My first attempt

Done using photoshops own HDR Merge function. Bracketed shots were just EV adjusted ones again in Photoshop not from the game. Three photos.

Can I just ask...

What exactly is an 'HDR Shot'?

I see it mentioned all the time but never an explanation, and I've been too embarrassed to ask in case it really is simple :D

Cheers.

Last few, my photo library is full of varying exposures. 90% didnt work!!
Its difficult with standard cars too!!:banghead:

My first (very) quick attempt. Not really that happy with it, but i suppose it's not total crap:

That's a good idea. I might just have to try that. Maybe I can get a decent looking HDR photo out of photoshop after all.

Never made an HDR picture before, tried it for the first time a few days ago.

I'd really like to hear your opinion, because I want to know how good my picture is. :)

More HDR photos will come in the next days, but most of my pictures will keep normal, non-HDR.

Very good if you ask me! Very subtle, but beautiful colour! 👍

I started to try myself creating HDRs. It is such a great possibility, that I will never use the normal photo-creation again. You have so much more control over your image. I always try to keep natural and not toooo artificial.

In addition, I use Photoshop for optimising.

Thank you guys 👍

As I am very new in this topic, have not much time next to my study and part-time job it will be hard to create a complete tutorial about HDR. Already I have not idea about all glossaries of photography and HDR...I use it with instinct and basic knowledge in most ways.

But as info: as primary program I use Photomatrix Pro 4 (costs 99$; free trial has all features, but creates watermark in screen) and Photoshop for the final touch.

As starting material, I create mostly 5 to 6 different shots with different exposures (starting at -3 or -2), import them in Photomatrix, edit them and get the final touch in PS.
