I must commend you. You've managed to surpass everyone I know in your perceived superiority. In other words, you're an elitist *****.

And I believe you missed a comma in your almost flawless grammar. :)

Actually, quite a few.

Shannon, it is better to be silent and thought of as a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. Now, either you have something to type, or not. Either way, there is no way you can waver my decision in Friederich Nietzsche's flawless and genius insight to the world.

Not so superior now, are you? As my English teacher once quoted: "It is not by the grammar which determines a mans' intelligence, but by the questions that he shall ask."

Now (note giant comma), what do you have to say about that, Thealosia?

[edit]

And just so you know, nothing is flawless. There is only opinion.

Oh Shannon, your miniscule intellect could not properly comprehend the ideas and philosophy that our dear Thealosia puts forth. What you see as ego is actually his extraordinary existance through the 'Superman' theory put forth by the genius of geniuses, Friederich Nietzsche. Who are we to question his perfect perspective and insight into the world? Even though its totally not even at all relevant to what we were talking about earlier?

Seriously, why not take action as a realist and read his book instead of belittliing on one of his supporters? It has nothing to do with anarchy. Anarchy is the definition of absolute chaos, disorder and misery.

Nietzsche merely says it is foolish that man promotes law because labeling the ethics of any kind of action will not help, it will only make matters worse because people crave and exaggerate the values of what they cannot obtain. Thus, when the law says it is wrong to kill, do not do it. It only promotes the craving to such events that you would read in a newspaper. If the court had chosen to forgive a condemned man out of random he would be so grateful to the verdict that he would treat his newly obtained luck with as much caution as possible. Not to repeat his own history.

Thus history must be repeated because the law is still for the breaking. This is how society will developed by ignoring his inner most structure, the conditioned belief systems of society to being his own individual. Some people murder simply because they WANT to be different, it is the law that keeps us all inside the lines, and such, we are herded as sheep. They think of such complexities as to what kind of adrenaline is equal to the act and reaction of murder? What kind of accomplishment would it feel like to break the law? If the law was not there, there would be no accomplishment or anything to break. If a man walked up to a stranger and said: "See that man who is dead on the street? I did it! I am killer!" The stranger would look back and say: "So what? You didn't break anything, your nothing special, if you wash you car I won't care about that either." The killer would simply resent the fact that he has received no attention for his 'evil' deed. The first thing law breakers want when they are arrested is to read the newspaper for their 15 minutes of fame.

It's funny, I don't feel any urge to kill people even though it's against the law. Just the same, I feel no urge to go spraypaint my neighbor's Lexus green because *that* is against the law.

If the court had chosen to forgive a condemned man out of random he would be so grateful to the verdict that he would treat his newly obtained luck with as much catuion as possible. Not to repeat his own history.
There have been many sex offenders who have been arrested, charged, and let go multiple times. In the end, they just did the crime over and over. Teenagers constantly get let go with nothing more than a "slap to the wrists" so to speak. Many end up just their crimes again regardless. Some people don't learn from their actions or choose not to. It's that simple. If I wanted

I've had a close family member in jail for more than 4 years. Believe me, media coverage was the last thing on his mind.

And on that note, i'm off to bed.

Emad, wouldn't you agree based on experience, or have I just imagined it all? People who are tall always wish they were petite. People who have black hair wish they were blonde. Wouldn't you agree on a fundamental level that most if not some of the people tend to wish what they cannot have? Sex offenders!? Sex offenders! I am not discussing the mentally ill! Of course the mentally ill repeat their own history, they are psychotic obsessive compulsive people you idiot! I am discussing the everyday common man, like you or me. Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule. We should be the rule, and the law! Thus, the law itself is a hypocrit. Law to me is the essential platform of hypocrisy! It is wrong to kill unless it is for peace, land, money, or so called freedom then hell, we'll have a blood buffet! You read about business owners who are philanthropists towards the world that means nothing to them, but they increase poverty to their own employees and workers by giving them miniscule wages for long hours.

There would be no need for the law if people only attributed to their own needs. Universal peace is when people accept differences. It is when the world disagrees that the world will understand peace! Everyone will have a right to become his own individual, not sheep herded in a single spoken path. Every law is and should be as individual as the people themselves. The laws' resolution to find the world ugly and bad has made the world ugly and bad. Intuition is and should be a private substitute for both moral, and law. Each man would be his own individual and that in itself lies justice. Create your own laws! My own laws are:
{1. If you should kill anything, kill stupidity.
{2. People who say society has a basic dog psychology are dogs themselves
{3. Judge not yourself by your ideals and others by their mistakes, but learn from your mistakes and judge others by their ideals.
{4. Watching television is like taking your mind to McDonalds everyday.
{5. If I were to die, my idea of heaven is to live in a world filled with answers. The secrets of the universe!
{6. Only kill someone if someone has killed your spirit (which by my standard is more offensive than killing the flesh)

No. Not in the least, not me anyway.
Sex offenders!? Sex offenders! I am not discussing the mentally ill! Of course the mentally ill repeat their own history, they are psychotic obsessive compulsive people you idiot!
You mean murderers and robbers don't have something mentally wrong with them? There's nothing wrong with their brain, when they kill or mame, rape and pillage?

I am discussing the everyday common man, like you or me. Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.

