So how is everyone today? Practicing your laps I trust? You guys might have to give your 'ole captian some tips on races 6-10 so my times arn't quite so imbarrasing. :blush:

I think we're really putting together a much better team than last time, I am also planning on putting on some mini-challenges for the team after the qualifing series is over, to test teamwork in car setup and communication between team mates, which is where we lost or arses last time.

How about a time to aim for? Half the problem is knowing when to quit and when to carry on trying.

well... its not good in a competition state... but is anyone really competeing anymore....

i like our teammates, been talking to each one more and more...

Mr. P and GVX are the only ones racinf really...

I know for a fact that other Forums are using teamwork to their advantage and that was evident in the B vs B Challenge. What it requires to work is a dedicated team of members and a willingness to try and help others by sharing strategy, times, driving lines, car setup etc... This thing can work but it's up to the people involved to make it succeed.

For 6 you want to come out on the right side of the first turn and brake hard down to 80-90 (90 if lucky) and keep the car on the left side through the turn, even if your speed is lower than it would be if the car were allowed to exit off to the right. A well timed turn to the right should get you through the downhill part at 107+. 110 or so can be maintained up hill, but can be tricky. The long left hand can be done at 118 for most of it, but it might be better to slow down a tad lower and not straight to 118. The tight turn can be taken at 55 plus, a little throttle revving, probably good to angle to the right some upon entering it. the left hander before the chicane is a 100 turn and the chicane is about 73-75, maybe 80.

hey i was hoping gvx would post one for me !! lol

no i agree we need to get a settings and tips section were we can put all valuable information for cars , courses and set-ups . it will benefit the team no end but does it go in a closed thread for us only or out in the open ??

Calm down there. It's O.K., lets finish one thing at a time. I was thinking about races that have been done on other boards so we have some times to compare with. As we approach the end of your qualification series, we can start posting events in the Team's forum so we can train for our competition with the other boards.

Sound like a plan?

yeah i suppose one step at a time is right but i'm gonna start filling it up with settings i find as i look all over the net and have found some really good settings for plenty of cars , as it goes they need to be tested by everyone , but at the moment only 3 people have access to the team forum and i happen to be one of them ! he he
so i'm gonna put a couple in each day until it is open to the rest of you guys , sorry pako not going against your decision just getting my info submitted before some disaster happens with my pc !! you never know it could blow up with all this info in it !! lol

For about $50, Dazzle makes a USB capture devise where you could capture/save the replay on your computer in avi, quicktime, or rm (real player), or mpeg format. You could be looking at some pretty big downloads/uploads for those with 56K connections. 5+ mb's per replay.

This would really be the only options since I don't think that replay data on the memory card's are compatible between the PAL and NTSC versions. (I really don't know, just an assumtion)

If you have access then go for it. Put them all in one thread - use the first page in the thread for an index that we can build upon. Start posting your settings in the second reply of the thread.
