The Escudo in GT5 is called the dirt trial car, it was pikes peak in other titles.
Specs ar all the same, but it cannot be taken to anything like the top speed it could acheive back in the day.
Not sure whether you mean the pikes peak, but if you do, it's not in the game.

Escudo Pikes Peak car is some SUV, not sure who makes it but I'm pretty sure it's Suzuki. In previous games the SUV was left out and the Escudo was called the Pikes Peak car. When they introduced the SUV and called it Escudo Pike's Peak or whatever they renamed the former car to Dirt Trial.

How is there a difference?
It looked exactly the same as in past games (even the 6 on the wing) but people are saying that they are different. They are the same exact car except called different things. Either way if it was called the dirt trial car it is just referring to Pikes Peak and and I it says pikes peak it is referring to the dirt time trial they do there.
I was talking to someone online and they said "I wish the Pikes Peak one was on here because it is much faster than the dirt trial version" but I think they are the same.

In previous GT's the Escudo was able to make double the horsepower it puts out in GT5. It gained most of it's popularity in GT Land because of a physics glitch in GT3 which allowed it to wheelie and go over a 1000mph. Though it was also a popular choice in GT2. Also if I remember correctly I could put down a 6 second quarter mile at the drag strip in GT4. And it's the same car in GT5 just with a different name.

Or... don't bother because the car isn't nearly worth the money, time, or effort (in any of the methods to obtain the car). You can get twice the car for half the money, and there are many choices. I enjoyed the Monster in GT2, but it's a grounded brick now.
