DNS? Sorry, I'm young:D Let me know what that is and maybe I might be able to help ya(probably not):(

DNS = Domain Name Server

It's the box that converts http://125.254.254.3/ to www.gtplanet.net

The computer's see 125.254.254.3 and the DNS converts it to a logical series of letters we call a URL Address...

Theres a better explination, BUT I STILL NEED MINE!

You've lost your DNS? Can you just call your ISP and ask them?

Why couldnt Win2k have the same Ipcnfg in Run as Win98?
The one in 98 had the DNS in it

Im lazy and wanna hook up my board n processor real fast

phone calls are just another slow down

There's alot of little things like that, that I miss in Win2K, from Win98.

Or maybe, as long as i dont pull the cable wire out of the back of the modem, nothing will chage...

You can look at your DNS info on your machine in your TCP protocal settings...

Goto Network Neiborhood...

That would be true if you were using like a little Linksys Router, but if your going straight from the modem to your computer, all DNS info is stored in your computer...

R-Click on Network Neighbor hood, goto properties....

Listed in the window is each protocal in use...

I would suggest looking at the properties of each protocal and writing out, (printing) your information....

Take note of the Wins Resolution, Gateway, DNS, bleah, bleah, bleah...
