Yep a wheel makes the game brand new again. When you get board of that wheel, go get a G27. When I upgraded from a DFGT to a G27 it made GT5 brand new again.

The only way to play is with a DFGT.
I love it. Such a sweet piece of kit

Oh man I'm incredibly jealous. Nice purchase! I've managed to at least try GT5 with a wheel and I can say it's an unbelievably different experience. Take care of her, and she'll net you a lot of victories. 👍

Yep. After playing on a wheel for a while, I couldn't stand playing on a DS3. When I murdered two of my DFGTs (literally murdered them), I didn't play GT5.

Now with the G27, I can't drive anything without a clutch.

Its a bit harder, I was playing so good with the DS3, now I must improve with DFGT.

I was sure that I could take gold in most liscences but is harder than I tought.

I'm playing using FF at 3 and Profissional set.

Just letting you know. The DFGT, G25/G27, Thrustmaster are not affected by that setting. So switching from amateur, professional, and simulation doesn't do anything. It is technically already set to simulation.

But yeah, work up the FFB settings as you get used to it.

I also just got a new wheel. Got a G27 a few days ago. The hardest things I noticed was the amount of initial turn in needed to really throw the front of the car, and how much to countersteer when you start losing the backend. I practice with 450 to 500pp street cars with comfort or sports tires on the Nurburgring try and get some high downforce GT500 cars in there and the TT's are a must. Whole new game though. I am not enjoying how slow I am but I know very shortly I will be faster than I ever was.

Nice. Makes a big difference playing GT5 with it.

Now go get yourself a CTR Yellowbird, put comfort soft tires on it, then take it to Nurburgring Nordschleife. Try and do the record lap. You will have a lot of fun. Also take the recommended Lamborghini Gallardo and shift it a low RPMs while slowly slipping off the clutch.

Yeah the real life record. I had a lot of fun trying to do it. Yeah stock.

Why won't you use the clutch? I know the physics are not perfect for it. But it is the main reason I wanted a G27. I just can't imagine not using it.

Also I have the triple plate clutch (the hidden part) on everything so the shifting is a lot better.

Only time I go anywhere near a DS3 since I got a wheel in the GT4 days is if I am driving something specifically for a photoshoot and I either didnt have time or was too lazy to get the wheel out for only a few photos.

Yeah, it's a good wheel. Got the same one about a month or so ago, and I don't think I'd ever try and play Gran Turismo with a controller again.

It will take some time to get into use to to a point where you are at your most confident, but when you do get there you will be fast! I started off with FFB at 10, just to push my self harder.

It was funny when I called my mom to try the DFGT lol

haha i had my dad and uncle (both drunk at the time) try it. My uncle sure knows how to handle his buzz behind the wheel conpared to my dad haha