So, and a monarchial/heirarchial/demotcratic etc. society, law/rule is insane? Or are you saying in large groups/nations that people become insane? Because both are riduculous, if you ask me.
We should be the rule, and the law!
Oh, so we each have our own set of laws, boundaries and morals? That's a smart one, you should get a Darwin award.

Thus, the law itself is a hypocrit.
No, you're the hypocrit. You're even being a hypocrit by calling someone else a hypocrit, you hypocrit.

Law to me is the essential platform of hypocrisy!
No, you're the hypocrit. You're even being a hypocrit by calling someone else a hypocrit, you hypocrit.

It is wrong to kill unless it is for peace, land, money, or so called freedom then hell, we'll have a blood buffet!
It's wrong to kill unless it is for peace. (check)
It's wrong to kill unless it is for land. (eeeeeeh)
It's wrong to kill unless it is money. (eeeeeeh)

wtf is wrong with you?

You read about business owners who are philanthropists towards the world that means nothing to them, but they increase poverty to their own employees and workers by giving them miniscule wages for long hours.
No real philanthropist in the 21rst century does that. You have get out of World War I, my dear.

There would be no need for the law if people only attributed to their own needs.
"I need meat. I'll go and slaughter my neighbours pet goat for food!"
"I need money. Maybe I'll just take some from that guy over there."
These examples could literally go on forever; I'm not eve sure how to put my thoughts into a complete sentence that accurately describes how I feel about how utterly wrong they are.

Universal peace is when people accept differences.
True. But mine is truer; Universal peace is the end of days.

It is when the world disagrees that the world will understand peace!
...and becomes frighteningly familiar with war, as well.

Everyone will have a right to become his own individual, not sheep herded in a single spoken path.
There's a word for that, you know. It's called "mayhem".

Every law is and should be as individual as the people themselves. The laws' resolution to find the world ugly and bad has made the world ugly and bad.
Oh. My. God. Not sure where to begin on this one. I need Duke. Duke? Hello? Duke? Bail me out here, I can't possibly shovel all this **** out myself.

Intuition is and should be a private substitute for both moral, and law.
Intuition is not a substitution for law and morality. Intuition is an unconfirmed sense that has yet to be pinpointed.

Each man would be his own individual and that in itself lies justice. Create your own laws!
I would, but you know, laws like "No bimbo's going on rants about stuff that doesn't makes sense" probably wouldn't appeal to you.

My own laws are:

{1. If you should kill anything, kill stupidity.
Since that's really someone's fault, right?

{2. People who say society has a basic dog psychology are dogs themselves
No, society has a basic human psychology. Duh.

{3. Judge not yourself by your ideals and others by their mistakes, but learn from your mistakes and judge others by their ideals.
What? What's this?! Somethine I agree to! Everyone, celebrate!

{4. Watching television is like taking your mind to McDonalds everyday.
Oops, nevermind, she's still her old self.

{5. If I were to die, my idea of heaven is to live in a world filled with answers. The secrets of the universe!
Like why people don't always like you? I'd like to know why you demean everyone. That'd be my heaven.

{6. Only kill someone if someone has killed your spirit (which by my standard is more offensive than killing the flesh)
If someone killed your spirit, would you have the spirit to kill?

Ok I would understand it if you said "we should not have laws, we should raise our children not to hate or hurt from the start" but that is a bit too idealistic. Some parents are crap and some people are crap despite their parents best efforts. It may be true that the taboo associated with some actions makes them a bit more desirable but if suddenly all consequences were eliminated total chaos would break out ("who wants a free TV?").

Can we get back to the topic at had? Or maybe it is best to just abondon this thread.

Thealosia
Of course, I am superior.

I have no morals, I can and will do whatever I (deleted) please.

Not on this site, you won't.

You'd think someone so superior would have learned by now the correct usage of the comma and how to spell "hypocrite".

So, you read a book and are attempting to look smart by using some of the bigger words in it, stretched to the very limits of their collective contexts? Guess you must be the big brain then.

Or should that be the "most excessively dimensioned cerebral mass"?

ChipMod - Although Gil alluded to the US system, I'm largely ignorant of it. In the UK, the highest award you can get from a "College" is an A-Level - the highest school-leavers' qualification, since Colleges are for 16-18 year olds - but they are awarded by examining bodies rather than the colleges themselves.

However, institutions exist which call themselves "College", but are subsidiaries of universities - Imperial College, London IS a university. Kings' College, Cambridge is part of Cambridge University.

Universities can award, in order of increasing educational level, Bachelor's Degrees (B.Sc., B.A., B.Ed and so on), Postgraduate certificates, Postgraduate diplomas (Dip. Ed., for example), Master's Degrees (M.Sc., M.A., M.Phil.) and Doctorates (Ph.D. - a doctorate generally outside the field of medicine - or doctorates in medical, dental or veterinary practice). They can then also award certification in specific disciplines which require a doctorate - such as general surgical certification, which requires a medical doctorate - and if they really like you, you can get a "Chair" - the highest award a University can give - after which you are entitled to call yourself "Professor".

This thread is done.

Thealosia, knock it off. and I'm talking about more than your attitude in this thread.

You do realize that I can check e-mails addresses and IP addresses, right?

Vialido.

Swear filter violations, attitude extrodinare, insulting other members, impersonations. The list goes on, and I haven't even looked beyond this thread. Consider this your final warning. Dump the attitude and the ego, or find a new forum.
