How Do DLC Paints Work?

If I pay to get access to the DLC paints, are they consumable chips? Does that mean I can only use each chip once?

It is possible no one has a good answer, since this may have never been done before.

That would be horrible. I hope that at least the ones you purchase as dlc will be infinitely reuseable. Otherwise you would just be wasting money on it.

As I understand it, you can't dupe them, because you can't gift them. That is my understanding on the DLC cars that already exist, so I could be wrong.

As to the Stig suit, as I understand it, it is not a real suit. It will not be in the DLC pack. It is an Easter egg. You have to put on the right combination of suit and helmet or do something to unlock the Alpine white suit and white Diamond helmet.

I would say that you get one of each and when it's gone its gone. But if you do get unlimited use, without having to dupe them, then I will have a fleet of 1,000 fluorescent pink and yellow cars.

Look at the rest of the DLC. How has that been utilized? Just because other paint chips are consumable doesn't mean anything. If you are going to buy them I think PD would know enough not to let them be consumable and let us keep them as unlimited uses.

That's what I'm hoping, but so far, the only downloadable content as been cars. I didn't know if there was any official word from PD.

It seems like something they would do. I mean they aren't jerks like that and make it so you can only use them once. You ARE paying for them, therefore you should be able to use them whenever.

My guess (and hope) would be that once you have bought them, you could keep downloading them from somewhere. Hoping this is how the cars would work too. It would be nice to have multiple of some (for me, the Miata). That way one could play around with tuning parts (especially the ones that can't be removed).

The race car DLC will likely just enable the stock versions of those cars to be race modifiable (likely excluding the X2011).

The DLC cars are touring cars, not RM. They will be separate beasts.

p.s. Just set up a lounge for our weekly racing series. I have two drivers that can't see all the cars in the room, of which there are 9. Thanks, PD. It is nice that you fixed those bugs before you introduced more stuff.

When the paint chips get use, you have to wait until you get them again in the login bonus, just like the other paint chips.

I hope they aren't a one use thing that would be a waste of money would be nice if buying them put them in the game so that you can buy as many as you like with in game Cr for a set price, Flourecent yellow RM Cars for me .
