Camaro should be in the 1:15:XXX -1:13:xxx RANGE!

Yeesh for group 2????? It's either that Comaro is 500 PP or I completely fail at the game.

I like the Wild Card this weekend, then a week off. That will give us 2 weeks without points, everyone can get lots of practice, and we can hope for a server patch!

Is it decided how we are deciding on the track for the Wild Card?

Edit: and don't let Kal intimidate ya with his 'super Camaro' lap times, I ran the G2 Z28 all last season, my best to date at the Forest is in 1:16's

Thanks for that Mudd it's appreciated after Kal's slap to the face:ouch: On the nicer side I am probably not going to make it this weekend because I'm going to the Barret Jackson car auctions. Going to be taking lots of pics of muscle car for you guys to drool over:drool: Also might have to sell the good ol' Sky so can bid on a few:)

 to be honest, I havn't been recording times with my 530 SS practice, I simply judge how well my laps are by the amount of dents and dirt on my fenders after each lap! :sly:

Oi, I was thinking Stock fully tuned Camaro with RS. I do know I have turned 1:14 ish with the 540pp on SS when I was trying to get a baseline to tune the Challenger with.

Ah ha! So there was no frame of reference. Stop scaring the new comers.

Anyways, score board is updated.

Must have messed your math up man, no way I could have that many points with two races DNF compared to everyone else who has had no connection issues.

Your still getting points for finishing last when your involuntarily getting booted mid-race, which given the current condition of the Gt5 server, seems pretty fair. I've been following the points closely due to my slim chance of beating a couple of you guys, and I havn't caught any mistakes in Skel's math. If you look closely at the points, it's your multiple pole positions that have put you past myself and Titus, Kal. It appears I've got my consistency down, so I guess I'll be aiming for better qualify times from this point on! (Que. the 'Jaws' music) :trouble:

Guys, awesoem idea for wild card.

We each make a track, not to long or short, worth of atleast a 10 minute race doing 5 or so laps, then on the wild card event we each run our tracks with no practice no nothing. (only have practice on our own tracks that are made) that way the person who makes the tracks has a advantage on home turf.

And we all decided on what cars to use for all the tracks.

Thoughts?

I like that idea Kal. Along with other random miscellanus activities.

I also 2x checked the scoring.. again. And it all adds up. I think taking pole 3 out of 4 races (15 points) is what's keeping you in the lead. Only 3 pts separate 1st thru 3rd.

I also 2x checked the G2 scoing, because that is rediculous how far ahead you are. But it is what it is.

Slight possibility I won't be around this weekend. But I'll do my best to make it this week.

Not an issue. I do want to thank everyone who has been quite punctual on attending the racing events. The fact we are a small group makes it much more successful in my eyes. I notice we all also seem to congregate in the same rooms online as well.

For those who do not place as high all the time please don't get discouraged. Simple fact is I for one, have spent perhaps too much time with the cars I use and the game itself (GT in general as well). I value everyones attendance regardless of performance. Even though I wish for more people, I would not give up the group we have now.

Speaking of which, I know I will not be hosting on July 8th. I am flying to Florida to see the last Shuttle Launch. I will of course bring back video or pictures if wanted.

Also Also wik, This Friday, I will be taking my car on the Tail of the Dragon for the first time. Cannot wait.

Well, since I finally figured out how to post, figure I'd share a pic of my real vintage racer! Actually, not much of a real racer, but she sure looks like it. Number's matching original '79 Z28, only thing I changed was the addition of a pair of Flowmasters.

Jealousy at it's finest for me Kal. Always wanted to go there after reading about it in a mag a whole ago.

Is this thing still on? Or is there going to be another series? I was hoping to join.

Still on my friend. Your welcome to join us (well maybe not me) this Sunday. Check the OP on times.

PAWEL, this weekend is a wildcard exhibition races that don't count for points, but there is other prizes at stake that you will be eligible to win. The weekend after is a holiday weekend and no events are scheduled. So, in about 2 weeks is when the next official races will be. The OP will fill you in on the details on the 2 groups. You can participate in either one, or both (recommended). Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

Speaking of this weekends activities, how exactly are we running them? I've heard a few different ideas, but I havn't heard for certain any kind of layout for the races. I gotta figure out a method of awarding prizes, too. Watcha think, racers?

Guys glad to hear the schedule change for the next 2 weeks as I will not be available. Should be back for the July 10th races.

Mudd, LOVE the ride, very nice. I'll have to pull out some pics of my old '77 T/A and post them.

I like the track creator idea. Do a 5-6 lap sprint at each person's track. Who's ever track we run at, it's their choice on all the rules. Cars, tires, pp, etc. If you want to put everyone in a VW "hippie" bus on comfort hard tires in the rain with out aids including ABS for example.... I hope I'm around, I might just do that. The tracks do NOT have to be paved either.

As far as prizes. The "Prize Commitee" (Mudd) will figure out the details.

Yea, I assumed the 'committee' would be responsible for deciding the prizes, just wanted to make sure we had some sort of race format for winning them. The created tracks sound fun, though I'm gonna have to get to work on that, as I have none yet. Keep in mind, if your gonna pick various cars to race, we gotta make sure they are cars everyone has. I'm gonna assume any type of 'Muscle Car' race would be no problem for this group, as far as available cars. I'm not sure everyone's gonna have a Delorean available, so keep that in mind, McFly. :p

You can do one make races. Host chooses a car from the "recommended" garage everyone has to pick. Or I call it the "rental car garage". We've already done this with the Shelby Cobra's, Fiat 500's, and lets not forget the Prius'.

...yeeaaa...I was pretty much just looking for an excuse to call you 'McFly'... :dopey:

Guys, Guys, Seriously you Guys,

My Day was ******* Epic...

So much more yet to be uploaded too.

Have to say it was fun. Even with the wet roads, hellacious storm we went through on the "SkyWay" involving some serious Hail and cloud cover. In total we drove the Dragon three times up and down had fun. I really need to install my beefier rear sway bar link ends as after this tour my passenger side has yet again, popped out. Guess 24.5 mm rear bar (use to be 15mm) will do that.

I had great fun in the few races I was able to run in the inaugural season and registered interest for this one, but have not attended yet this season as the
OP has no dates scheduled. I evidently completely missed the first race day and then received a message from kal that the room was opening as I was playing games with my son on Father's day. Now it appears racing has been suspended for two weeks?

I have subscribed to the thread, but it would make it so much easier to be a reliable participant if the OP had an actual race schedule with dates if at all possible? I miss that rumble at the back of the pack... :)

Having WAY too much fun with the track creator, guys! :D

Better make sure you've all got dirt tires for your Group 2 cars!

@Learnigcurves: The OP doesn't list any dates because it states that we race EVERY Sunday, lobby opens between 7:00 and 8:00 EDT. We will be racing tonight, but not for championship ponts. There will be prizes to win tonight, though. The only weekend we are not racing is on July 3rd, because of the U.S. holiday most of us are unavailable. Hope to see you racing with us again.

FYI, You should not have to share your tracks. When it comes time to use your track, just select your course yourself from the menu.

As Mudd state, I did not post dates cause it has been, and will be every Sunday unless said so. Putting alot of dates in the post where Every Sunday between 7-9 est fits seems useless.

We have not been strict in any form about anyone joining, and making sure to be in the races. This season is purely for fun but with the scoring has a competitive edge to it as well. I personally enjoy knowing atleast bare min, I can always find several people that I do not have to worry about driving lines, morals, and whatever else. I just have to watch out for who is behind or front of me.
