You already have the best firmware for fm4. I'm playing it just like you with fw715. It works just fine. I am sure the new firmware will improve things when Thomas is ready for it to hit the public. But til then adapt to 715.

I finally had time to try GT5 with the CSR Elite. I was surprised at how good the feedback felt. Firmware 715 seems pretty well tweaked for GT5. I really, really hope they get their firmware to feel at least as good in Forza 4, if not better. Same with the PC mode. I want to see that feedback deadzone completely resolved.

looking forward to your unbiased review/comparison on the wheel. I've had my t500rs now and im loving the wheel but if the hype is true about the CSR elite then i might consider selling my t500rs to get this wheel. 👍

Looking forward to your shakedown. After you use the wheel for a while I think you'll appreciate the demand for updated firmware. It's the only issue I have with the wheel that actually impacts performance. The wheel rim could have and should have been nicer too, but it doesn't affect my actual racing. My brother-in-law and I have racked up two full days of GT5, and the CSR Elite has held up like a champ, which is impressive considering how frantically he rushes his movements when he overcooks a corner.

Mines got delivered in the US on the 22nd. Haven't got a chance to play with it. Decided to build a new rig and its been slow going dealing with this holiday time craziness. Should be done and wheel mounted by this weekend. Ill post some pics then.

So, along with the CSR Elite I ordered a few other things, they were shipped in 5 boxes.

Three arrived last week (CS Pedals, shifter and tuning kit) the other two (CRS Elite and shifter) were delayed for some reason. One got delivered today and I fully expected it to be the shifter, small miracle it was the wheel!!!

Mine is lost too.....got lost in transit on the way to Canada. I know of at least one other guy in the same boat. I have to wait until tomorrow before USPS will even start an investigation on its whereabouts.

Not a happy camper.

So much for the extra $40 to get it by Xmas.......I'll be lucky to get it in the 1st week of 2012 now and likely will get it later than that if it can't be found which will mean starting the whole process of shipping another wheel all over again if USPS concludes it is lost.

I'm not happy with Endor USA either....my package was ready to ship on the 14th but wasn't processed at the sort facility by USPS until the 20th as apparently Endor only has scheduled pickup by USPS on Mondays. Given how many people shelled out extra to get this wheel early they couldn't see fit to call USPS and arrange an earlier pick up?

Well it's the 30th so now my wheel is "officially" lost in the eyes of USPS as its been 10 days since any tracking activity has been recorded.

I could probably order another one and have it faster than what I'm expecting this process to take.

The problem is not UPS. Fanatec USA only uses UPS for shipments to the US. For Canadian buyers they use USPS (United States Postal Service) to ship the products to the Canadian border where they are handed over to Canada Post. USPS has terrible tracking and items get lost all the time. My wife works for USPS and won't ship anything with them because she sees the problems first hand.

Actually Latte all the Canadian orders were shipped by Unites States Postal Service (USPS)

I've had hundreds of things shipped from the US to Canada by USPS.......this is the 1st time I've had a problem (figures!)

Certainly can't say the same for UPS.....I've had several issues with them over the years.

I'm not the only one either....there's another Toronto area guy who's posted on Thomas' blog and his is missing too. I think both of ours were on the same truck as his tracking info is virtually the same as mine in terms of time stamps.

Yeah with the holidays being almost over, I'm far less excited and am becoming more patient. I do hope they come, but at this point it wouldn't be until 2nd week of January that I could use it anyway. TBH... when I saw when they were shipped I had doubts, I never could have predicted this though.

Ups is just as bad state side. My csp were to be delivered to my job signature required. But no they sent them to my house after about 5 address changes and left them not in the box not in the yard, not on the stairs, but out next to the mail box next to the garbage bins and with out a signature!! Before that last box that was supposed to come to my house was 3 houses away on someone else's porch.

I think all vendors should offer you the option to pick your carrier for shipping. Id pay more to know where my packages are.

Question for the canadian people, is usps this bad all the time? I was looking to move there next year. If they are that bad i guess ill be making the 5 hour drive and shipping stuff to my parents house lmao.

Funny....I felt the same way. I wasn't exactly comfortable with how close to Xmas the wheel shipped as I kinda felt it was a recipe for this sort of thing to happen due to interruptions in the process due to the holidays (Xmas, boxing day)

I'm trying not to seethe about it but it's difficult. I was one of the very first to order( I ordered the wheel inside of 10 mins of it being live in the store) but the 1st come 1st serve policy was not implemented whatsoever. There were other Canadian guys who've posted on the blog who were a full day later than me with their order and their stuff was processed at the Endor warehouse and on the USPS truck before mine even had a shipping label printed for it and you guessed it.....they're playing with their Elites right now.

I've never had an issue before but their tracking updates can leave a lot to be desired. Here in Canada we try to avoid UPS at all costs because of the ridiculous import and handling fees they charge. You can Google that one to find out more of what exactly I'm talking about.

USPS has been pretty spot on for me over the last 5 years. That being said I've only maybe ordered 20 items through them. I fully support using USPS over UPS because the fees they charge, in the past, have been huge. I was charged more for an item than the value of the item before.

Years ago I ordered a fuel pump for the hot rod....about a $110 USD part. The vendor shipped it by UPS even though they promised to use anything but and UPS showed up with my pump and bill for $90+. Off the top of my head was a $35 fee just for brokerage paperwork, a gas surcharge, plus taxes on not only the declared value of the part but taxes on all their fees as well.

Edit. Prime example.

I just had a delivery from UPS and actually had one from the day before and both items came from the same company but two different people prepped the shipments.

First item.....shipper declared $0 for value

UPS FEES - $0

Second item.....shipper declared a value of $57.50 USD ($58.70 CDN)

UPS FEES-

$7.63 HST
$29.55 brokerage fee
$3.84 brokerage HST

TOTAL $41.02 CDN in import charges on an item worth $58!!!!!!

Now imagine what kinda numbers we'd be talking on a CSR E if the declared value was $539 USD......HST alone would be $70+
