I'm racing a G25 with a 42" Sony and Sony Home Theatre 5.1 surround sound. When I am the only one home I crank it up; especially love using the curbing ruimble strips!

LOL! I had this sort of set up when I first got my DFGT.

Then I got a few bits of wood and cobbled together a stand which was fine if not a little rickety.

Now though I'm rocking the Wheel Stand Pro. Not a particulary cheap piece of kit but it's beautifully crafted. It's really sturdy too. It doesn't look that stable it the pictures but this thing doesn't move when in use. To anyone considering getting one I'd say do it. I see quite a few people on here have them already.

TV is Panasonic 42" Viera which I'm trying to convince the missus needs to be upgraded to a 50":sly:

Ditto all the above...even got a Panasonic Viera!

The Wheel Stand Pro really is a great bit of kit and folds up very small when not in use

Fanatec Wheel Stand.
Fanatec 911 GT3RS and Clubsport pedals.
Fanatec shifters with shifter-plate.

50 inch Full-HD 1080p Samsung.
Z-5500 surround sound, THX-certified.

This is gonna be awsome !

Fanatec RS wheel, 7.1 Onkyo, and a 32 inch 1080p display :D .. HD GOODNESS!

or I can move to the other room with 55 inch 1080p, but its only a SONY 5.1

Shift Plate?

;)

Shifter-plate then ;)

You don´t atually need one but it reduces the sloppyness according to Fanatec.

Haven´t bought anything except my wonderful TV and the Z-5500 but GT5 might be released next year so im in no hurry to buy the wheel and pedals.

What is this? I've never heard of any sort of "Plate" you can buy for the shifters. Is it for mounting the shifter? Any pics?

;)

Receiving a 911 Turbo wheel in a few weeks. And i'm using a 27' LCD 1080i (in my room) or a 50' 1080p in the living room. if the one in my room seems too small, i'll just switch.

37" 1080p telly, G27 and playseat Evolution.
All now set up in the spare bedroom, it's a nice place to be!

My jaw has just dropped at RouWa's 120 incher. I want one

Nice setup man, Do you play Closer to it? Is it full 1080p? Whats the TV behind the seat? Also what kind of surround sound you have?

Why the PS3 lays there on the floor down there? Someone might step on it :P just get a USB extension cable, problem solved.

Tip: If you reverse the steering mount post on the Gameracer it makes Heel and toe or left foot braking, or in my case just braking a lot easier. I found that with it the "right way around" My shin was constantly in contact with the upright! Just a thought?

Do you play Closer to it?

No, when I play, I move the Playseat back as far as possible. The distance to the screen is then about 5m. The room size is 6,0 x 4,0 x 2,4m. The human field of view equals a lens with 30-40mm focal lenght, but like with any wide open aperture only the center is sharp. If you are too close, numbers and texts near the edge of the screen are blurred (DOF).

Is it full 1080p?

Yes. But my only sources with native 1080p are Blu-Rays and Virtua Tennis 3.

Every panel always has the full resolution btw, even if the electronics can't process the progressive signal. If a game runs at 720p i. e., the projector (the HQV chip) or the console (XBOX360/PS3) has to do an upscaling, because the panel has 1920x1080 actual pixels.

There is a nice technology demo from HQV:

Whats the TV behind the seat?

An ordinary 40inch Samsung LCD HDTV. Don't know the model name.

Also what kind of surround sound you have?

Heco Metron 1000 without a center speaker (I hate them). An extra subwoofer is not necessary. There is a 25cm woofer in each of the two big speakers. It's a 4.0 system.

Why the PS3 lays there on the floor down there?

The two G27 cables are too short.

Do you charge people to even watch you play?

I couldn't convince a single person to buy a projector for gaming. They are all satisfied with their 32-46inch HDTVs or their old SD CRTs.

Update (lol) - As usual I have my fat PS3 and PC underneath, 42" Samsung Plasma, 19" monitor and sound system on top of and DFGT clamped to:

..the Jerker, set to just the right height. And recently I bought:

from Summit for $60 and bolted it to a scratch-built wooden base. I made a mount for my pedals to get them to the right angle. Basically ideal racing cockpit that doubles as a useable space for $80.

Playseat Evolution, Logitech G27, Insignia 26" 720p HD, SONY 1000w Surround Sound :D

@Rouwa: Could you send me some dimensions of mounting points for the G27 to the playseat? that is if you bolt yours to it.

Hahahahaa, thanks man. it actually does kinda help so i can get all my drilling done early.

Oh, und RouWa:

Die USA hat mehr Medailleon (sp?) als Deutschland! ;)

Though a woman from my family in Germany, Gisela Grothaus, won a silver medal in slalom canoeing in the 1972 summer olypmics.
