HighOctane Tuning Garage - All Caught Up And Updated! Accepting Tune Requests!!!

For a second I thought the Dacia Sandero was released as a DLC.

Good deal though, glad to see the tunes are good still, must be a pain to do that everytime there's an update.

I wish the Dacia was a DLC! It isn't so much of a pain really. I decided to take the time to revise tunes and see if I could make them better but they all seemed fine after a few laps. Those Ferrari's though... those were a real pain.

NOTE: Umm, Driftin. I think you already posted this car before. Why yes I did, that was the track version though. This is my first drift car that I made in GT6 and it is easily one of my favorites of all time. It is a bit on the heavy side but this is a light drift tune so this car has way more potential than what it has now. Please enjoy this and have fun!

NOTE: Okay, here is my special Z34. Why is it special? Well, back in GT5 I decided to write a story. A very "Initial D"-like story so keep that in mind. The main protagonist would be the driver of this car and be unstoppable. After coming back home after a few years, Shinji gets involved with a few street racers. He becomes notorious for having an amazing win record, people want to take him down. One day, he hears about a chance to go pro and the race would be four weeks away. Disaster strikes and he crashes his Z. The team he got involved with helped him repair his car for the race and it results in this. A 400 HP beast of a Z, lighter, more agile, a car that can make use of his skills. I never finished the story and probable never will. I believe the cars used in my story will become a series so expect more cars like this.

P.S. - When we get the Course Creator expect a re-made version of this. Perhaps the version of the Z before this.

New video for the tune!

Just did both the Mustang tunes, testing now.

Edit: Done testing.

Track:

Huge improvement over stock. Better handling, much less oversteer. However, customizing the transmission for better acceleration is my suggestion.

Drift:

Definitely no oversteer here! In fact, no countersteer at all. My first drift car ever and I scored over 2,500 points on Willow Springs on my second lap! Very well done, found a couple of different ways to drift (e-brake, or hard turning), and very beginner-friendly.

The track tune was meant to be a very light tune so I didnt feel the need for a custom transmission. If you need it though I can easily come up with something. :)

Hey DA, are the different tuning "tabs" working yet in GT6, or are they still changing all settings in each tab? For instance, on the mustang, did you have to tune 2 different cars, or can I apply the settings under A for Race and B for Drift?

I discovered (on accident) that A and B settings are independent from each other. It was just a quick glance but I can check it again to make sure. :)

EDIT: Nope. Things like Engine Tuning and Body Weight Reductions stay in place. If I take off Stage 1, for example, it does that all across the board. I hope this changes. :(

That would be nice, thanks. Been working on it myself as well.

Okay, I'll get working on it as soon as I get home. :)

As per request by @Dagger311, the RTR Track has been updated with a new transmission tune. I tried something new with this one so bear with me. The gears may seem a little short at first (and they are) so I would highly suggest you change the final ratio to fit different tracks. :)

EDIT: Didn't mean to double post mods that may be watching the thread! :ouch:

NOTE: I am back guys! Not totally back to 100% health but I am well enough to be here to give you guys a late batch of tunes. :) To kick it off, a replica (HP and weight only) of the Cappuccino seen in Initial D: Fourth Stage used by the Northern Saitama Alliances to try and defeat the unstoppable Project.D's AE86. I think it was episodes 11 and 12 if I remember correctly. In an intense rain battle this little Kei Car gave the AE86 driven by Takumi, the main protagonist, a really hard time. In the end, it lost by being passed on the final straightaway. I tried tuning this car so it works well both in dry and wet conditions. Believe me when I say this, this little car is fun to drive!

NOTE: To continue my series of my story cars I bring you the car driven by the character known as Reiko. Reiko acted as a form of support to Shinji but also as a love interest. Had to do something like this because I was bored and it's my story. :P She is the person who introduced Shinji to the street racing teams in the area and got him to actively race after he beat her going down her home course. I didn't get to far into the story so Reiko's character was never really developed unfortunately. :irked:

NOTE: Taro in my cancelled story was the leader of the team of street racers that Shinji, Reiko, and Amy belonged to. Rumor has it that he used to be a pro rally driver. No one has been able to confirm the truth but all we know is that he is insanely fast.

UPDATE: 2/22/14 - So I can finally stick a LSD on to Evo's and boy am I happy. :D Now the Evo handles better and doesn't slide around as much as it did with the AYC.

NOTE: This is based on the Honda NSX Type R "MAXX", but no where near as powerful, more of an average track day NSX tune.

NOTE: Finally to finish things off today is a new, and first, tune from my friend @jay*doc. The same person that gave me an excuse to tune a VW Beetle for you guys so you know this has got to be good. As stated in the note above this, this NSX was based off of my NSX MAXX tune. Take it out for a drive and I promise you that you won't be disappointed!

@DriftinAssassin I was just going to ask about an RX-7 too! Thats one of my favorite cars, I'll be tuning it now!

I took the MAXX and miniMAXX out for a photo shoot the other night, I've got a little editing, but I'll post them up here.

Okay guys, the tune list has been updated with the latest batch of tunes! Should have done it a long time ago but hey. :) I also want to take this time to announce that I will be spending some time again to check tunes if they need updating so tune requests will be down again while I work of fixing old tunes. Shouldn't take much time but I will need to focus on those. I've also decided that tunes that have been updated with have a U to mark that it has been updated. Also, I believe I may post one tune this Sunday because I think it would be cool to have a Super Bowl day tune. To give you a hint, the American Muscle will tame Germany. ;) Thank you guys for the awesome support and sticking with me during sickness and having to update to a new version! :gtpflag:

Great thread you have got going! I would love to see an all-around Toyota Supra RZ track tune.

I would love to but money is tight a bit so I'd have to go and earn it. Taking that route means I'd have to unlock that event by doing the X2014 Standard Championship. By doing that, I'd have to deal with incredibly stupid AI that get on my nerves so much that I quit the championship about FIVE times now. I'll try but I'd rather not for those reasons. I'll get back to you on that.

EDIT: P.S. - Tune requests are also currently closed as I am working on updating tunes to 1.04. @Megalodon as soon as I have finished I will get to work on it if the AI decides to smarten up. :)

EDIT 2: NOPE. Not dealing with it. Not dealing with it until PD work on the stupid AI. Friggin unbelievable.
