I have not noticed less of a shine on cars no matter how much i race them, even in used cars i buy. Also when you improve rigidity it claims your car is clean.

Anyone have input? :boggled:

i dont think its to do with fixing the car up. i think car washing is to give you a feel that you actually own and take care of the car.

I haven't seen one spec of dirt on my cars even though 'permanent dirt accumulation' was advertised pre release.

After 30 laps of grand vallye (halfway through this endurance race) my car got really dirty around the brakes and on the front. But later in my garage the car was clean like a new born baby.

I wash my NSX RM because it's a dirty, dirty car. Yes it is...dirty... oh so filthy. Glisten.

I just wash them whenever I feel like, if I feel attached to the car, I wash them more often for lulz and fun.

check the photo book, theres a pic in there of a VERY dirty old supra (i think) im yet to see this.

I deliberately havnt cleaned one of my cars and used it alot (in A and B spec) with still no dirt :s

wtf?

Damage patch s coming, maybe dirt accumulation will be too.

I was thinking this too. Its the same with damage and dirt. You can see them during the race but not afterwards. Maybe the patch will also include having the dirt and damage stay on your car until you repair and wash them.

I would expect no less.. otherwise it makes the time spent on modeling and programing the carwash absolutely useless.

also how long do you have to drive before you start to get dirt on your cars? Because I have not noticed any dirt even in replays.

I havn't seen any dirt on my cars except for the cars that have been on gravel-tracks. And they required 5+ laps for it to become obvious. I was expecting rubber/tarmac dirt as well, but that seems non-existent. I'm not sure if the dirt remained on the rally cars after the race for it to be washed off though.

I took my Citroen Rally car to the Eiger in practice for a while and it appeared to have dirt along the bottom of the car and the front. But in my garage, sparkly, and it had the new car smell...

It is kind of like the oil change I have yet to see the oil start to get dirty in the guage at the side of the oil change screen. In GT4 you could see the oil getting dirty. It never seams to change at all in GT5

I've noticed dirt/snow will appear during rally events, but it seems to be washed clean again after the race.

Might be something for the future patches.

I've had to change my oil a few times for my 458 and my ZR1. I probably just do more races than you.

And as for the car wash... I wash my cars regularly after a series of races.
