How do you intend to play GT5? (HDTV-SDTV/PC monitor/wheel/controller)

Man I hate to tell you this but you need to get a better wheel.

New G25 wheel with seat and HDTV. Hope to save enough to get two other units and tv's. Trying to go all out..

I know that suck! But I wanna change my LG26" LC55 1080p tv with a 32" new bravia... and the whell works, and so on... and I don't have enogh space in my bedroom to put a racingseat!:crazy:

But, by the way... whell + HDTV + 5.1 is just fine!:)
 
Primarily with my DFGT on my 36" WEGA in 16:9 enhanced mode, and occasionally on my 720p LCD projector with my 72" screen.
 
40" Samsung, Yamaha Surround sound, G25, Simulator Seat (upgrading to a different one before gt5 is out)
 
How I plan to play GT5 upon release date:

One BRD Race Frame Pro:



Plus one set of ECCI Pedals:



One Panasonic 32'in HDTV:



One Frex Modded DFP:


All I need now is the PS3 and I'm good to go! :-)

PS: If business picks up before the actual release date of GT5, then I'm upgrading the BRD Race Frame Pro to the Rennsport Cockpit

I could never justify the price of the Rennsport cockpit, because for a similar price I could buy a TIG welder and make a cockpit however I want, and still be left with a nice TIG welder to make all the other things on my "projects" list ;)

Then you, my friend, have some serious skills!
If I had the know-how, space and equipment, then this would be something that I would look into myself...but since I don't, I buy 3rd party! :D

Is that Frex modded DFP is just a wheel or the motors are replaced also? Works well on all PS2 games?

Yes, it's a frex modded DFP..Frex does not replace or touch the motors...all they do is add a new wheel, as well as the all new electronics...Works well with all other games that I've used....

That's a nice setup and I think your color choice would make it look even better!
Get yourself a G-25 and custom mount the pedals and you'd have something your friends would envy...for sure!

At my height though (6'5"), getting in/out of that thing would be an all day event! :D

Its actually quite frustruting :p I learnt how to weld a couple of years ago for Formula SAE to build a race car, now there's so many things I want to make (top of the list is a racing cockpit) but I can't afford a welder :(

Tell ya what, if someone wants to sponser me for a welder, I'll build them a racing cockpit of any design for the cost of the materials/gas (out of any material I can weld) :p
 
Yeh im gunna get myself a 24" 1080p Dell monitor with hdmi input.
Im a student so this way i can avoid having to pay tv licence :D
(for those of you who dont know this is like a £200 fee per year if you own somthing that can pick up broadcast tv excluding online reruns etc)

i have a 22" dell ultrasharp which is ace but i have to swap inputs with my pc and its a bit of a chore and its 16:10 giving a slightly tall picture
i use a driving force gt on my pc desk

I suggest you also take a look at benq 24" 1080p screen that is been said to best for gaming.

Im going to play it like a game! Unwrap that cellophane crack open the case, get the whiff of new plastic and paper, and marvel at the 800-900 cars 100+ tracks on one tiny disc insert it in my humming ps3, just waiting to process all that information. Hear the PS3 quick jingle before the game loads. Then watch the info movie with a box of tissues as I see how beautiful it will be.

22" HD Telly.
and a locked door so no distractions from the outside world.. :-)

Coming from someone who has made only 4 topics, it's clear you don't make many. Perhaps you're self conscious about it or you genuinely have nothing to offer the community. For me it is interesting to see how people will play this game. You may not be interested in knowing, but many others are, some 236 users who voted.

Whooaaa, easy there tiger, put your senseless flame out.
That's like me saying pointlessly to you, that since you are from The Empire State, you have the tendency to jump on peoples remarks more often because you have anger issues. I voted in your poll, I just think its a silly thread, and was pointing it out. If you were in any form not self conscious, you wouldn't have looked through my page, looked up how many threads I posted and then tried to throw it in my face to put me down. Don't get offended so easily.
