That's the calculator I have. And most importantly, it has an 'i', so I can write loads more rude stuff. :sly:

It is possible the best calculator I've ever owned. It's something worth bragging about. Most of my classmate's calculators can't do fractions like this one can. :D

And it can solve equations, most usefully, quadratic equations. Makes my life so much easier.

I used to have a calculator... I still do, but it doesn't work (it's not broken, just has dead batteries), and I'm too lazy/stingy to replace the batteries.

:grumpy:
How did I never hear about this? I've been in love with history since elementary school, so much so that I'm working towards a minor now in American History (already knowing a fair amount of what the professors are teaching me), I'd of loved to of at least try it out 5 years ago

This is actually only the second year they've done it. Sucks that they didn't have it earlier, though.

We can't use graphing calculators.

Best calculator on earth allowed in schools. Solves quadratics, solves single variables, does table of points for any kind of graph and more.

Mine does letters though. :sly:

Provided excellent entertainment when I had a spare 20 minutes in the Physics mock I had on Tuesday. Writing 'BOOBIES' never fails to entertain...

Well, one. We've done the calculator mock. Some time in January I think we're doing the non-calculator mock. There was a Science mock last year too, but I missed that because I was in BTEC at the time.

Strange, we only have one maths mock next week and then the actual GCSE at the end of the year, both calculator ones.

To be honest, my calculator is carrying my entire grade. I had a 75% at midterms, and now a 86%. I screwed up the first two tests. The reason being is that i make an insane amount of stupid mistakes, so I enter everything into my calculator and get the answer. Not to brag, but I am pretty damn good at math. I often participate in math contests and yield good results. Its just stupid mistakes that lower my mark.

Get yourself one of these: Casio FX 115 ES Plus.

Watch out for those types of girls. They tend to cause lots of problems. I guarantee you that you will end up being the small spoon. That "I don't take crap from anyone" attitude might slap you right across your face. Sure she shares a lot of interests and looks good, but with those come consequences, such as being high maintenance.

Having a partner whos a complete opposite person works amazingly well. My GF and I make up for eachother's weaknesses, and been together for almost 1 year.

If a girl says eww, gets snobbish or ignores you, thank her for saying no. Those girls are the typical girls who end up screwing up their life. You haven't done anything wrong by asking them out. Simply put, they are 🤬

Your physical appearance should not be hindering you, man. I'm not that fit looking. I'm muscular as hell, but with a layer of fat overtop. I'm not ugly, but I'm also no model. The girl should like you for who you are, not for who you become for her. If you get rejected, so what? You tried, she didn't like you. Its better than her not rejecting and then breaking up after finding out that she was never really into you. Ask her out. If she rejects you, its ok, you just move on. There's 7 billion people in the world man, there's gotta be at least more than one nice chick.

On the other hand, if she accepts, I'll be proud of you.

Don't wait. The later you do this, the longer she has to find a guy she likes/moves on. Go and get her tommorow!

I don't know man, I just get reallllyyyy nervous.

I've come to absolutely hate my geometry class, I always finish things easy because I a tally pay attention and understand it and everybody thinks I'm a genius because of it. Then they all ask for help or answers and I just want to tell them to **** off...

Also I find that in tech, there's about half the class that doesn't do anything all day and just talks in the theory room all day while the other half actually works. I find it ridiculous that there's people who have the class who don't want it and say '**** it, I'm not doing anything' while I'm sure there's people who actually WANT auto tech but couldn't get it and we have all those idiots who don't do anything filling half the class. At least that means next year they probably won't be in my class anymore by the people I actually like (who actually work) will be the only ones I'm in that class with.

I absolutely hate those people. I don't mind if someone asks what you got in one question to compare answers, but the people who copy are the worst. In computing we were doing programming and the kid next to me is terrible at computing, but since I had finished the task he kept peering over at my computer screen to try and copy. Then that didn't work, so he typed the task into google, and then tried to copy and paste the first thing he found... :ouch:

Oh yay, two weeks of mocks starting next Monday... fun :grumpy: Oh and also have a French and Spanish speaking test mixed in, well bugger me. I hate mocks, simply for that fact that they're not going towards anything it gives me no motivation.

I finished my exams (the finals for this year) a few weeks ago. My French speaking went pretty well. I started on ghost towns (villes fantômes) and from there went to video games to piracy to discussing the best ways of listening to free music.

That's how awesome my French teacher is :D

Really? We get to talk about our school... yer creative I know :grumpy:

I am a :censored:ing idiot. I had a vocabulary quiz that I got back today that I got a 60 on because I did one side and didn't realize there was a back side. WHYYYYYY

I've done that before lol.

I got rejected from a college course for doing that once in the assessment.

For us, we had the speaking exam broken up into three parts: a speech, a short question/answer about said speech and then a general conversation.
The speech could have been anything that interested us, as long as it had a francophone connection. e.g. since my initial topic was ghost towns, I talked about a ghost town called Oradour-Sur-Glane (a French ghost town). One of my friends did marriage equality and mentioned its progress in France. And another did the French recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

After that, we held a conversation about said topic (for my presentation, one question my teacher asked was "Comment as-tu découvrir des villes fantômes?"). And for the final conversation, it was a longer one about various topics we did throughout the year such as environmental protection, piracy, media etc etc.

To my surprise, it flowed quite well. I got from ghost towns to video games because I first found out about them through COD4 :p.

That's why, before I even put my name on an assignment, I check for a staple and the back of any sheets that it consists of.

Just finished the SAT's. Still functional, but tired (Was at a friend's party last night, hit my head off of the back of a waterslide... and my neck is still stiff.)

So here are my predicted grades by the end of June.

English - B
Maths - C
Science (Core and Additional) - C
Geography - C
Spanish - B
ICT - C
Business - A* (Should be achieved by the end of the week, also it's a two GCSE equivalent as it's a BTEC)

I already have a BTEC (only one GCSE this time) in Science to a pass which is the equivalent to a C Grade.

A bit off topic but back when i was doing my o levels a guy was copying my answers, which i didnt know about and it turned out he copied my name down and my subject, obviously i was furious because the board had said i wernt allowed to take an exam with that board for a year. Now i look back and laugh

First day of my mocks, 4 exams in a day! :grumble:
History went tits up, Section 1 was brilliant, as detailed as possible but alas I didn't leave enough time to do Section 2 and 3 detailed enough.
French listening and reading exams were a doddle, foundation really is too easy for me. Finally the French speaking test which is my bane however my teacher said she can probably scrape me a C so all in all not bad 👍
