I just recently purchased an HKS VPC for my Talon!!! No more metered air systems!! bye bye MAS!!! Horray for venting Blow Off Valve!!! :D

kool...my bro has a 95 TSI. I just dont like the fact that the car is built poorly. Like when he has the defogger on, his belts squeak and just stuff like that...but other than that it's a cool car...highly recommended if u have the money to repair it.

so the VPC works well hey?, im planning to do some work to my skyline but my MAS will max out, not sure if i should replace my MAS for a MAP sensor or just upgrade it?

As far as Im concerned. The VPC is one of the greatest fuel computers for any turbo charged car if you have the money. For the longest time I have ran a APEXi AFC, which it was kind of a pain to tune, afterall it was just a piggy back and it was only tricking the computer to whats going on. My brother has run mid 11's with his VPC in his GSX and he loves it to death. It is incredibly simple to tune, just by a few clicks of a turn with one dial will add or take away fuel. Also the VPC has the plug in GCC that you can still buy from HKS that further tunes the VPC. Not to mention if you are heavily modefying your car, you and I both know that the more **** in ur engine bay, the crappier it is. With no MAS I get to rip out all the crappy emissions hoses that go in every wich direction, and I can now build a 3" stainless intake without having plugs all over in it. Its a great way to go for more and easy horsepower. Not to mention you get to blow off. :D

i was thinking of buying a Apexi Power FC which is a full ECU replacement and is exellent to tune that is plug in and no wiring required, all the versions exept the latest i think it needs a MAS (which can be upgraded), im looking into the latest version which supports a MAP sensor or MAS. it is expensive but well worth it.

The Apex'i Power FC is the only way to go IMO for a light-mildly tuned car. The addition of the FC Commander and a third-party datalogger will put you in the cost range of a much better Haltech system. Something to consider..

The VPC - GCC combo has been used on some of the worlds fastest imports. The only downfall is, the usual inflated HKS price. Ah well, here's to scaring little kids with a vented valve.

i personally dont want a atmo vented valve, when i get my mods i just want a good safe powerfull tune

AEM just came out with the EMS wich is a full ECU replacement that comes with its own data logging software. The amount of things you can tune and adjust with it is insane. Only for a rough $1,400 or so...

interesting, is that $1400US?, and is it a straight plug in the loom (no wiring)? which means it would have to be model specific

Plug & Play Programmable EMS

AEM’s Plug & Play Engine Management System (EMS) will forever change the way you look at and perform fuel injection tuning! This user-programmable system plugs directly into a vehicle’s factory ECU harness and requires no additional wiring or hardware.* Windows™-based software (2000, NT, 98, 95, ME) makes the task of copying, viewing and manipulating data as simple as a click of the mouse. User-defined templates are easily configurable and enable tuners to establish “quick keys” to any pertinent information during the tuning process. The AEM EMS’s infinitely adjustable software allows tuners to program virtually any combination of engine control, power adders and auxiliary devices, and accurately deliver proper amounts of fuel and correct ignition timing for ANY boost level or operating condition.

Check out the link to learn more about it.. Its damn awesome. Im not sure about prices for your Skyline but I know for DSM's they are going for $1,400-1,500 USD. You should check it out. If ya ask me, I think it is extremely worth the money.

What do you mean? My BOV... Its just the stock 1G DSM blow off valve. It will hold up to 22 psi when crushed.. which it is.. And they are pretty loud if thats what your wondering.

Nice topic, rude title. Even I wouldn't come up with a thread named like this one.

Why you would bring a thread back from last week, to tell us "I wouldn't come up with a thread named like this one" is beyond me.

This is a technical discussion, please don't clutter threads like this unless you have something constructive to add.
