Haven't lost an interest in GT yet. I'm just waiting for GT5 until it's released... Killing my time by playing other games and doing other things.. for example viewing the internet to search something :D

Have to echo what most people are saying. Realistically I can't see myself losing interest in this title. However what the delays ARE doing is getting people to buy XBox's and Forza 3, which could have permanent ramifications for PD/Sony because like I've already posted, if Forza 3 (and inevitably Forza 4) can satisfy, why spend another $70 on GT5 as well?

I've lost interest in all Sony products. Apart from GT5, I have decided to not purchase any Sony products ever again. TV, headphones, laptop, phone etc.

You finished the game in a week? Or you lost interest in that week?

Seems to short a time for a Bioware game.

game took 41hrs and that's only because I explored every planet for resources and did every mission possible. And I left it on once for like 6 hours when I went to school. It can easily be beaten in under 25 hrs IMO.

that's nice.......

Agree, they're hurting sales by delaying the game (probably not enough for them to care). For ex: In the US, lots of people are getting their tax return and XBOX have Forza to help them, Sony doesn't have GT.

I find it quite hard to loose interest in a game that isn't out and I have not even seen.

Perhaps the reason I don't loose interest because I don't buy into hype and speculation, and if I don't buy into it, its hard to get too over excited, and thus loose that excitement again over time.

If you expect nothing, its hard to be disappointed.

So, let's say GT will not be out for the next 5 or 6 years, will you still be posting here and share your thoughts about "it"???

Oh, the wisdom. :dopey:

I do not understand, why everytime that anyone says the wait for gt5 is too long and boring, people reply theres other good games out there, buy them.
It is just like you get to car-dealer and you want to buy a car but there is no one on stock and you buy instead a motorcycle.
I will not buy any other game for the ps3 than gt5, because i bought and tried a few ones out like dirt and grid but it was not gt, it was not right for me, it was wasted money, as the same thing for pc-xbox-racesims which are maybe better, but after all, i am used to the gt-series, just want gt5 finally

Patience lost? Impossible.

Interest lost? No, sir.

Hype lost? Absolutely.

Hope Sony fails hard? Without doubt.

If I had the cash I'd have bought a 360 and forza by now as ive grown tired of waiting, but since i cant, and since there is plenty of games on Ps3 to keep me occupied im just waiting patiently for Q4 2010 to get my hands on the best GT ever, and the game that will dance all over FM3s grave...apart from in the livery editor dept.

Just wanted to point out mate that it's "lose" not "loose".

On topic.

Yeah I bought a 360 and Forza 3. I posted that I didn't expect GT5 for December 09 despite nearly everyone believing it was nailed on. Just couldn't see it by what was shown, what Kaz said in 2007 about the their progress. I thought May it would be about done.

If GT5 had a real December date months before and the hype from Sony started, I may of held off buying a 360 but GT5 was never going to make that. Still, Alan wake and Mass Effect look good too so probably would've bought one and Forza 3 sooner or later anyway. Still enjoying Forza.

I havent lost interest, but I sure hope the game is hammered with bad reviews even though I think it will be great ;), and it will happend because the expectations for a game in its 7th year of development are insanely high and there is no way in hell those can be met, so I hope for many 6/10 reviews (GT PSP) and a fantastic game!.

It's in its 18th year of development. Work on Gran Turismo 1 began sometime in 1992. Just thought I'd point that out. ;)

At the moment I have lost interest and I think that's good really considering that it's still a while until it comes out so it makes the wait easier then when it's near release date I can start to look forward to it more.

What i don't understand is, if they release this game tomorrow or during Christmas everyone is still going to buy it either way, so whats the real story behind why they're not releasing it sooner rather then later.. it just ***** me.

Because PD are probably not telling us the entire story, Im sure they are having some serious difficulties with the game, Im just wondering if it has anything to do with some of those fps drops in the GT academy demo, by drops I mean at 50fps at some points, and thats simply with 2 cars, one full quality and one about 70% the quality (Ghost), what would happend with 16 cars?, im sure they are having some issues somewhere.

It would be great to know what these issues are so it eases the wait and creates more talking points :D

No serious issues, quality takes time and Sony want GT5 to put the 360 (not just Forza) in the bargain bin so they just want to make sure the game and timing is perfect.

Yeah it's going to be released in about a month.

It is over 5 years now since GT4. Ok We had a prologue nearly 2 years ago. The problem is that was like giving an addict just enough for a day and telling him it was meant to last him a month...People are either freaking out or going cold turkey...There are a lot of people doing a rattle out there...The Prologue was awsome...but now it seems its like the carrot and the stick...sooner or later the donkey just ignores the carrot and turns its head to eat your trousers. If you wanna keep your trousers then you have to give the donkey a carrot more often.....After 5 years it better be one damn fine carrot or the donkey is gonna be upset!

 Funny analogy
