Well, I was going to link you guys to Spoon and ask "WTF?" when I saw that my total price was $375. Then I looked to the left and saw a "1". I mean, damn. You know how much crack a brotha gotta push to afford them rimz?

Anyway, nice EP, even though I'm not a huge fan of that generation. It looks great and I'm sure it goes pretty well too. 👍

$375 per wheel is cheap, considering their resale value is around $1200+ for a set (depending on condition).

I couldn't find them. I guess I'm retarded.

*edit
Anyone know of a good EUROPEAN Prelude/Honda forum I can join? ALL of these US-based forums are too full of ricers and crackers for my taste. I find Europeans much more civilized.

I don't know about the whole of Europe, but England seems to be the ricer capitol of the world.

@JCE3000GT - Theres a UK Prelude forum I use to be a part of. Good guys and really helpful, although I can't understand half the slang they use (knickers?! WTF!?). I don't know if I agree with you about the US sites (Texas Prelude club has a great site) but I mostly posted on my local forum (Toronto Prelude Club).

@showoff3civic - Nice video, especially the sound. How far into the red do you take that thing?! Also...Can I drive it? Or atleast rev it to 10,000 rpms just once?!

yeah it goes mid 13's on street tires

the volk time attacks im looking at are around 500 a wheel

Please don't tell me you're doing that often on the stock bottom end? You're running over the 8k redline, and I've seen a fair share of blown bottom ends due to over-revving.

PS. Your CEL is showing. ;)

yeah i run it over the 8600 all the time its not the stock A3 its a k20a2.. race header give me the cel because the o2 sensor. peak hp isnt until 8200 rpms

gauge cluster for US SI 6800 rpm redline

Engine/Drivetrain:
k20a2
6 speed
injen SRI
DCRH
Mugen twinloop Exhaust
Kpro
Skunk2 cams
BC ti valve spring retainers
BC vavle springs
RBC Intake manifold
Hondata IMG
Karcepts adaptor plate
Throttlebody, adaptor plate, and intake manifold all maxbored out to 65mm.

I already knew what engine it is. The stock redline on a K20A2 is 8,000.

stock bottom end can hold 9k shifts but the valve springs are not strong enough to hold it. V2P contact because of the weak springs alot of my freind are running 8900-9000 on stage2 cams

My bud with an '03 K20A2 in his ES2, blew the bottom end out of it due to over-revving. He built the valvetrain up nicely with Toda parts, and had the redline set to 9,000 with his K-Pro. About 4 months after the building process and tuning, he went to an autocross event, and spun a bearing in cylinder 2 and snapped the wrist pin in cylinder 3. He ended up pulling the engine out, and throwing in new sleeves, and a completely new bottom end.

Hmm...is that a K-series thing, or are these Honda motors just not up to those RPMs in stock form? I figured my B16 would go to 9k if I just put in some stronger springs.

BTW, nice badge, Matt.

b16 = small lightweight componants.

Id imagine that the K series is just a bigger engine with a larger rotating mass, which is just harder to get rotating as reliably as fast as a smaller B series engine.

I suppose. But if you build them like a race motor the K will spin waaay up there. Spoon's car peaked at about 11 but usually shifted at 10 in the BM videos.

Your Premium badge. I just noticed it today.

A B18C5 will go 9000rpm completely stock with no trouble, same with a B16B. There's no point to it, since the power's long gone by then, but they can do it.

Just because theres no point, doesn't mean it shouldn't be done atleast once. Either by accident or on purpose, its still badazz!

I'm bringin sexah back ya'll!

I was just talking to a friend and he says that some random guy showed up at the spot one night and hes all like OMG I just saw the most awesome car... So he pulls out his phone and shows a pic...

I found some guy with that same pic of it on his myspace to...
I think I may have you confused with someone else then.

I thought you had a green eg civic hatchback, and a old red ef.

EDIT: That is a nice car though:tup:
