Has anyone lost interest in this game?

I think the game should do horrible in sales so PD will learn not to be so damn secretive about every detail.

personally speaking I'm glad PD is being secretive only let out tiny bits of information... I mean do you like the idea of other developers(Turn 10 in particular) stealing their ideas?

Don't need to be so secretive... All the great and revolutionary ideas are here on GTP...
- skid mark
- reverse, back-up light
- IRL cars
- dynamic weather
- 3-d trees, and 10,000 pixel leaves
- roam around cababilities for witness, by-stander and spectator audiences

All you need is to browse and use the Search function here....

Not at all.GT5p was the first GT game i've owned, borrowed all but 4 so it's not like i've invested time into the series and need more. Also i've been a long time nintendo fan,and GT getting delayed from march until autumn (hopefully) isn't a big deal for me.
In fact i'll order tourist trophy before next week, and will probably fix my PC,get R-factor or something, maybe GP4 and i'll be sound.

An idea can only be stolen if it's patented, and even then once the patent expires...

I find it odd for people to keep saying PD did this and that first (not singling you out whatsoever) when all they've done is do it differently.

I haven't lost interest in GT5 by any means, I'll still preorder it and all that, but the community here has kept me from really getting into GTP

most of you blokes are too stubborn and nerdy

I know it's frustrating waiting all this time, but look at it this way. All this waiting will make the game all the better once it comes out!:sly:

I have lost a bit of interest in GT, I used to be sooo into it, but now playing PC games has well on truly taken my mind off GT. Of course, I will still buy it and play GT5 first day it comes out, but not to the extent that I did prologue.

I was super hyped once I found out about McLaren, weather and such. That was a week of unexpected news. But now I am drained. I've put in too much emotionally and now I am burn out. -1 is my hype/10.

Not really. But i've gained a lot of MADNESS!!!

If KY isn't so secretive, maybe I'd love him more... He's like that uncle that always gives you a promise that he'll buy you that toy truck you really wanted, everytime there's holidays or your birthday, but no, he keeps delaying! (Not that GT5 is delayed, but at least give as a time frame! WHAT GIVES FOO!!!)

Uncle: "Im sorry son, ill have it next time!"
Moi: "No! Freak you uncle! Freak you and your receding hairline! I'll stick to my match box!"

PD has to be secretive, cause they are so slow to market that competitors would have completed 2-3 versions of copied ideas before PD completes their original idea. :grumpy:

like the livery editor which was supposed to come out with GTHD, it was not even on GTP and won't be in GT5.

I am starting to lose interest.
Yes, there was never an official release date, so technically we can't complain about the delays but after all the false promises and the underwhelming TT demo, I just dont know if I care anymore.
If this game were as perfect as many people on this site make it out to be, then I'd still be excited but in reality, its far from it. Yes, it will have pretty graphics and ton of cars but besides that I'm really struggling to come up with more reasons to be excited.
The demo felt more like a half-assed simulator, rather than a game. It seems that PD has forgotten that games, above all, are supposed to be fun.
Not all hope is lost though, there's still time to blow us away but right now I'm just upset and disappointed.

Ya, I'm with you there. I don't think they could have disappointed the fans more if they had tried. Another month or even three, but 11 more months is just a joke. From everything they have shown, I just don't see it. More than upset about the constant delays and lack of "real" information, I am scared GT5 could be a complete disappointment. I haven't seen anything to get me excited, all we have had are empty promises.

I hope I can invest on a gamin PC or XBox, to play other SIMs by this Spring, just in case and since GT5 won't release till December from the looks of it. But, I hope they surprise the hell out of all of us soon.

I am losing interest. It's become a bit of a laugh, bit of a joke for me now. I don't care. It'll come out whenever it comes out and I'll still buy it. But for now (and in the future) lets just laugh at it, laugh at PD and laugh at Sony.   The Real Waiting Simulator!! hahaha look... the game that took and I quote "half.......a decade..!!" to make. laughing stock.

Sorry back to topic.. I am pretty much losing interest rapidly. Due to the fact we get fed little tid bits of information every few months (if we're lucky) and if we're even luckier it'll be NEW news. Because most of the time it's the same cars on the same tracks mixed and matched sometimes.

I wouldnt say that i have lost interest but the hype at the end of last year in that brief spell where we thought we would get some positive feedback burnt me out a bit.

I suppose thats what you get for getting your hopes up.

Not quite true...an idea can be stolen regardless of its IP status. All that would change is the legality of that "theft". Besides, an idea alone cannot be patented anyway.

anyone reading and responding to a GT5 forum, hasnt lost interest. They may very well have lost patience tho.

Honestly, the only interest I have for GT5 is the car list, and only then, I want it to have at least the cars I have used on GT4. If something is missing from GT4, I will go nuts, seriously.

Other than that, I couldn't care less. Sure, I'm posting in this forum, but I'm not replying to news. Rather, other people's comments. Sometimes, it's important to help them.

Competition is great for consumers. I don't care who came up with the idea first. All I would care about is who implemented it better...

To be more on topic, I am losing interest in this game. It better be groundbreaking or I'll be disappointed. All this waiting is reminiscent of GnR's Chinese Democracy, which after 13 years didn't sound as awesome as an album that took that much time should have.

Is that so?

I really need to get around to studying business ethics and everything that revolves around it.

Going on how long it has taken for GT5 to come out i bloody hope they are starting on GT6 already so we might see it by 2018

I guess patience is a virtue learned, not one you're born with :)

How can you lose interest in the most awesome racing game ever to eventually be released ? Ya'll need to realize that you are only frustrated because you choose to be frustrated. Happiness is a choice :) I learned long ago not to let things that I had no control over, bother me. Getting all riled up and frustrated isn't going to cause the game to be released any sooner. It'll be here when it's here .... nothing you can do about it, so stop worrying about it :)

You know once it's here, we'll all be playing it with our jaws in our laps :)

Nope but ranting feels good. Seriously, I feel sorry for the philosophical hippy - types among us. Nothing makes you feel quite like a psychotic hate-rage :sly:

If GT5 had been released in 2009 or even Q1 2010 I'd be well up for it and would be happy with the result, however with a Q4 2010 release probable then I think i'm going to be dissapointed with what we receive (IE/ It'll have taken over 12 months longer than Forza to release and more than 3 years extra to develop yet wont include features that forza 3 does)

I hope Im wrong and it blows me away, and im sure it will consume my life when I get it, but I dont think the game will be worth the extra 18 months its taken to come out from when Kaz said "we could release it today"

Tired of waiting and plus this forum is even more boring now. Talking about a game that will be out in 20011 makes it all the more boring. Looks like I'll be getting a 360 and forza 3 because its gonna be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong wait and I only live once.

I'm at that stage were I'm now hoping for GT5 delays thanks to the lacklustre demos PD keep churning out, if that's all they have they are in deep ****.
