How many cars should GT6 have?

I'd like to see that if you do want to buy a "brand new" car from the 70s, it's going to cost you big time. There aren't many mint condition, 0 mile driven 40 year old cars. Of course, a merely slightly used specimen would be quite expensive, but not extortionate, and a well used heap of 70s junk should be cheap as chips.

I think you've got the idea of my Historic dealership. But... I don't want to see a "0/0/0" historic car. However, you can use the restore feature. I'd make that function "smarter" to turn old piles of junk into near mint, or good to mint conditions. Like you said it'll cost you, unless you only want to fix it up to a certain condition, and it costs less.

I would be satisfied with around 400 to 500 premiums in Gran Turismo 6. There cannot be more than 10 Skylines though. AT LEAST 100 of the cars should be race cars.

Turkey :D

All of that + more British cars

WOW! Not even PD can think of something as brillient as your idea Jubby. I'll play GT6 forever hunting for cars if this exists in the game. You gotta put this in the feedback section. I'll promise you I'll vote "3" right away. :D PD's gotta see this! All those cars being premium with no standards period will be awesome.

Kind of a GUI nightmare tho, not clean & streamlined.
Also , cars like the MIURA wouldn't be ridiculously expensive if they gave us Production models(73 SV) as opposed to prototype worth15M$.

I would like more race series to have a full grid of cars represented in the game. This would mean at least 16 for f1, lemans, lemons, jgtc, d1gp, d1nz, pikes peak hill climb, indy 500, wrc, nascar, porsche cup, formula ford, scca runoffs, and even the dakar rally.

As far as the old cars being bought new, why is it an issue to just buy them used then restore them to new? The difference between perfectly restored and new is too little to quable over.

I fail to understand why people DON'T want the standards in game. Why would one choose to not have an extra 700 plus vehicles? Even if one doesn't use them, why? Do these people not like any of the standards? They can't be so nieve to think that PD will make specifically the models they want. Why not keep what we have and be grateful for additions, rather than throw away what may not be 'top of the line,' but still does a great job.

I really hope PD doesn't listen to these people who think 200 premiums are better than 700 standards. When I want to see nice cars I'll never afford, I go to NAIAS, or New York. When I want to drive them, I play GT4/5.

This is a PS3 game, as probably will be GT6. For that reason alone I want to see a PS3 quality game, graphically. I don't want to see assets from the last generation, it just brings the quality down and makes the product look and feel shoddy. I mean look back through the history of gaming and the generation leaps of consoles, how many times could devs have re-used old assets to boost their new game? PD could have even done it themselves in the past with GT3, they could have taken all of the PS1 cars into it and mixed them in with their ~200 'premium' PS2 models. But they didn't.

Also remember we already have now 261 premium cars. Yes they're not all unique but neither are the standards. If we're to take what Kaz says about them having a 'stockpile' of cars they could release as DLC and the fact they'll have another couple of years to work on GT6 I don't think it's be too ridiculous to assume they could get to 450+ PS3 quality cars in it.

Another thing, remember that a lot of the standards are very similar so as easy as it was for them to copy/paste several of those cars at PS2 quality they could do the same with a premium model. There aren't 700 unique standard cars in GT5 so they wouldn't have to model 700 unique PS3 quality cars either. Some are more different than others but it's still much quicker than modelling another 100% unique car.

I'm rambling somewhat but the point I'm trying to make is there really should be no reason for a PS2 quality car to appear in GT6. They should have enough time and resources to create premium versions of enough of them + new models to end up with a good car list, entirely PS3 quality.

Will there be a lot of standard cars that don't make it? Yes of course, but we mostly got over it in GT3, i'm sure we'll do the same for GT6.

I'm one of the biggest "standard car lovers" around. I use them a lot and a lot of my favorite cars are standards in GT5.

