Any hints, advice? Anything would work.

Hmm. My advice is to use the Ocean Beach hospital. I've successfully completed the paramedic missions 3 times from there.

As you get to higher levels, my advice is to pause you game as soon as you leave the hospital and look at your map. Examine where the patients are, remember that you can only take 3 at a time and plan your route from there. For example if there's 3 people with a few hundred yards of each other on Ocean Beach, then pick them all up on the same run. Basically, look at your map and figure out what's the most sensible way of picking up 3 people at a time who are near each other and so you don't end up with 3 people left who are all over the place.

I did it in ocean beach also-- if you look at the map you will see that it is possible to cut over to the beach on the east side pretty fast (a few turns and then cut through an alley and where it reaches the beach keep going straight through the bushes and there is a break in the wall-- I found this was the fastest way to cut over to the beach where a fair amount of patients end up. Just plan out your routes well-- I also advise you before you start to use a chainsaw and remove the back doors of the ambulance--this will shave off a couple seconds that you might need. Also realize if you flip the ambulance you can upright it pretty easily.

I also recommend you read the paramedic FAQ at http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/33074.html -- it gives you some good advice and also is pretty funny (you won't get most of the jokes unless you have tried and failed the mission a few times though).

Most of the patients spawn fairly close, I did have a couple spawn on prawn island though

Yeah, Ocean beach is over where you start Cortez' missions?

Just refreshing my memory...

And BTW, thanks for the help, everyone.

That's a third vote for Ocean Beach - although I find the hospital with the easiest access is the one at Vice Point.

A lot of the patients at Vice Point hospital spawn on the beach, with some at that little western loop past the hotel and one or two on Prawn Island. Ocean Beach is easier for patient grouping, but Vice Point is easier for hospital access.

But the one thing you must make sure to do is don't run the patients over... And be careful on the beach as the ambulance could flip very easily.

I tired it a few days ago and got it straigh away (ok 2nd go, first time i ran over a patient on the beach on L5). I found it very easy and strangly relaxing. I might do iut again ijn a few days.

BTW The ambulance handle like an absalute dream IMO. It just goes so well. I didn't use ocean beach I used vice point. I found it very easy and I had one downtown guy and that almost lost me, I dropped him off with 19 seconds! It was only 'cause i tried getting back the same way i can - the ambulance didn't like that way so i had to go all the way around.

I read that and it said never go full throttle, - I do not understand as the ambulance is fine at full throttle? Or is it just my amazing driving skillz
