Welcome to GTP Skyler, this is a big site with a good number of regular members. One of the big things on here is to be yourself. Alternate online personas where members have claimed they worked for big car companies, drove flashy cars and what not have been de-bunked in the past plenty of times. If you don't drive a flashy car or earn tonnes of money theres no shame in being yourself, all the best members on here are.

Lets hope you enjoy the site and get plenty of use out of it and get to know the members well 👍.

Well, I may be an old crotchety Auto News/ Cars in General troll, but I'm always happy to see a new face around. I do have to suggest hanging around in the Rumble Strip, I'm kinda sad it took me so long to do it. I'm either here or in the aforementioned car threads, as I'm not here too often for the GT anymore.

...This does bring up an interesting thought...

Should we do a GTPlanet "Watch List" for all the noobies around here? Just a thought...

So yeah, some of us are a little intimidating, but most of us are nice. I'd suggest keeping out of some of the flame wars that occur quite frequently at first. They can get a little silly with some of the members here.

...Did I miss anything important? Oh yeah, have fun, and don't smother us with noobsauce (I used noob twice in this, I must be having a mental breakdown) too often. We don't like that. Simple conversation is all we ask for.

So yeah, welcome to GTP. Hope you enjoy the stay. We're kinda like Wysteria Lane, only we do without the crazy chicks (for the most part).