BUT, I don't want them in GT6. PD simply couldn't handle the mess well. Just the fact that you always have your cars separated into 2 tabs its already annoying. Right now, one of the things I want most is: same treatment for premiums and standards. I want all wheel options for them, I want them in Photo Travel... I want all of them with interiors. Simple interiors, I don't want premium quality. What they did with the open top cars, the Prowler, Chaparral, Caterham, FGT would make things A LOT better. But right now, GT6 is on its way... I don't see this very last thing (standard interiors) happen.

If we had standards, with RM options for example, it would be a lot better. The whole inconsistency is weird.

Again, I LOVE most standard cars, I couldn't live without my 50 RUFs but this is the case with GT5. For GT6. No... I don't want them :indiff:

I would like that to. But you have to Add DTM, SuperGT,... and i agree with you :)
A Livery Editor would help to Create a Full Race Series grid or a Racing League with own Team Decals.
I would like to See more than 16 Cars on Track. This is One reason why i say GT6 should be on PS4.
And realistic Race Series events etc.

Because the Cockpit view is a really bad Cockpit view. And would not Get better...

Quality over quantity.
Or Quality >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Quantity

Even if one doesn't use them, why?
in GT5 you are forced to use them in some events or for some trophies. And the AI drive with them sometimes.

First of all... Standard Cars dont so a great Job and they are a "Time waster" for the Developer, because they try to increase the quality of those Cars, but they Never reach a Satisfy level.

I like some Standard Cars, but i like quality much more. Standard Cars dont deliver and Never will.
GT6 will maybe released on PS4. Do you really want Standard Cars which are driven by the AI or you? I Doubt that :)
Standard Cars are on a Level Between PS2 and ps3. Nobody Wants to See them on a ps4.

I really hope PD doesn't listen to these people who think [...]

I Hope they dont waste Time with standard Cars, because standard cars decrease the quality of a game.
But i believe they will integrate Standard Cars, because they dont want to lose the "Car value Battle" which include's Forza 4,5 and GT5.

I think they will have 400-600 p Cars and 600 Standard Cars in GT6.

Quality is most important and that's why I respect Kaz. He sees it that way.

But they added Standard Cars. Ok i would say that was Sony's fault.

Yamauchi wanted 2 more years and likes quality. Sony should shut up :P and let PD do their work if Thats True that Sony wanted to Add standard Cars....

I still don't properly understand why the standard cars were added. (Sure they hold my favorite cars in the list but still.) I guess it would bore some people. :\ But imagine this. Imagine if the standard cars weren't added into GT5. Would it be okay? Or would it be boring? For me, I think 200 would be okay. A little boring, but okay. I love perfect number of cars and car lists, especially when they're all premium. :)

I think the standard cars are like built in backwards compatability. They aren't "crappy gt5 cars" they are cars that we can use without having to go back to gt4.

Ya dig?

lol  Totally. But one problem. The GT4 tracks weren't carried over and still need to come. :nervous: They're still working on them I suppose, should finish soon I hope. :D

200 would be boring for those used to GT2 and GT4 car lists... I played GT3 just a bit (it was the GT game I played less, still dunno why) and the car list on that feels small

At first, I liked standards, and still like them. Like I said, on GT5.

For GT6, 400-500 premiums will do it. And I think its pretty possible for them.

I'd like to see more of the lower number of cars, but they're all practical. No 40 Skylines, no Odd 90's Kei car.

Obviously maybe 1 or 2 but not 600 of 1000 being Japanese.

More emphasis on race cars, actual ones. Even if we have less cars, the ability to turn them into racing cars, not just pre-made RMs.

Meaning, WE NEED MORE PARTS AND BODYKITS! And of course, a livery editor.

Talking about cars:

Prize cars should not be given directly. Instead, it should give you a ticket for that car, so that you could "buy it for free" in the color you want. This way, you won't have to just live with having a car in a color you don't like. I always hated this concept, especially because you're not able to paint all cars (LM race cars, X2010) in the appropriate colors.

Let´s hope ORBIS and GT6 will be announced soon more likely for a 2013 release.Or at least Orbis and then GT6.

Awwwww 2013? :indiff: Oh well, as long as it's announced for E3, I'm great. :dopey:👍 "Figures crossed for free roam, and the livery editor later on."
