D*mn, if I known there was an auction, I would have tried to get in on it. I'm trying to get my bud one of those since he lost the real deal.:ouch:

:scared: you would've bumped up the price!
I did however, mention a few pages previous that I had found an E36 M3 GTR black, on eBay and was watching it.

However, all is not lost my friend. Check your PM in a minute or two. 👍

Cool.

I just wanna say screw Hot Wheels and get these, but I need the Hot Wheels to have road-to-race setup.

is that picture from a diecast convention/meet or a private collection??

check your PM now McLaren

hmmm, that reminds me, I wanted to see if their were any Sauber C9's on eBay. lol. I doubt it but its worth a look.

Is there a website out there that can tell us how much our die cast models are valued at?

I'm about to drop a few bucks on eBay for a model.

These are BBRs (for those who might not know) and I'm sure we'll be looking at $250+ USD for one of those.👍

I'm not aware of any website that has a list of values of 1/18s. If it's a recent 1/18, you might want to try scale18.com. They are an online retailer but I think their price are pretty reasonable.

If it's not on there and you don't mind posting what this 1/18 is, may be someone might be able help you out. Or, if you like, you can PM me and I might be able to help you out with records I keep on certain 1/18s. Cheers.

^cuz ur ass is rich right? :grumpy:

I'd do one of two things... see if Exoticar has it. I know people don't like that place but they seem like middle to high range prices for the model you're looking at. If possible look at other auctions for the same car and see what it's currently at. $81 sounds rather normal.

Good luck 👍

I'm not sure what you mean by that comment. But keeping a record ongoing eBay prices has no relevance ones wealth, let alone owning that particular model. Cheers.
You own that one? :grumpy::)

Actually, no. It is not my cup of tea and it's way too pricey. I haven't seen the pace car on eBay for a while so it can be a hit or miss in terms of pricing. But I wouldn't be surprised to see it go for $200+ USD. 👍

Unless I'm wrong I don't see how else eBay would work, the person that bids the highest wants it the most and probably has the most money to spend. The only difference in your case is that you buy these model for collecting them not just as a $ amount that you can resell later to make a profit from.

edit: Have any of you seen the AA first get Speed 8? they claim to make one but I've only seen the second gen like what I have the #8.

I keep record to allow me to assess what my max bids should be when I see something I like. As a collector, I'm sure you know how 'passion' takes over 'reason' which may cause 'over-bidding' on auctions. I've paid my fair share of expensive 1/18s when I first started collection (i.e. when I don't know any better). Since then I've kept records of what I like so I know when I'm getting a good deal for something.

As for the Speed 8, Autoart hasn't made the 2002 car yet. It's not seen at Nuremberg Toy Fair (which is going on now), so it doesn't seem to be arriving any time soon. 👎

If I get a job during the summer and make some decent money, I might get that Sauber C9 along with a Ferrari 312T4 Villeneuve by exoto.

I remember someone asking about a SVT Cobra R too, but it's probably just your imagination.

Nice model by the way. Might get one of those one day.

At the moment though, I just have way too many other things on my wishlist.

First on the list, Mazda 787B by Autoart before stocks run out, so I'm getting that sometime soon. Then I've got Mika Hakkinen McLaren MP4-15 by Minichamps, then many other junks like Miura SV by Kyosho, Countach 5000S by autoart, 300SL by Minichamps, Ferrari 333Sp by Hot Wheels, Ford GT yellow by autoart, then after that, clk-lm and audi r8 and 911 gt1 and bmw v12 lmr all by maisto's gt line, and the list goes on like Veyron 16.4 by autoart and bla bla bla. :scared:
