Keep in mind your 1:49 scan is likely when the item is last scanned before going on the truck. Given you're within 20 mins of my last scan time likely means your item was on the same truck.

Now as long as a set of pedals we're on that truck too then somebody out there is rocking a nice full Fanatec sim setup

It is a different time for sure, Dec 21 6:05 P.M. Oddly I have part of the same order that was processed at the sort facility on Dec 22nd @ 5:09 P.M. that I've received.

You have to put your CSR Elite in Ps3 mode:

Turn the wheel of
Connect to pc with usb
Power on the wheel
Push the back and connect button ( like you do when connect to ps3)

Windows will recognise the csr elite as a G25

You can even use profiler for games that do not recognise the csr elite

Thanks, I got it to work. It is important for the CSR-E to be in PS3 mode and not PC mode which I had been trying to use.

Here are the mappings for the CSR-E on the G25 profile in GT5.

CSR-E to G25

LSB equals left G25 wheel button
RSB equals right G25 wheel button
Lower Left equals left button on the lower four buttons on the G25 shifter
Lower Right equals right button on the lower four buttons on the shifter

The XBox Diamond on the CSR-E maps directly to the PS3 Diamond on the G25 shifter.

The push button on the top hat maps to the "X" button on the PS3 Diamond on the shifter.

Since the D pad controls are mapped to front, back and side view I was able to create assignments for all of the functions I feel are essential including the RA Menu, Select and Adjust controls for in race adjustment of the race car.

Really my heart goes out to your situation Hawk.
If you paid by credit card is their some way of you getting the chance of another order dispatched and for Fanatec/Courier to sort out their own mess.

If the courier cannot confirm you have taken delivery then I would of thought your own countries consumer law would be on your side. If the wheel then turns up later it could be returned.

The wheel was paid for via PayPal with Credit Card funding so I suppose that route is open.

I'll wait to hear back from Crystal as the jist I got from VW's post was that Fanatec would likely only wait a couple days for USPS to find it and send me another Elite rather than wait until an investigation is concluded.

I could email Thomas I suppose but I'll wait for Crystal.....she's been tremendous to deal with thus far and I feel like I'm in very capable, caring hands.

I can tell you from years of experience that this isn't a backlog issue as the stuff was never scanned by customs.....that means it never made it. Items are scanned on arrival and THEN cleared by customs. No customs scan means it never got there. Other Canadian orders that were shipped after the 21st (like Left888 ) have already cleared and our near delivery. In my years of experience Canada customs is actually very fast clearing stuff unless the paperwork is messed badly.

Years ago I ordered a fuel pump for the hot rod....about a $110 USD part. The vendor shipped it by UPS even though they promised to use anything but and UPS showed up with my pump and bill for $90+. Off the top of my head was a $35 fee just for brokerage paperwork, a gas surcharge, plus taxes on not only the declared value of the part but taxes on all their fees as well.

I just had a delivery from UPS and actually had one from the day before and both items came from the same company but two different people prepped the shipments.

First item.....shipper declared $0 for value

UPS FEES - $0

Second item.....shipper declared a value of $57.50 USD ($58.70 CDN)

UPS FEES-

$7.63 HST
$29.55 brokerage fee
$3.84 brokerage HST

TOTAL $41.02 CDN in import charges on an item worth $58!!!!!!

Now imagine what kinda numbers we'd be talking on a CSR E if the declared value was $539 USD......HST alone would be $70+

Ummmm.... Wow!!!

Well i hope usps dose do well. I get alot of stuff shipped so i might have to look at going back every once in a while, its only a 5 hour drive. Most of my vendors dont ship to canada for some reason anyway.

I hope they find or send you the cash back asap for your lost wheel.

Just for the hell of it I ran a check on the tracking number and low and behold my Elite is in Customs in Mississauga (just outside Toronto)

Hopefully I should have it in the next couple days. Funny how it turned up inside of 24hrs of Crystal launching an investigation......hmmmmm.

I want to apologize for some of my earlier posts on this.....reading them back now i feel I was ranting a bit much......my frustration oozes from the screen to me when I read them now which is likely due to the fact I posted within a short time of my email from Crystal where she informed the investigation would take til February.

I actually blame Thomas for all this.....it's all his fault for creating this damn wheel that created more anticipation and excitement than any sim product I've bought yet!

The porsche shifter actually feels great to me at first I didn't like it but once I got use to it, it feels alot better then the g27 but mounting it can be a pain, but the price is good and not much mor for the csr shifter with an aluminum knob. Plus the new cs shifter is going to awesome( I hope)

I have to agree with the Hawk here though.
On the other side in your defense I think the talk and heated discussions on this forum add to it a lot as well.

Looks like another busy year for Fanatec. Improving firmwares for older and all new wheels, release products like the CSW with two rims, CSS, CSHB, all new rims for the CSW and Elite. I wonder if I forgot anything but that will keep you busy but us too with all our debates. lol

If you are thinking about an Elite the great thing is that you won't lose compatibility with your current PS3 or PC games that your G27 worked on. Many think because of the Forza logo it's an Xbox wheel. I agree with another post and say get rid of one set (return or sell) and buy yourself an elite with the pedal adapter if you are able.

I've been shipping stuff from the States myself for many years too. Usually Customs deals with items quickly, my worst case was more than two weeks in customs, it happens.

I received my CSRE last week, the rest of the shipment cleared Customs yesterday and is en route.

I take it you're not really in downtown TO- which I happen to be and it's much warmer here (despite being close to the lake). Enjoy the wheel!

The T500RS F1 rim's in VanWeed 's post is looking rather sweet. It's the perfect wheel for my LMPs and Super GT endeavors as the T500RS GT rim is much too big.

I just realized that I don't have a csr-e label and s/n sticker on the base of my wheel...and notice that some people have and don't have them on there wheels. Was this forgotten on some wheels or is the ones with stickers part of the first or second batch of wheels?
