Well, since there aren't that many documentaries made about the afghan war, I didn't think it would be that hard to figure out. Its obvious by the shot that they were in the middle east. To me that was a pretty obvious clue. And I didn't say it was "obvious", I said it was the only clue I could really think to give. Really, what other clue would you give for that movie and still make it not just a dead giveaway? Just with what I gave it was a pretty easy one for people to just google, documentary+movie+war+middle east.

I can think of at least 10 different documentaries of the middle east made in the last 5 years, there's been a fair bunch (including the one I mentioned). A nice clue would've been an approximation of how old it is (say, less than 10 years old), if it won any awards, other movies/documentaries the director's made... check out the trivia section in IMDb.com, there's always lots of funny and interesting bits about the movie there.

Being it was the first clue, I didn't want to just make it super easy. If people would have asked for more clues then I would have did something like that, but I didn't want to give it away extremely easy and fast.
