I absolutely HATE the kart races.....

They can get frustrating at times, but at times I quite like the karting, I enjoy it mostly at Autumn Ring and GT Arena. Although I bet it'd probably be more enjoyable with a wheel than a DS3. The 100CC karts were 🤬 hard at Kart Space...

They are awesome. Challenging cause I'm still getting used to the wheel but they are a hoot.
Braking or lack of is what wins the race.
If you're using driving line and there's a loong brake zone, just lift and tap the break. If there's medium zones, just lift, if short zone keep the foot floored.

I can only imagine what the 125 will be like.

You can change the gearing for shorter tracks to curb top speed and increase acceleration.

The IA Kart Races are the worst thing ever. Finally completed them but not in the championship. I'm really hoping I don't have to do that.

125cc karts gave me the hardest time. (I really hope there isn't one in IA)

It has 125 shifter karts.

Also, the rubber banding A.I is pretty offensive in some of these kart races. A.I karts keep having their top speed and acceleration adjusted mid race. Can't keep up on the back straight on the small Silverstone circuit on the first 2 laps but walk passed them on the 3rd.

damn. also If I remember correctly it took me 4 hours to do the 125cc (non shifter) kart in the GT Arena IB race. It was driving me up the wall.

Karts are pure EVIL. I really don't know how I managed to win that first B race, and I have no idea how I'm going to do any of the others. (I'm not sure how I'm going to gold the Super License, either.)

That GT Arena IA Kart race was like a brick wall. I added 20kg ballast on the rear and that helped me win it.

The Shifter Kart 125cc races are IMPOSSIBLE with a controller, especially Willow Springs.

On the positive side, they are actually standing starts....

I found once I'd learned the tracks they weren't too bad.

Experience with a real life kart helps.

They really have the physics down right here...it's that on/off tipping point on high speed corners where it will swap ends, and the dulled initial acceleration that are done so well.

Having done a few 24 hour races in thunder karts i can honestly say that the handling of PD's karts is shockingly unrealistic!!! I rarely ever spin out racing for real and always push hard as can be yet on these things it's like driving on oil. I've resigned myself to the fact I wont be golding IA and IB for the sake of my sanity! I seem to recall that in GT5 there was an update and it changed the karts handling to make them more stable. I'm hoping the same will happen for 6!

Which wheel do you have? I have T500 and have won a race already at Brands and with no prior practise.

The only one that is giving me grief is the IA GT Arena 125 shifter kart, most of the bigger tracks, it is easy to out brake them... I have Gold-ed everything(as in all kart races) on like the first 1 or 2 tries... but this last one.... omg 3 hours in and best i could do is 4th.... I dont know how you can race on such a tight circuit.....

Only for karts....i actually prefer the DS3 over my G25, I feel my feet cant get on the brake or gas as quickly as my fingers, and most of the time, full lock is good on the kart to get the best time....

And people were complaining about the AI being way too easy! There's a big difference in the way the karts handle from GT5 to GT6, I drive them more than anyone. The shifter karts are great fun, although I guess they take a bit of practice to master.
