving houses, I hope to do one or two endurance races later this year.

I assume having an Aussie will benefit you guys? I can do the longer night stints whilst you guys get some sleep...

I'll be on tonight and tomorrow @MadRR also I'm up for whatever saturday. I'm off all day and we're gonna be getting hit with a blizzard anyways.

I'll be on later, but for some reason all my setups were deleted so I don't have the setup anymore. @MadRR can you maybe put it in a .zip file and attach it in the thread here?

As for the race, I'm on the west coast so I could do the 12am-2am (Or something like that) PST stint (3-5am Eastern) so you guys don't have to do it. Other than that I'd rather not start as that's 5am my time, but I can fill in where needed.

Send me a fr on iracing if we're not already. I'm Keith Horner Jr.

Well there is not really a DP team per say. We were just throwing around the idea of running the DP in the 24hr. As of now its just us few total that keep posting. Just keep a check on this thread about future events I guess. I'm not sure what other races I'll be able to do once the real race season starts.

OK that sounds good. I have to do a few things but I can get on later maybe around 10-10:30 if any of you guys are still around. I'll for sure be free all night tomorrow night so we need to at least get all together then. I talked to my friend today because he is painting me a couple of cars and he mentioned something to me about the 24hr. I totally forgot to ask him earlier on about doing it. He's down to race with us and he said he might know a person or two. Like I told him though the amount of least people we can get by with the better chance we have keeping the car together. He's good for practice tomorrow night as well. I probably need to get him to sign up so he can post in the thread so everybody is on the same page.

If you guys want to PM me your email address I can email it to you guys. Im not sure how to attach it up here lol.

Yeah that sounds good for the time. I'll start it off and run the first 3 hours then after that we need to figure everything out. I was planning on trying to put up a schedule tonight here on the thread to start to get everything set. What other times would be good for you? My buddy said hes good for the evening time so I'll have to get with him as well. I know last year we did the 3, 2 hour stints but I'm up for driving more this year. I think to meet the fair share laps thing with 4 drivers it was 2 full fuel runs.
