What kind of body mods did you have in mind?.. I think a subtle hood scoop (oem off center one from the FC) would look pretty cool and quite simple to achieve.

Just opening up the front air dam area and grinding down the front lip so it's not scraping the ground.

Cheers! man, the mirrors on that Z432 look perfect! as does the whole car (mine seem way too large in comparison). Do you have anymore pics of your mates Z ? i'd love to see more of it.

Yup:

I do remember that Z from long ago. 👍 I am partial to fender mirrors. Good luck on painting your cars guys. They look really good so far!

I asked my dad to grab me a can of paint stripper while he was at Lowe's and he came back holding the "early Christmas present" of the new Kobalt Double Drive screwdriver set. :D

And Sir Ford, that Z is looking fabulous. Nice and tastey, just how I like 'em.

Hmmm, Krazy Glue seems to be working ok. I wasn't able to get rid of the slice marks on the sidewalls, but unless someone can come up with some similar sized tires that fit perfectly, these will just have to do.

Edit: And at the current ride height of the car, the front splitter is almost touching the ground. Will need to grind that down somehow without ruining the paint. Although I may have to repaint the car as I accidentally got a smidge of krazy glue on the paint. :(

Working on the Custom Post now. Want it included?

Crappy photo though.

I can snap another one quickly and get it to you in about 5 minutes.

Edit: Well I thought it would be better. My camera is so 🤬 crappy. :yuck:

Make sure you note that it's a "work in progress".

'Bushido blade' progress:

Just need to flatten/smooth-out the wing mirror surfaces (hopefully they won't break :nervous:) now, then weather permitting (spraying outside) it will be finally ready for primer.... at last

Looking cool! Can't wait to see it sprayed. 👍

Progress on the Mini has not advanced. The weather has been too bad to take it outside to strip the paint, and there's no way I'm doing it inside. It's still sat on my desk in the same state it was last time I showed you all. I think I picked the wrong time of the year to be doing this! :grumpy:

Mad props to you for sculpting those mirrors.

Does a metal base make modifications any more/less difficult?

I think I've picked out my first modification project. That being the '76 Chevy Monza

You're breaking out a real, vintage Monza? Are you gonna restore it?

Also yes, much harder to pop the axles loose on a metal base.

Dad cut the prongs off the base with small wire cutters. It was as easy as cutting the plastic bases..

Trust me, it depends of the era year of the car you're taking apart. He sez he's breaking apart a Monza. Some cars from that time had like a dab of solid metal, like they poured a drop of zamac, over the axle:

Others have very sturdy prongs over the axle. Not easy to remove at all.

You haven't worked with old cars, dude.

No, not a vintage Monza! One of the new Monza's from the Flying Customs series.

Unless that's what you meant.

I think he's talking about the Flying Customs Monza he got recently there Cano if my mind serves me right.

Just finished detailing this Goat.
I must say, this has to be my most satisfying detail to date. :D

Pulled these wheels off the Atari GMC Motorhome and they fit and look perfect.

I painted the indicator lights, headlight bezels, headlights, spoiler, lower intakes, and grille inserts.

Painting quality is a little sub-par for my standards here on the back, but it's still better than before.
Obviously here I painted the bumper, tailights, and reverse lights.

Thank you. ;)

Maybe me saying that at my Kmart there is a stand with over a dozen of each model will take the sting out of it a bit? :P

My Toys R Us, Kmart, and Walmart are a joke. Seriously.

Those Atari cars ain't going anywhere, so when I have some spare cash, I'd be more than happy to send you the set. ;)

Yeah, I just recently picked up a second Flying Customs Monza with the intent of modifying it. I'm gonna be on the look out for Mesh/Laced wheels to put on it.

Will also try to paint it in a livery similar to the original racing cars.

EDIT:

Probably go for this, albeit without the Budweiser logo. Only because my fine hand brush work is rusty and I was never that good to begin with.

Man, that'll look real nice.

Do you have all the proper tools to complete it?

Nope. I have modelling brushes and modelling spray paint for the basecoat. All of my modelling paints are hard plastic now, though. And I don't know what kind of drill is necessary for removing the base, nor what materials are needed for re-adding the wheels and axles.

You don't "paint" that stuff over the paint, you print it on water-decal paper and apply the decal before you clear-coat the car.

Thanks Cano 👍, your friends Z432 looks awesome!, really like the stacked exhaust and the other touches (aerial etc). It's got me thinking.. how much easier it would have been for me to start with the Z-Whiz as a base, instead of the car i used. :indiff:  I'm thinking of copying the aerial (not extended) and also adding a bonnet badge after seeing this.

Thanks a6m5 👍, For me it's going to take more than good luck when it comes to painting... it's gonna take a miracle.

The Dr doesn't know about the Z... if he did, he'd have me placed under heavy sedation.
Cheers Zach 👍, Cool roadster on the Lamley blog BTW (really great customs this week), and the detailing on the Goat looks awesome too, as does the wheel choice. 👍

Cheers Katiegan 👍, the weathers been pretty dismal here too, just waiting on an unlikely sunny afternoon to raise the temp a bit... otherwise i ain't spraying anything until next year. :grumpy:

Mad props to you for sculpting those mirrors.
Cheers man 👍, they're not exactly how expected them to turn out TBH, be i'm still fairly pleased with the results.

I kinda want to make a car with a big Wu-Tang Clan logo on it. What vehicle do you guys think would suit that best?
