I agree that there are definitely more fans of Supra's out there but I think it is justified.
What I do know is that in my entire life I have seen upwards of 100 WRX's, around 20-30 S2000's and I love them.
But in my entire life I have seen 5 (maybe 6) Supras.
I saw 2 black ones at world of wheels in Calgary (One of which came in 2nd place overall at Car and Drivers One Lap of America one year) I believe they each had around 600hp
I saw a silver one downtown with an insane body kit and most likely tons of hp
I saw a black and a red one at the drag races (Black has 640hp at the wheels and the red one had 420hp at the wheels)
and there is also a picture of me as a kid standing in front of a red one at the car show here in Calgary when they first came out in 1993.
The Toyota Supra is a rare car that didnt sell well because people who were going to spend that kind of money wanted to spend it on a car they had dreamed about as a kid (ie BMW, Mercedes, Porsche) not some sports car from some up and coming Japanese company that had no real history or reputation. It just turns out that those who did were rewarded with a car that was faster than any Ferrari and all but a handful of cars at the time, plus it was probably the best handling car overall during its production
