Thanks chaps. I am having my last and final 'birthday' celebrations this evening, despite a resolution (not a New Year's resolution, just an on-going one) to cut down my alcohol intake by approximately 50% This will be the 5th birthday celebration in 7 days...

• Jan 4th - Family dinner in Edinburgh, then drinks at friend's house followed by nightcap at another friend's ("She's not my special lady..." )
• Jan 5th - Mate's Dad's 60th - free bar all night and my birthday at midnight
• Jan 6th - Hangover from hell, but another family get-together (and birthday cake, thanks Mum )
• Jan 7th - 1st day back in London, out with work friends - late one
• Jan 9th - Recovered from Monday night - out for drinks with fellow ethanologist and all-round swell guy, Stefan

No rest for the wicked...

Thanks everyone!... After last week's parties, and last weekend's even bigger celebrations (my friends got married in Scotland - it was a big night!), I'm pretty much all partied out, and have been completely boring this week. However, an old friend is back in town on Saturday, so might have one last hurrah before officially retiring into perpetual boredom (New Year's Resolution to cut down on the booze )
