I'd be really interested to see what sort of percentages we are looking at with this money glitch.
Come one now, be honest in the name of science.

Considering it, but I'm afraid it will screw up my progress/galleries/replays so far.
I've already lost a few cars in the stockyard glitch, so I don't want to provoke more errors.

Also, I had such major issues trying to upgrade to 1.01, only on the fifth try and a lot of swearing did I manage to get 1.01. Don't want ot go through that again...

Is there really a need for a seperate thread about this after the official thread that explained everything in post one had thousands of dumb replies?!! Fair to say most have.

I've noticed any problems so far and i've done it about 7 times. Only had to re enter my redeem codes and update car pictures in the garage. I'm not touching the stockyard due to reading many people loosing their cars. My career remains perfectly intact.

This is just a straw poll.

It won't screw up your progress, but it will delete your replays, photos, and cache data. If you don't have much to back up on your hdd though, you can just do it that way. Your stuff will be saved and you won't have to download patch again.

Did it, got 250 premiums, restarted (cuz I lost my save), now I use a new car each race.

Really the best way to play. I probably only used 10 cars the first time I got my Super license.

Really not a good "research" as 99% of all GT players are not registered on this forum.

considering the news has gone viral on sites such as IGN, Eurogamer etc... I would imagine the number to be considerable

the problem with these types of poles, is that some ppl will not openly admit to having used a glitch

I never ever cheat and wouldn't normally do it but i did purely because of how they implemented Microtransactions and the low payouts/lack of prize cars.

It gave me a sense of "getting one over on them" instead of them trying to do it to us!

If Microtransactions (FTP mechanics in a full priced game) start becoming a regular occurance then myself and many others i know are done with gaming.

I only care about online racing. I couldn't care less about singleplayer. I've always hated the dull and brainless AI. And I dont have time to grind the same race around some oval track for hours and hours just to unlock the cars I want to drive... the payouts online are ridiculous.

I'm thinking about doing it on my GTP_-account as well. Simply because it takes up too much time to get money, in my opinion.

Clearly if you are not a member here you cannot vote here. It's a poll for GTP.

Still a difficult issue. What does, say 100 votes say then?
If your satisfied with that 100 people say a mix of the given options, so be it.
But those numbers really mean nothing without some base information.

Example: (Lets base it on 100 votes, OK?)

40x Yes
40x No
10x Consider it
10x Consider it not.

You would say, oh great, now I know some facts, 40% do the money glitch.

But, how big is the percentage of people on GTP, owning GT6 and not voted at all?
So considering that, a new example.

40x Yes
40x No
10x Consider it
10x Consider it not.
500x no answer [skipped the poll]

Yay, now you can assume that only (still approx) 6.6% of the people used the money glitch.

40% - 6.6%...wide range :)

I'll leave it here, I'll vote yes, as I used the money glitch.

Cheers,

Outeke

ps. I work for one of the biggest market research companies in the world, that might explain my reply to your poll.
Hope you'll be happy with your survey anyway, whatever outcome it will give.

Having "No" and "Would never consider it" doesn't make sense. If a person never considered it, obviously they would vote "No" anyway. It's splitting the "No" vote.

I'd probably do it in a second if I could

So you're implying that all internet polls are useless since you can't know the response rate or demographic of the respondants?

..

So you're implying that all internet polls are useless since you can't know the response rate or demographic of the respondants?

Yes, I can say that 90+% of all internet poll's are useless. But of course it is what statistics your after to start with.
If GTPlanet (admin's) hold a poll, they have detailed information about population of their website etc etc.
So then they know how big the group is that actually didn't participated in the survey.

But a poll on your favorite news website, is very selective and can often not be counted as what the country/world would do. because the "population" on that news website is selective to start with.
Always a certain group of people that reads a specific website.

Research never been an easy job.....

It removes replays and pictures.
