That is beautiful

I have a friend that is quite rich, he is 19 and his dad is buying him a Toyota Supra this summer. He has a max of $45,000 Canadian to spend.

I have been looking around and they are very hard to find. Alot are autos too.

But I did find one with all of the prep work in place and all that is needed is an $8,000 Turbo, and you have 850hp

The guy wants $55,000 CDN, do you think it is worth it.

PS $55,000CDN is around $33,000 USD.

I would LOVE having my dad do that for me, and don't you think
your friend could persuade his dad to up the amount to
the much needed CA$ 55K ?...

I love Supras.. Mean, nasty and 🤬 all I don't give a
🤬 kinda cars :D

And with 850Bhp.. Ohh I think it's worth it....

Ohh... And Btw. A little story from real life :
55K CA$ = 33K US$ = 280K DKK (Danish kroners)
BUT - When taxed and on plates it's closer to 700K DKK...
Spooky huh ? :-)

i'd love a Supra, but i'd sooner take a WRX or S2000, since there are way too many Supra fanboys out there.

Have you ever driven a S2K? I have , and guess what - it sucks... I mean it... really , it was one of the biggest dissapointents i have ever had behind the wheel...

I agree that there are definitely more fans of Supra's out there but I think it is justified.

What I do know is that in my entire life I have seen upwards of 100 WRX's, around 20-30 S2000's and I love them.

But in my entire life I have seen 5 (maybe 6) Supras.

I saw 2 black ones at world of wheels in Calgary (One of which came in 2nd place overall at Car and Drivers One Lap of America one year) I believe they each had around 600hp

I saw a silver one downtown with an insane body kit and most likely tons of hp

I saw a black and a red one at the drag races (Black has 640hp at the wheels and the red one had 420hp at the wheels)

and there is also a picture of me as a kid standing in front of a red one at the car show here in Calgary when they first came out in 1993.

The Toyota Supra is a rare car that didnt sell well because people who were going to spend that kind of money wanted to spend it on a car they had dreamed about as a kid (ie BMW, Mercedes, Porsche) not some sports car from some up and coming Japanese company that had no real history or reputation. It just turns out that those who did were rewarded with a car that was faster than any Ferrari and all but a handful of cars at the time, plus it was probably the best handling car overall during its production

A direct quote from Car and Driver "The Toyota Supra turbo is probably the fastest, best handling car you can buy for under $150,000"

BTW, yes I have driven an S2000, not it did not lurch out and screech its tires like my brothers Mustang, but if I got that thing going on a race track, I would take out any Mustang or Camaro ever made. I bet that if i was even at a red light beside Mustang I would beat him in a race if I was driving an S2000. Here is how it would go.....

The light would turn green, he would probably lay a decent patch while my S2000 would gracefully "hop" off the line with a bit of a spin from the tires. Then he might come roaring up beside me and then he would have to quickly do some fast shifting because his redline comes on quickly at 6,000rpm, I would slowly pour it on up to 8300rpm, and then shift whith one of the fastest gearboxes in the world, he would do a bit of gaining on me and I would just start to pull away from him with my high revving VTEC fury and he would be back there choking and huffing his huge 5.0 motor with some transmission from a dump truck and my S2000 would be sent screaming off into the night.

See yah Mustang......

Odd supras are quite common over here in the UK. I could pick up a nice 1991 turbo 2.5 for about £5000. There are several new shape supras running around my area, stock and modded. Same with 300zx`s

Now whats rare over here are bloody skylines, ive only seen like 10 and ive never seen an R34 in the flesh.
