I have thousands, all scratched and stuff...some made to look like accidents and stuff...

Fun to play with at school and stuff...

Yeah, I've got at least 10,000 that I just moved here. They've been stored away for so long...maybe I should get out that old playset and play with 'em...:D

Yes! It sounds like I was much easier on my toys than some of you...mine are all in perfect condition (with the exception of some paint worn off by over-use). :)

Me and my grandpa collects em. I started collecting with him so we could spend more time together. We have alot of fun driving all over the place lookin for the little buggers.

Yea I have the Hotwheels City(TM) thingys...3 of em and I love playing with those...You slide the car from the top, and it rolls down to the middle level, and then around to the bottom. They have car shops or car washes and all that...me and my bro would set up car meets with the same type of cars, and even junkyards...hours of fun.

I'll have them forever...I'm a man of 15 years, but while I don't play with them like a little kid, I do at times take a few out for a spin...last time I really played with them was with a race track set, with the motor thingy that pushes them down the track...we set up a huge downhill from the Ping pong table to the floor, with th motor jiged up to an adapter(supposed to be batterys...screw that)on the table...the result was a huge car jump, some cars actually flying from the top and landing on the track at the bottom and driving off...then we sent the simis and buses lol...they didn't make it down the track...

This was late last year...

Jordan: No way YOU were more careful than me. When I was 12, I built shelves in my room and put about 550 of these cars all over. Not just Hot Wheels, but Matchbox and Majorette (it was Guam...), too.

I think I cleaned them almost weekly...they were sparkling. Lately, though, it's turned to crap. I haven't seen one of my Hot Wheels since...four years at least.

MazKid: I bought an Indy-style orange and blue track with those foam motor things several years back...most fun I'd had in a while ;)

yea, that's what I got M5...and I have the older style grey hard plastic track that clicks together...with rises and dips and stuff...and interchange ramps(they are strain aways with turning ramps that overlay the strait, and then a cable thingy with a switch that raises and lowers the ramp), brakes(straits with a rubber pop up middle thingy, controlled by the same switch thingy as the turn ramps)and even a chicken coup(it's like a barn with a chicken crossing, the chickens mount on little moving thingys, and when you wind the thing up, they cross the road and back, then when a car comes they are hit off of the mounts and go flying via the force of the car lol)...lots of cool pieces and stuff...

i got three of my prized possessions....

1.A Scott Hall (yea the wrestler)Chevy chevelle ss...
it has black paintjob with NWO all over it.....

2.1970 plymoth barracuda

3.63 corvette stingray

yea im still lookin for a viper and a challenger one but i keep all my hotwheels in their boxes

My collection contains 1,500 (est.) vehicles in my collection, and the problem was, it was divided into three places (Manila, Phils.; Annabella,UT; & Orlando,FL)

i can remember my matchbox cars...i lit one up, shot a few others, hit them with hammers and i soldered 3 together once to make a limozine

hot wheels cars rule.

oh and if you like hotwheels, get test drive 5 and use the chevy chevelle. you can get a flame paintjob and it looks like a hot wheels car.

I bought some just about 5 months ago. There all ones that are in GT3. I think I must have been board or something and felt like spending some money. There all still in there boxes and I think I will keep them that way.

Yea I use to burn, hammer, vise, all that to cars....it's fun when you burn a color-changer, they get really light lol...

I had them as a kid and collected them right up untill about 2 years ago, ended up getting into R/C. Still buy the odd one that I like though, must have about 150ish:)

i remember them, dip em in water and they changed colours. they rocked.

there was a set i got when i was 15 that had about 10 cars (classics) and they were all plain white and you got a decal set of about 100 stickers. i did up some sweet customs with an airbrush but my mum ran em over in her car. i went spaz and kicked one of the door panels in. i got roasted.

Lol, a friend and I used to put hotwheels and similar cars we didn't like in the road and hide so we could see them get flattened by real cars. I hate to think now what a sharp bit of metal could have done to someone's tyres:)

Mr pushrod-I did the same wthing on several occasions...would put a full line out across the road....several cars and even a Swan's truck ran over them, but this mean lady in a van stopped and started looking for us(we hid on the front porch behind some now gone bushes)...anyway she left and we picked our cars up.

Also my bro would crush them on the drive way with his '87 626...he would also park on one, the floor it and the pieces of the car(or cars...)would shoot out.

I'd just use the grill...just stick a twig in there, pull it out, light some leafs and set it on there...

Or WD-40...the best was when I took a peice of erector set, and set it across the gap beween 2 bricks...then put leafs under the erector set peice, the car(or cars) on top, lit the leafs, and then used the WD-40 to really heat things up. You can use WD-40 as a blow torch too lol, just spray at the fire, and then lift the can while still spraying, you end up with a fireball in mid air, and you can hold it there for, well, ever. And so I had this fire going, and I would take the victom car, put it on a brick next to one of the other bricks, and zoom it across the "Bridge of Burnage"(corny, but that was the name), sometimes the wheels would just melt and the car would be stuck, in the middle of the bridge, and burned untill we(me and my bro) could get it out with a stick or something.

Last time either of us burned stuff was last week lol...my bro had to get ready for his graduation seremony, and closed his door, and took out a lighter(hell if I know where he got it, he doesn't smoke or anything...just to burn stuff I guess...)and began to torch a car...then mom opened the door, he threw the evidence into the bath tub, and my mom found it ofcourse, and the room stunk...mom threw the contriband away(I was going to retrieve the car from the trash...but I didn't get a chance to, and that's desgusting... He really didn't get into trouble, just the stuff was thrown away.

At times we are just nuts...pretty funny times though.

I ahev an entire crate of 'em. I have some in the boxes because they costsed so much, I'll save 'em. Alot of the cars I smashed with a hammer to make accidents and then play with them with lego people. :D

ah, hot wheels. still going strong with them right now, its the only thing I really colect, altough over here we dont get the special editions (not the trwasure chasers, those get here) but the collectors editions. they can be found, but for a big price. I have about 1000 little cars, many of them from my childhood, when I spent countless hours playing with them with my cousins, in some city sets we had. yeah, we smashed, burned them too... some8 years ago I really began to collect and take care of them. sadly, over here in mexico, old ones are HARD, and I mean it, HARD to find. altough we had a factory over here, and many cars were released in mexican market only (some of them worth more that 1000 dollars mint, now), finding old stuff is tough. we dont have conventions, e-bay and that kinda stuff. so its been hard for me to really bring my collection up, but I have been able to find some old models in some markets and stuff like that. (my cousins had some too, I stole them (: )
I love hot wheels, because what they do best are hot rods... weird custom creations with a huge amount of excesses... I just LOVE their designs. no other toy company in the world can produce as cool, detailed, well designed 1:64 scale cars like hoy wheels do... and at that price. they are just the best there is at what they do.
