BlackZ28I havent had any trouble. 10+ hours. PGR3 is 720p.
Viper ZeroEngadget, Xbox Scene, and Team Xbox are all reporting Xbox 360 systems crashing with numerous games.
That's not quite the thing...iceburns288Well, 4 X360s breaking down out of 1.3 million isn't bad.![]()
So, let me get this straight. I've read all your other pissing and moaning posts in other threads. As I understand it, you're mad at this because the actual resolution the game is being output to the video scaler isn't full 720p??? Is that right??? WHO GIVES A CRAP!!!!! Its just a number. They could be putting the game out at 640x480, I don't care. The game looks great, and is very fun game.Viper ZeroFirst, it was Microsoft itself that pledged that all 360 games would support 720p. When a top-tier game does not support the 720p resolution of 1280x720, that concerns me a great deal.
When I have spent several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on a HDTV monitor, I expect my 360 games to run at 1280x720 since Microsoft has pledged so. I do not care if the game looks great. I know, for a fact, that the image is being stretched.
JNasty4G63WHO GIVES A CRAP!!!!!
sn00pieJesus, these broken 360s are all over the place.
Viper ZeroI do.
I plan (like many others) to buy a HDTV very, very soon. If the PGR3 box says 720p support, then I expect it to be 1280x720, the 720p resolution. I'm not going to spend three grand on a HDTV and $400 on a console (that crashes harder than Windows) for a $60 game that doesn't support 720p.
But, using your logic, no one gives a crap.
No, I never said that no one cares. Just that I don't care. And, in my opinion, anyone who is worried about a single spec that much is in need of a new hobby. Its almost like your looking for anything to complain and moan about, and this is it. Just play the GAME and have FUN. Stop worrying about your fancy, meaningless specs.Viper ZeroBut, using your logic, no one gives a crap.
No, its not. If you take a 4:3 image and stretch it to 16:9, yes that will be out of aspect. But, 1024x600 resolution is the same 1.7:1 aspect that 1280x720 is. So, its not skewing the image, just enlarging it in the same proportions.Viper ZeroPGR3 runs at 1024x600 and the image is stretched to 1280x720. 1024x600 is not 1280x720. It is like stretching a 4:3 movie to fit a 16:9 screen, it doesn't look so hot.
No, a direct screen capture would be at 1280x720. The frame buffer, and processing at 1024x600 is done in the GPU, and then the TV output is processed and scaled up, on the same chip, and then output to the display. If the output was actually coming out of the box at 1024x600, it wouldn't show up as "720p" on peoples TVs. I've played a friends, and its clearly reaching the display at 1280x720.Viper ZeroAny screenshots at 1280x720 are after the video is passed through the TV. A direct frame capture would result in 1024x600, as you can see in the link above.
I think you need to stop talking like you're the only one who knows anything about everything here. I know what HDTV resolutions are. I know what the numbers mean. I get all that. I'm not some nunce. I've had an HDTV for quite some time, and am very into the whole "HT" scene. I get all the terms, tech, and knowledge. Stop the pandering.Viper ZeroI think you need to read what "720" actually stands for.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/720p
720 = 1280x720
If the game does not run at that resolution, it is not 720p. You may stretch that image to fit 1280x720, but it will never be 720p, not to mention it will look horrible.
But, no one gives a crap, right?
