With a steering wheel on an HDTV.

G25ora Fanatec wheel, Full HD tv.

Maybe, on three 30" Full HD tv (multi monitor setup) :D

All I have for now is a 32" hd tv il'l have to get a g25 racing wheel but this is my plan.
HD TV + G25

G25 and a 1080p SHARP AQUOS.

How do you solve the problem with G25 having 900 degrees and GT5P having 180 degrees? Of course you can limit G25's rotation, but you waste the potential... I hope full GT5 will have at least 270 degrees (I saw some experiments with that in previous builds). I realize it's difficult to balance it cause many "players" still use D-PAD (shame on you, Kazunori!), which makes 900 degrees in game looking like a fight with a lethal snake.

I intend to play from two places - from my bed and from my chair in front of my table. In first case, I will use analog sticks on DualShock3, in the other case I will use my G25 (I hope that GT5 will finally push me to lubricate it - still talking about my steering wheel ).

I've planned to buy a TV for almost a year, but I still haven't decided which one. I tried both Samsung (LE32A656) and Sony (40W4000) and I was pretty disappointed. I cannot live with back-light bleeding and clouding! Only thing I know is that I'm buying 37-40 inches TV (no space for larger) and Samsung is closer to my ideal. I hope they'll decrease input-lag in next series. Than it'll be perfect.

sorry for the mess :guilty: (in my room and in my post either :D)

I will start with the controller then eventually I might buy a wheel. Whatever wheel I buy will have to have a 6 speed shifter and a clutch pedal.

DFGT + Sharp Aquos 46X20 (1080p)
I need damn solid stand now...my wood (home-made) stand is falling apart

42" HDTV 1080p and G25. I am however thinking about selling both my G25 and my lousy microsoft wireless wheel, and getting myself a Fanatec wheel instead.

those who tried both said G25 is better so try the fanatec before selling your wheel

Here is my setup:

Logitech Driving Force GT Wheel
RaceBase Cockpit
100" 1080P Screen from a projector
Kickass surround sound

I also have Logitech GT Force Wheel and another stand for when someone feels like racing me.

If that RS wheel wont work, I am getting Turbo S edition (wheel alone)

A G25 and Bravia Pro 40", along with an audiophile Rotel stereo system. The best of all worlds. I might fuss with a Pioneer Elite or Rotel home theater receiver sometime, but this thing with a B&W knockoff speaker pair beats the tar out of any HT setup I've seen for less than $4000 US. It still surrounds you with amazing sound.

Currently I'm on SIXAXIS + 720P TV but if I finances let I switch to G25 hence I voted on switching option.

G25 (looking to get a playseat in benelux) and HDTV 720p for now (1080p when GT5 releases) :D

playing HD game in SD television does not make any sense nowdays. HDTVs are cheap and almost the only type of tv available in stores.

The cheapest decent 32" LCDs that are 1080p are $1000 in Australia, and up to $2000. Compared to the price of PS3 is $700ish and $400ish for an xbox 360 pro. For many people its a big jump to go from $400 or $700 for a console to $1400 or $1700 for a console and a HDTV. For the same price you can buy a relatively high end PC.

I spent $1,250.00 on a 32' HDTV+ MGS4 80GB PS3 in a matter of two days. It was almost exactly a year ago (June 2 and 3rd). So yea, that is a considerable price to pay especially in these crap economic times.

Here you can buy smaller 24" 1080p lcd with 250€, without tuner. And you do not need a 1080p tv enjoy hd gaming as very few games support it.

I'm playing with a 37" Full HD tv, sixaxis and a playseat:nervous: My DF steeringwheel
doesnt have force feedback anymore and playing without it isn't fun... I think i'm going to buy one of the porsche wheels, but I just need the money for it:dunce:

if you only need it for the ps3/pc get the G25 instead, it's still better

As soon as GT5 is released i`ll buy a G25 and Racing seat. Right now im playing GT5P with sixaxis and a 40" Full HD TV

True, you can buy a 24" PC monitor for around $300-350, but not everyone is the market for a screen that doesn't even have a tuner ;) Especially since some older SD TVs have better picture than a PC monitor anyway.

Im just saying going HD for gaming is cheap enough now. Buy a tuner for 50€ to go with pc monitor or use uor old tv for tv watching.
