Has GT6 been hacked already?

Here is 2 non-trolling hybrids for you :)
Just small changes, it's enough...

So tempted to go through the work to "better" some of my cars my i-Concept needs a paint job and some fancy rims, what i wouldn't give to see one fully slammed black, with any rims other than stock with wide tires

No your lame analogy is clear, I just didn't expect someone to try and be a smart ass and answer a question with another question, and sure go ahead, respond to my posts but do so next time with a little more intelligence because clearly I wanted legitimate answer.
If you require intelligent responses, this is not likely to illicit them.

I hope there's no hacking in GT6. Then there would be a reason to play it again, which means I would need to go buy another copy. As it is I was trying to figure out how I'm supposed to patch GT5 to the right patch to do it for that.

I'm not a hacker nor did I ddo it in GT5 but boy would I love to have an H22 or K20 civic hatch or the 3.2 VR6 motor out of the VW R32 put into the mk1 gti/rabbit in the game. :)

I couldn't agree more. Like you said, there would still be people hacking, just not as many I don't think. Give engine swaps and the like and I think most people will be happy with that. You will still have the trollers though. :indiff:

If PD gave us Engine/drivetrain swaps as an option, you can bet that people will still try and hack the game.

Really? Since you seem to be such a know it all why don't you explain why hackers build hybrids?

I don't need your ignorance either, Last time I checked I have a pretty good understanding of the whole hybrid thing.

Lol, I'm not gonna do your homework for you pal. There are more than enough threads on GTP to look through that give very good explanations as to why people build hybrids. Here's a short list anyways:
-motor swaps
-stance
-aspiration swaps
-drivetrain conversions
-increased steering lock
-increasing horse power (within reason) beyond the ridiculously low HP cap on pretty much every car in the game. It's 2014, not 1973..,we have the technology...
-access to the secret menu, which allowed players to do things like make it rain on tracks that don't have rain....GVS in the rain was awesome!!

Perhaps the last time you "checked" was a loooong time ago....because if you were as up to date and informed as you claim to be, you would already know all this.

This should be obvious.
It's because we are extremely limited as to what we can do in the sense of car modification. Motor Swaps, Drivetrain Swaps, Twin Turbo kits, the list goes on. My question to you is, what do you have against it?

Time goes fast.. Last time you checked must have been quite a while ago.

Look man, after reading your comments I was going to tear into you. Especially after the way you've "communicated" with some other members of this site (who I happen to like/respect). How ever I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and allow my self to believe you're just a child on the internet throwing a tantrum.. Have a splendid night.

Anyone willing to guess the new 1.06 update will also address the save file encryption to combat hacking ?

The hybriding thus far doesn't work like that, from what I've been reading. There's no "app" for opening the data from the savefiles, it's only on custom firmware and uses a completely different method to GT5.

I know how it works on GT6, the save files can't be read like in GT5. I still can read replay files ( full setup ) and still know when someone cheated or a car is a hybrid or not. What I meant was PD would do something to address the methods currently used.

I guess I should have said it differently - I didn't want to say too much about how to on the CFW PS3, I don't have such PS3, but I have a friend that do and hybriding in GT6 and I helped him mapping the car data since December last year ( through replay at first )

Once again the question of hacking came up in my room.

A guy (a friend and regular), qualified 1st, started 1st, finished 15 seconds ahead of the pack.

A new guy to my room asked how could he gain 5 seconds a lap on everyone else. It was a 425pp race with RS tires and the guy was in a cyborg, with SRF.

I told the new guy “the guy is fast, the cyborg is fast, and he was not racing side by side with anyone”

Meanwhile a couple of the old fart regulars thought it would be funny to say he was cheating.

Several new guys quit before I had a chance to tell the geriatric brigade to shut the hell up.

PD needs to nip this whole thing in the bud. Those with hacked cars are clearly hackers and should be dealt with harshly.

I hope they don’t allow this to destroy the integity of online racing.

Me, hostile? Nope :D

Just getting beyond tired of the blatant generalizations made about the hybrid community, and the ignorance, arrogance, and selfishness displayed by a large percentage of the anti-hybrid community.
Selfishness, ignorance, arrogance? Alright, I gave 30 pounds for the game, how could that be selfish? If I stole it and still complained about it now that would be what you mentioned. You bought the copy of the game too and you have the right to do whatever you want with it, but when some guy in chrome bright Civic kicks in and beats me and others in my BMW for half a minute gap ahead, you know hybriding isn't so much fun any more (except if you're the guy in that civic or some other hybrid car). But hey, that's online gaming today.

what's that cyborg you're talking of?

425 PP on RS and SRF? :nervous: I don't think you have to worry about hackers trying to join your lobby.:sly:

It is selfish of you to want all hybrids removed from the game just because a portion of those hybrids are used for trolling.

Not everyone who builds hybrids trolls.
Not everyone who builds hybrids races with them...or at all.

If you feel someone in your lobby is using a hybrid to troll or cheat....DAS BOOOOT!!! It's not complicated. But, it appears as if that concept is a little to much for people like you, so instead you cry "PD fix my problems."

Use the tools at your disposal to enjoy the game the way you want to, and let others do the same.

As has been mentioned....should PD remove NOS because some people use it to troll? Should PD remove all the X1s because some people use them to troll? Should PD remove the Tank Car because some people use it to troll?

I've seen people in drift lobbies troll with cars like the LFA, SRT10, ZR1, Spirit R. Same goes for any tires above comfort hard...I would really like to see those removed from the game, as when others have fun with them, it ruins my gaming experience (a problem I can in no way, shape, or form, solve on my own by either booting the offending parties or by leaving the room and finding a new one...PD are the only ones who can solve my problems for me)

Please, try not to forget, this is a VIDEO GAME!!! Who gives a crap if a chrome 30000hp Civic beats you and your buddies. Kick him from the room, and start the race again? Not that tough. Other than perhaps a little pride, you didn't lose anything by not winning the race. I think the vast majority of folks who are organizing race leagues and the like here on GTP are more than capable enough to use the tools at their disposal to properly regulate their competitions, and weed out the cheaters.

It's always astounded me how so many people like you, people who seem to be nothing else but butt-hurt over hybrids, immediately jump on the "err ma gawd remove all hybrids and send their creators to hell" bandwagon. Have you ever stopped to think that there is more than one way to address this issue, and perhaps there might be a solution that works for both parties? It's called options, son. Do some research into how "options" can enhance everyone's gaming experience...careful though, your mind may be blown.

Exactly Twitcher:tup: .To all the whiners! Let PD "fix" the game first, then worry about what is "their problem" later. If you have ever raced any form of PC racing, there are thousands of mods for cars, tracks, etc. They actually improve the game, beyond what the developers intended. Use the 🤬 report/kick button and get on with life.

Options and regulations are the key weapons in this "war" against hybrid cars. I ran a test using two supras running the exact same PP, one was a genuine fully tuned by the game 614PP, the other was ballasted and power reduced to match.
Using Route X, Auto transmission and no nitrous on both, the hacked car got absolutely creamed by the normal one.

I think @Johnnypenso was being sarcastic?

As in, instead of removing a feature from the game because a minority of people troll with it, a better solution would be to add more options for hosts to regulate their rooms more.
You are correct on both counts..lol. In addition to that, we already know that PD knows how to eliminate hybrids from making it online because they did it with GT5. We know hybriding will pop up in GT6,7,8,9 etc. So why not just build some kind of spec check to keep the cars from making it online. The data is all there in the game, it should be a relatively simple exercise, and they've already done it in the past.
