Looking at it now, I definitely need to lighten up the shadowing around the stairs, and somehow kill some of the exposure on the front of the church.
As for the ghosting people, I'm not sure there's much you can do about that????

Try raising the luminosity and lowering the white point. Experiment with highlights smoothness and just "smoothing".

Select "Reduce ghosting artifacts" in the Preprocessing options and set it to automatic and High to get rid of the ghosting people.

wow there are some pretty amazing shots here.
My first attempt probably needs a lot of work, i was trying to get the contrast lower and brightness but because of the sun in the photo , had problems.

Noted 👍
Thanks heaps for the tips.
That Trans Cammer looks amazing :)

binman that ferrari one looks amazing.

f22 with that man, you could photoshop it. take one from your normal pics and place it over the top

Fido_le_muet, thanks man, I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder huh :)
Binman88 ThatFerrari is real nice, that blue looks brilliant!

Here's my next attempt, the GT by Citroën Race Car at the Speed Ring...

Thanks :O
It's actually starting to interfere with my progress. Every time I win/purchase a new car the first thing I want to do is shoot it for some HDR experimentation!

There are some great shots in this thread.

This is my first HDR attempt with GT5 and I've only done HDR a few times in real life. It's not as good as some of these pics, but I like it.

oliver, i hate to dig at ya. but i think if you had a better location, HDR would come to you alot quicker/easier. the dark area is too dark and the light area is too light.

dont want to sound harsh but they say critism helps. keep at it and youll get better

Don't feel bad. Thanks for the advice. That's a great thing about nice forums. People helping people. :)

Also, keep in mind, you used a standard car, so it's never going to be as great as if it were a premium.
So the results aren't too bad considering 👍

Something about these pictures feels...off

can anyone tell me what? :nervous:

Especially this one, something just doesn't sit right with it to me, but i don't know what..

By the way, the red is reflections of an ad that's red.

hmm, i'll try lightening up the shadows and lowering the exposure brightness then

thanks :)

dice the first one looks good, white is abit of a pain to HDR but you did good.
second one just seems way to bright, as said adjust the tonemapping

Thanks for the tips supraking and juhaniman

Taking your advice, i went back to photomatix and messed around with the lighting and contrast, i found that my shadows ended up with a greenish, pixely tint, but i think i found the right combination of both

i also touched it up slightly in photoshop too.

Also, supraking, you're right, white is a pain to HDR properly
